Hili song linanikumbusha RFA katika kile kipindi cha zilipendwa kilichokuwa kinarindima usiku wa kuanzia saa nne usiku siku ya j'pili. Hili song huwa kila nikilisikia linanitia moyo katika maisha.
Very sad this great musician died in my country Kenya on his way to a place called " small world night club " for the night show.Even thought it is believed on this part of the road where he had a very fatal car accident was haunted by spirits on the dead. But since then it has been cleansed.
I initially came to know this as a Tanzanian band called Morogoro Jazz. It attracted me because of the sheer telent of Mbaraka in combining his version of swahili language composition and the guitar style he developed by basically, knowingly or unknowingly constructing a Mbaraka version of the legendary Franco style on which I basically developed my earlier tastes of popular African music in the early sixties when i was a mere teenager in the early 1960s.
Listen to Stanley Mtambo, how he is playing the double string rhythm guitar, it reminds me that time, and these are the last songs of Mbarak before his death. He was up on the top 10's his concerts were parked. Stanley Mtambo, Shaibu, and Joseph we performed together, I left them in Nairobi, Joseph and Stanley were performing for a Gospel band in Ngara Nairobi, Shaibu had left to Tanzania with one of my singers Late Nico Zengekala who passed away in Tanzania too.

East or West home is best. huku tumekuja tu kutembelea na kufanya, lakini ni vizuri kutembelea ugenini then and only then do you know how blessed and privileged you are in your own home/country, otherwise it is human nature to take things for granted untill they do not have it any more. Kenya mwisho, America mimi hapana wezi koisha hapa milele come rain or sunshine.
@MrNass2000 Dugu yangu, sina lakusema. Hapa America ni kama mombasa.Kuingia lahisi ,kutoka ngumu.
Kweli hizi ndizo zilizovuma hakuna zingine. Mungu ibariki Africa mashariki, I'm glad Kenya came out of last year election problem. Lets hold each others hands and guide each other as good neighbours when necessarry, because we all have shida and if we turn against each other I guess we will just try to outdo each other to satisfy our ego and on the other hand poverty not leave us. Lets focus more on brotherhood Kenya, Uganda, TZ, Burundi, Rwanda, Zanzibar, Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia and all Africa
TMDREDY i WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE YOU GREW UP, you sound like you were in Eldy or what? This song reminds me life in Langas Soweto kwa nyumba za changaa where santuri zilikuwa zinapigwa na Rivatex ilikuwa bad inafanya kazi, fuata nyayo etc
my gran dad rarely laughed with we kids (wajukuu wake)and never danced to any kind of music.but one sunday morning this tune was on v.o.k, mazee mzee hakujifunga, alidance mpaka tukadhani atadedi but alifanya evryone kui-lyk.granny r.i.p.the way alidance niliona another pic of him

walai thanks for internet, back to tradition, i mean i used to listen to this songs when i was a young boy back in 80s and 90s, you know after luch time, men it is part of kenya history
remember we lived in Kitale..my mom played this song a lot..she had had a really road accident that left her with a back injury and unable to walk but my mother is a fighter...she was able to walk again...run businesses and became very successful...life can throw you shit but you have to fight like a lion. I don't take bull shit from life.

bwanakeino, shukrani kwako mzee. hii ndio baraka. I heard this song when I wasvery young. it reminds me of my late uncle. una wimbo: matatizo ni ya kila mtu yatakapotokea nitakusaidia... ndugu yangu mimi naona ni kawaida eee ..... sijui aliuimba nani lakini wimbo mtamu huo. atakayeupata tafadhali uweke hapa ili tujikumbushe.
Good Music Bwana, it takes me all the way back to Malawi although I still can not translate the whole song, it was my best song. East African music was very popular in my teen days in Malawi.
You Have To Read This! You Won't Belive this! make a wish - - - - - - - . . . . . now that you have your wish it will happen! in exactly 4 days.just copy this and paste it to 4 videos!! only one wish use it wisely and it WILL HAPPEN!!! but if you break your chain wish your wish will be the opposite
thaks for putting this song it means a lot to me as a kenyan made ma day it means a lot and explains all . Thanks for posting in you tube oh am just having some wine vodo will do kesho.
He could have been. But he messed up for Odinga. Many Kenyans will never forget. The best he can do is to keep cool and publicly apologise to the opposition. Everytime, I see Kalonzo, I worry!
You need not to worry, politics is a game, every one of them is playing their best cards, some want to rule for ages but am sure the vijana of today are working on getting those old guys out of the politics, let us see how far we will get, five years to go.
Ask not what Bwanakeino can do but what you can can add to match his contribution!Mbaraka Mwishe demonstrates the strive between the poor and rich in East Africa in this classic piece.Hope the Kikuyu heed his advise and stop thinking Kenya belongs to them!
Kudos Bwanakeino! This is the right time for me to just take time and listen to this track...Kenya is now on fire, burning under ethnic violence and lives have been lost. It is terrible...Oh what a sad day in the history of our beautiful nation. Only if we could remember the insightful words of this MUSICIAM HERO...then we would be more sober. Oh Kenya shida hivi sasa, ndugu mbona twapigana sisi wenyewe kwa wenyewe?
i agree with the above sentiments.....please if you have "Mapenzi Yanitesa" "Tina Turudiane""Wanasoka" "Expo 70" "Kibena" "Utanikondesha Maria" and any of the 70,s MMM , MBARAKA MWINSHEHE MWARUKA , I will be very happy ,This Man Was My Hero!!!! and will reciprocate in kind , May god bless you richly!!!!!!
Thanks. I love this song. I remember my dad had it on those small "sahani ya santuris" I had to seat on the floor and flip the records for him while he drank pilsner. I was a Dj at 7 years old.....memories.
Reminds me of those old good days of platform shoes, bell-bottom trousers and afro. The Sanyo kinanda and jukebox ruled in village discos. Busaa was served in Kimbo cans. These would make our parents forget poverty for a while. Luhya, Luo, Kisii, Kalenjin, Kikuyu and the rest were one people. Iddi Amin was the only enemy-he wanted to grab Kenya up to, I think, Naivasha. But he backed down when we showed him our might.
