The British Council wanted UB40 but had to settle for Misty in Roots. That was in Freetown, Sierra Leone in 1991.

Misty thrilled but when got home we learnt about the war.

It was a similar tale in 1980 when we returned from a mega concert, (at the same venue, Stadium) only to find out that President WiiliamTolbert of Liberia had been overthrown by soldiers, with Master Sergeant Samuel K. Doe at the helm.
