His books are the most unoriginal things ever published. Most of his fans probably haven't read vlassic fantasy/sci-fi like: The Lord of The Rings, Dune, Foundation, Wheel of Time (books 1-6, nothing happens in the rest of them), Dragonriders of Pen, Chronicles of Narnia, etc. Read those and you'll understand why so many peopel dislike Paolini.

Seriously, the books are a plagiarism beyond belief. He takes the Star Wars plot and inserts it into Middle-Earth which he then diligently renames Alagaesia to avoid copyright issue. It's nothing but a dumbed-down version of two epic masterpieces, and you guys think he's awesome? Yawn.

Remember when Eragon said that he could free himself from Galbatorix if his true name changed? If he fell in love with a girl it would change his personality enough that his true name would change as well and then he'd be okay. I really hope that they story plays out that way. <3

I agree, I didn't enjoy Brisingr as much as Eldest, I felt that there wasn't enough action, not nearly as much as there was in Eldest. Sure, the Ra'zac/Lethrblaka fight was great, but even the Battle of Feinster could've been a bit longer and more action packed.

I feel somewhat conflicted about this book in a way, I feel that his actual style in writing has vastly improved along with his ability to tell stories, but Brisingr was probably not his best as there was not a solid plot, there were constant breaks shifting ones views back and forth, now this isn't entirly bad, after all Tolkien did it for the majority, if not all of The Two Towers, but then again that was my least favorite of the three, so maybe it is just me and this particular style, cheers
