i know otg not going to see this but i have an original copy of Quake 1 and it run perfectly on my pc or it did on my laptop with windows xp now i have windows 7 and im not so sure i have yet to play it on this pc

I don't know why, but whenever I play this game, even on hard (which isn't too hard, but enemies do plenty of DPS) and I get the Quad, I pull out the axe and go on a berserker rampage, no matter the difficulty, health amount, ammo amount, nor the enemies I'm fighting. It's just time to kill. And usually die.

NEVER axe a shambler, unless you are a dodging god...

Yo bro i need help i have Win XP and i cant get this thing to load my save files and when i set the settings and go back into the game everything is back to default im using fuhquake .31 can you help me out?

hmm, best i can think to try is, setup all yer settings/config, then open console (~ key) and type:

cfg_save ANYFILENAME

then every time you load,

cfg_load FILENAMEYOUUSEDBEFORE

As he said at the beginning, he's using 'fu' or 'foo' Quake. Greatly improves the graphics :)

i found L4D to be great it didnt really constrate on story tho it went for co op mostly that and L4D dosent have many levels they use the AI director to make the games so the levels dont always play the same i found myself playing the demo ALOT despite it only haveing two maps [a bit of the 2nd map was cut out] although i never get over the AI they really drive me up a wall

L4D wasnt suppose to really focus on the story line, the game was suppose to imitate the survival of a group of people in a zombie movie, hence the movie posters and the cliches or the game.

My goodness, I remember when I played quake with my then best friend(over 10 years ago)...we'd team up, so either of us would control the arrows or the shooting. Twas ridiculous cause we'd scream when fighting a monster since we were just little girls. lol good times.

Quake, oh god the memories, it's been so long since I've played Quake 1.

And to your mention of Left 4 dead, I agree, two levels is a bit shit, but that's how a lot of game demos are now.

It's also Actually worth it, quite a fun game, but really dry story wise.
