novak is waaay underrated, my favorite drummer period, his feel, chops, and musicality are unmatched, every note he plays works perfectly in every tune ive heard him play
no one can be compared to vinnie..of course that's just my opinion..but vinnie can be easily heard novak's playing..off time inverted shuffle's or "the power" he uses on drums to sound what he sounds..vinnie invented it.:)
One of my favorite Corea recordings of all time...great stuff.
