  • Steven snapped on everybody!

  • Al Corley and Pamela Sue Martin was great as Steven and Fallon!!! This scene was very good for being Dynasty, the most trashy show during the 80's. I love Joan Collins, but Falcon Crest and Dallas was so much better!

  • This scene was so ahead of its time for television... fantastic, moving performances!

  • I'M IN TEARS!!!!

  • The acting is so pathetic.

  • This is almost Shakespeare!

  • Bad acting.

  • @miguelucho20008 Nope ,man. This IS good acting, comparing to nowadays films

  • Respect for Al Gorley for taking on this role and really performning fine in this scene! wow!

  • This scene always makes me tear up -

  • crystals bangs are in direct proportion to the horizontal spread of her breasts. this is called crystals law in mathematics. should this proportion be altered in any way planes will drop from the skies and step sons may come out.

  • can i have this orchestra when i come out to my family?

  • after 30yrs this scene still grips me, very powerful indeed

  • This is so incredibly fantastic I can't even say. I never thought I'd see something like this from that time.

And the acting is so different to now...although whether it's improved or not is a good question. I just loved it. :)

  • Very well done! Al Corley was Steven.

  • kudos for Al Corley!! Great performance, I wonder if he had already decided to leave the show and knew this would be his last episode... He sure gave it his best!

  • great line from alexis. dont let the past destroy the present.

  • what was that stupid crockery doing there when anyone could have knocked it over at anytime. anyway. and it was obviously more important than this wonderful soliloquy. ooh arent i posh.that is a fantastic speech and the reaction from alexis. dont let the past destroy the present is amazing

  • why is it when blake is having a quiet drink in in his own house, his son walks in and doesnt even knock the door first. then his daughter , wife and ex wife.this is a massive house and theyre all millionaires.i love watching this and then royle family.

  • in the french version, he actuelly doesn't say "I'm gay"... He says: "i'm not who you think i am. Say it, say it, I'm sick"...and she says "Steven is sick".... :(

  • Of all the characters Fallon finally admitted Stephen is Gay...........This show used to be really good until They tried to turn Stephen into a Heterosexual.................ignorant mistake.............

  • wow, this scene is actually beautiful.

  • @getoutofmyway01

Its a very good scene and sad..............It help seperate Dynasty from Dallas.....

  • wow...hottie

  • isnt it amazing that in this massive house , they all happen to be passing the room that steven and his father are having a barney, all dressed up as though theyre on their way to a wedding.what a great speech by steven carrington.puts obamma in the shade.

  • Wow!!! I forgot how much of an impact this show could put forth with such a strong topic. Aaron Spelling was way ahead of his time and knew a change in TV drama must be made.

    Thanks for the clip.

  • Sad to know that John Forsythe died today . . :(

  • wow, that was pretty controversial back then. lol

  • "say it! steven is gay! somebody say it!"

    this shit is hilarious xD

  • Blake cares more of the old vase than of his own son.

  • @HaganDave youd think he would have put the vase somewhere safer

  • This is so powerful scene as I remembered watched, when younger. So come out closet in the 80's.

  • I always thought of him as bi-sexual really since he was attracted to both sexes, both Al and John played the role so well I think-I loved the way John un-did his tie in the titles it was so casual and Al seemed to be all fingers in thumbs.

I understand that it was very contaversial at the time to have a character like that, if it were made in today's society the network wouldn't be bothered by it. Thanks for sharing:)

  • It was quite unusual that such a glamorous show like Dynasty tackled the subject of homosexuality, and yet a domestic orientated show like Knots Landing never had a gay character.

Dallas portrayed it once when Lucy fell for closetted Kit Mainwaring.

  • this show was priceless. I was merely a child when it was on, but i was swept off my tender feet! lol This Steven was incredibly handsome, as was John James (but his character wasn't nearly as fascinating). I LOVED Steven's storyline, and i remember how gay characters/men were supposed to be unappealing to women (i'm a female), hah! Ridiculous assumption. All the girls loved him! This video brings back great memories...

  • WE LOVE YOU TOO! VEY VERY VERY MUCH!

  • This guy was not only a wonderful actor, but so very handsome. No wonder I had a crush on him when I was 13. I still do.

  • You go Steven! This mirrors the relationship I have with my father.

  • Excellent scene! Although I dont remember Al Corley playing Steven only Jack Coleman as i came to know Dynasty much later in the series.

  • This is fantastic! What a shame Al Corley left the series before his groundbreaking character could come into its own; he was completely believable as a wounded gay man, whereas Jack Coleman always seemed like a bemused straight guy trying play a gay one.

  • There was no point of him staying if Steven was involved with women. That part fit Jack Coleman well.

  • Fabulous passage !!!

    Greetings from Holebi's ♥♂♂,♀♀♥

  • If you think of this Soap was in the 80´s is really cool and brave that a Popular TV series spoke clearly about the gay theme and coming out in the Family.....

    very interesting!

  • I think Al Corley was the best Steven character you can tell how much of himself he puts into the character

  • Bo Hopkins and All Corley were the two best actors Dynasty ever had, and they were both gone within the first two seasons! This is by far my favorite Al Corley scene! Jack Coleman sucked big time in comparison.

  • One of the Best Scenes of the Dynasty Show but yes the Homophobes kept trying to make Steven Carrington Straight. Al Corley was the only Man to play this part and He really believed in the character. He even mentioned in a Documentary about the show that only other male gay character before his was Jodie from "Soap" and he wanted to make Gay People taken more realistically...... Hollywood has a lot to learn.

  • Its clear that Al Corley would have made Steve a historical and groundbreaking gay character. It was confortable in his own skin to push to portray the character realistically...too bad the homophobes ruled.

  • I love this scene... powerful performance from Corely.

  • Actually, Al Corley reprised his role as Steven in the "reunion" miniseries that aired in 1991.

  • I do mention that in a couple of other videos. I meant the original 9-season run of the series. Plus, I'm really trying to block that hideous "Reunion" out. I think the Pollocks and the Shapiros were high when they put it together.
