This a nice machine it look easy to use but it's not you will waste alots of time changing part to go to the next work our I still go with the bowflex revolution way easier and spaceless
This leverage system is well made and it is of high quality. However training only with this stuff neglecs the stabilizers muscles and will leave you weak like a girl when you will try the real powerlifts ( bench press, squats, and deadlifts).Wanna get big and strong stay with free weights!! These stuff just like smith machines and good clothes hanger nothing more.
@tincansteve While that may be true to an extent, many people may just want a nicely toned muscled body instead of getting huge. Plus using free weights will take its toll on your joints over time and you will most likely have to start to use machines to stay in shape. No matter how strong you are you have to change your style with age eventually and that probably means no more free weights.
@Dar70 No your wrong. Free weights are better for the joints as you move in a natural range of motion, and lifting them actually increases joint strength so your less likely to injure or damage your joints in the future. Also just because you dont want to get huge doesnt mean you should use machines...You'd still be better off with free weights, there alot safer if you know what your doing.
@Telecaster132 Thanks, I guess I will have to do more research. But still this machine has to be better than the bowflex right.LOL At least there is better range of motion. I think coupling this machine with some dumbell excercises would be beneficial.
@Dar70 Yeh man, personally i dont really like or use machines, in my honest opinion I think the best way to achieve a good physique and that muscle tone your after is to stick to the basic compound exercises, i.e. squat, deadlift, row, bench press, chinups, shoulder press. And so i would just invest in a power rack/ cage and a barbell + weights. Stonglifts and Starting Strength are great programs you may be interested in :D
@Telecaster132 I would love to use free wreights, but have recently been diagnosed with Degenerative Disc disease.(basically arthritis in my lower back and neck) Its mild and my doctor says not to worry. (I just turned 40) He told me its not uncommon at my age especially all the lifting I have done over the years on my job. Most people develop it,some early some later. One of the major reasons we shrink as we age.I will ask him about the free weights,Im sure squats will be out though.lol
The gym is very solid, it does not rock or shake. It does not squeak or groan. I purchased Body Solid rubber coated weights for this. This gym has an 8 foot x 10 foot footprint. Assembly is rather straight forward, but would have been much easier if I had another person to help me. Thanks for posting this video
Picked this up at Dick's Sporting Goods for $999. Took my time to assemble it alone. Took a total of 7 hours. The gym is absolutely fantastic. Only complaints are some minor paint chips from mediocre packaging (easily fixed by getting car paint touch-up); Was missing 5 bolts but easily purchased locally from parts list. Number on parts were not the same as numbers in assembly manual. Ab grip's rubber bumper was on wrong side of grip. These minor grips aside; HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
not realy work cos there is no free weights lifting no need to control the bar just lift and that waste the power of holding the bar in the air then the muscle will not grow
I have the workbench system and it is really well made stuff. The smoothness of the press arm and the pulley system puts the stuff in most pro-gyms to shame.
I just bought this set unit. Stirdy and well built -- well worth the money and much better than the cheap cable/pulley system. It has warranty for life
The best gym would have lots of squat racks, barbells and weights. A couple of benches aswell. Then a bunch of areas for deadlifting and olympic lifting. Lots of space and room too. That would be perfect. A stretching area with foam rollers and pull up, dip bars.
Holy shit! This is The best professional home gym I have ever seen! its like hammer smith machines all in one! if i get that i wont need to go to outside gyms!! daaaaamn
nice..the price plz
