  • I love the RBE idea, but I am unsure of how to proceed. I have a small company (of one), and the point of it is to provide equipment to expand people's independence in a green & responsible manner. I feel like I'm in the right concern, but am inexorably tied to the financial system. How do I proceed? I could expand my rentals of solar equipment to reduce the need for ownership, but that doesn't solve all the issues.

I'd love to hear the transition plan from where we are to where we need to be.

  • very realistic, what a briliant man the only thing i worry about is that Fresco said in 1974(interview larry king) mankind have about 25 years to make this happen because they fuck up the nature and need 10 years to build a great part of the venus project did they already start to build a model?

  • Fresco has been working on sustainable cities for years now. The issue is not whether we have the technology and make something like this work, but rather, the issue is that the people have to want to move into this direction. That's why it's important that we spread this information as much as we can. I happen to be a member of the Zeitgeist movement and I'm trying to play my part. We have to start taking personal responsibility any way we can.

  • why the dramatic music?

  • Absolutely Right On Jacque Fresco! Thanks for sharing my friend. :)

  • Let me add another comment about opinions. Even experts have different opinions about problems. Look at economists opinion of how to handle our economic problems. Brainstorming is the act of giving your opinion of how to solve a problem when we don't know the answer. The real task is having people with knowledge give opinions and somehow filtering them to actionable items. Watch FOX new talk shows for examples of useless opinions. But then, bullsh*t brings ratings.

  • @chadinterrupted I appreciate your enthusiasm but money is the primary way of transferring goods and services, a store of wealth if you will. We would need a large number of special robots to do all he advocates and we are a long way from that. Jacque is a wonderful idea man but Utopian ideas always sound wonderful until they are tried. Where is his detailed plan of how all these robots get built? When good are free, how do you value a persons work? Even so, I like his ideas.

  • @Photog60 Most of the technology Jacque talks about exist. If you read any of his books "looking forward" and the best that money can't buy" he goes into detail about many of the questions you bring up and does so very easily. And here's another website that services as showing the public the current technological advancements of the present day "zeitnews.org".

  • @Photog60 money is a form of CONTROL we don't need robots to be united and work and share everything money was designed by the corrupt few to control us and divide us (poor vs rich) gold is a shiney rock? how do you put worth on it its a joke and 'they' are laughing why don't we just trade pencils i'll pay you 400 pencils a week to work for me what a joke
  • @Photog60

All measurements will have a physical reference.

  • Jacque is a very smart guy but I think he is wrong about production of goods should be free. First, counter to what he stated, communism is based on the idea of shared work and shared production which is close to his idea. Of course that didn't work since it removes the reward incentive.

  • Other Utopian ideas have been tried with little success. He states that if there were plenty of goods, they become very inexpensive or free but how does all the production and energy get paid for? Take the case of rich kids who have everything, do they go out and get jobs to earn what they get? No, they just squander what they have. This is why his idea of society won't work. His designs for cities however are great.

  • @Photog60 yeah, but i think you're missing the point. people will have no choice or they'll loose what they have. they'll have to work to keep it that way. that's your intensive. jacque never said this was a utopian idea. he said he's doing everything he can to try and make the world a better place. i personally think that if everybody advocated this it would work because even the little things that become problems could be evaluated at that point and easily fixed.

  • this man got a point is a shame most of the people don't understand is another way of life

  • LOL Man is so stupid he doesnt even know how to create a GOD!

  • You fools! He has everything to show for his 30 years of work he has change me, these are not failed ideologies to me, and if they are to you it's because you made them appear that way. and in a few years time when our earth is raped and cannot give or provide us with life any longer it will be your fault, because YOU dismissed it as failed, have any of you reseached beyond this video on the venus project? They do not ask for much, and i being 16 cannot give them much but i can support them

  • He did not say "I do not believe in god." he said he was not religious, i am not, but i believe in god i just don't believe in the god that is man made that hates, hurts, and sends you to hell, hell does not exist In the end we all came from the same place, person, science experiment so we are all one . Technology can change this world for the better and save this planet, which you need to participate in saving regardless of your "religion"

  • @h2oC2 If you lived 3000 years ago in Egypt, you would be worshipping Horus. If you lived in Greece 2000 years ago, you would believe in Zeus. If you lived 2000 years ago in Rome, you would be worshipping Mars.

Imagine the amount of confident people from the past who worshipped their god. It goes for every religion out there. Are the majority of people who worshipped a different God... Just wrong?

  • The smartest and most intelligent man on earth has never overcome death; whereas, the humblest and most spiritual man did. That one man that has overcome death is now our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is seated at the right hand of all mighty God and will some day return for those that believe, have repented for their sins, confessed that Jesus is the beloved Son of God, have been baptized for the remission of their sins, and struggle to live a Christian life.

    -Believe and have faith

  • @h2oC2 Resource Based Economy would be ideal to practice faith

  • These people mean well and should be applauded for genuinely trying to find a solution to the (real) problems they have highlighted rather than whine about it. Unfortunately, the solution TVP offers isn't just naive, it's a reshashed version of failed ideologies such as communism (at best) or star-trekish utopianism (at worst). Jacques has nothing to show for 30 years of promoting his vision except diagrams of 'the city of the future' which too me looks an impractical thx 1138 nightmare

  • 5:10 you should be more open about other peoples religions and actually study them before critizing them.

  • @kalebkadub what he is saying is actually true. people do believe that there was a world wide flood according to the bible. and i have to say i totally agree with him that believing such an idea is nuts.

the bible, koran and tora are full of these rediculous stories. you dont have to be a genius and study these books since they have no factual basis whatsoever.

  • @kalebkadub Really....

  • I would rather work and get something for working then getting things for nothing its how nature works its how the world goes around.

  • @kalebkadub Your life spectrum it is what is!

  • @kalebkadub Try building your own house, mining the steel for your car, refining your gas, generating your electricity, stitching your own clothing and growing your own food. After a failed attempt at that, you will find that document creation is a much easier way to get someone else to do that stuff for you.

  • loved to hug him one day. :)

    Witch a big hug :D

  • More information in 10 minutes...

Than in a lifetime of News...

  • Didn't the ZM and the Venus project split?

  • I love him too backerfieldmusicnow! I have to write a ten page research essay for class and I am sooo happy that my best friend pointed me towards the Zeitgeist movies. The more I learn and listen to what he and Peter Joseph has to say, the more excited I get :)

  • LOVE THIS MAN

  • This is the most time I hear people say "wake up" this year, and it's only April. That's when you know people, including the ones saying so, are finally getting out of the horrible dream, and hoping to make a chance as they leap off their beds, and think. Everyone.... WAKE UP

  • @enlighteneveryone its called teh american dream beacuse you ahve to be alseep to believe it ....

  • so much admiration for this here old geezer, can't help but love Jacque!

  • my herooo frescoooo

  • Our times da vinci

  • Jacque Fresco WILL make history.

  • @fLRedSpade Jacque fresco has made history.

  • @TheTaohana

Not yet because history technically represents the past.

  • 'People know many things, and half of them are wrong'- Orson Scott Card

    pg. 143 from "Hidden Empire"

  • @tangel476 thats why i fully admit i know nothing... i understand alot of things tho... (yes i understand that this is arguing syntax but... think about it if some one says to you "I KNOW THAT." it seems as if they put up a wall and no longer want to listen, but if someone says "I UNDERSTAND THAT." it is still an open discussion of ideas with no walls or bounderies)

  • It sounds like Peter is singing the Lennon's song in the intro. Anyone know?

  • @skullnboner It's a redo done by A Perfect Circle.

  • Is Jacque at the Apollo? hehe

He makes me proud to be human!

  • we are all cowards leaches

  • way to go "Al" Fresco.

  • да нахуй деньги ! )

  • Next year, it might be ideal to have Jacques filmed in a more put together fashion, while looking a bit more official and accessible. I totally support TZM, just thought this could help win some people over ( as silly it may be).

  • Well he is very charismatic. I'll give him that.

But I don't know enough about the project to draw a reasonable opinion yet.

  • if i was rich i would put all my wealth towards jacques vision. i believe this type of world IS achievable.

  • I a minimum wage worker.... I would give up everything I own that i possess for a future like this.

  • I hate the way americans cheer and woot and everything. Just listen to the man and think about what he has to say. He doesnt need ur applause to make his points valid, they speak for themselves.

  • @deathwings11 seriously. they are applauding to applaud. they dont understand what they are hearing.

  • @deathwings11 tbh i would have applauded myself. HE DESERVES IT! How can you contain yourself around a man like him?

  • @TheSBDroid2 i think u missed the point.

  • @deathwings11 yea i think i did ^^

  • finally there,s light at the end of the tunnel common sense wow!!! jasque your the man

  • I would give if I could 5 years of my life to this man ...

  • @mmaestrul do it

  • Comment removed

  • "Man is so stupid, he doesn't even know how to create a God!" Classic. I truly love and admire how this man's mind works!

  • @bleeworld As the bible said God is an image of man. man is corrupt so is God.

  • @XLuminariumX ...yeah, that's if you choose to believe everything the bible says, fortunately I don't have that problem.

  • @kousoulides If Jesus was alive, he would advocate the venus project. Have you not read the new testament? Jesus has no time for money, greed and power.

The venus project targets these sinful activities. If more christians behaved like Jesus the world would be a better place. Unfortunately the church is no different than any other institution, power hungey, greedy and authoritarian.

The venus project is about stoping poverty, starvation, greed, crime etc...

    Jesus Christ would support it.

  • @BabySatch1 I know, I was just being sarcastic, its funny how the church describes heaven like a place were no money exist there is abundance and people don't need to work as slaves,

It's so funny... "eat this shit now, when you die everything will be ok, I promise"

YOU EAT THE SHIT PRIEST DIIEEEEE

  • @kousoulides i may not be as intelligent as jacque but i'm smart enough to know your some christian fundamentalist douche bag. Raised to believe that you have control over me. fugnugget

  • @PinkneysDefiant

I was being sarcastic I am a fan of the guy and I am an atheist as well, I just have a weird sense of humor.

  • @kousoulides ps i was raised catholic

  • I am donating all I can! The Venus Project is needing supplies to build the first sustainable city.

  • This man is a legend.

  • i want ro join this community! i want to create a better place!

  • Join the zeitgeist movement! :D Lets work together, Im ready!

  • thumbs up if you agree with Jacque Fresco!!!!!! =)

  • I've been very lucky to meet Jacque and Roxanne personally, their work and ideas are the ONLY sollution for having any sensible future, if we don't try to build VENUS PROJECT we are going to live in a hellish world and no Jesus, Budha, Allah or any other god will help us... be sceptic, have opposing opinion, critisize but WAKE UP first !

  • THANKS JACQUE, ROXANNE AND PETER and EVERYONE who cares about what we live behind!

  • You are the best I know for what you do

  • You are the man Jacques, ty for standing up!

  • what's the name of the john lennon imagine remix in the beginning?

  • @Aro2220 imagine- Aperfectcircle:)

  • If there is eternal life and peaople has to go to heaven this man should be the first person to be there. This man gave all his life designing for better future for genertaions to come sacrificing his life with out promising mythological heaven..

  • how have i not heard of this before?!

  • @andresico2 Perfect Circle- Imagine, good music

  • dark007gs thats what i'm saying , Jacque Fresco does nor MAKE us live better , he just offers a better society . and our current system , well your current system , it sucks ....

  • fantastic jacque, my favorite person

  • For those who are still not convinced, give these articles (published in a South African newspaper) a discerning read (witnessthis.coza):

A RESOURCE BASED ECONOMY: A possible future (posted under Quite Interesting)

Part 1: The power of the planet

Part 2: A world without money

Part 3: Incentive to work in a moneyless society

    Part 4: Future by Design

    Part 5: Smart Homes

    Part 6: Automated governance?

    Peace.

  • and why the fuck do you think he is talking about the same shit every time, because no one heard it the first time , the second time etc , just accept it , you have been brainwashed.

  • @123jivotnozubo mabey id rather be brainwashed by these ideas then the ones our current system offers

  • If we don't we will run out of resources, start wars to get more resources and ultimately keep that vicious circle going until we destroy ourselves

  • Nothing has changed because the people haven't done anything about it.

look at the comments most messages of fear for "new world order" and Nazis

he states his idea of how to change things to get you to think of the possibilities.

It's saddening to thinks that the only way people will want change is by suffering and death. What this man is doing is giving you something to think about It doesn't mean his plan is perfect that's why we need world unification to work together to fix our issues

  • Jacque Fresco for president.

  • this video has 26k views yet the new ijustine parody has over 100k in the first week.

    sad sad

  • The audience sounds like they were expecting a Pep-Rally

  • where can I get the song that is playin' in the beginning?

  • @philinmotion its a john Lennon cover of the song 'imagine' done by A perfect circle

  • @elotroyo81 thank you ! I really like the cover better than the original.

  • @Devilock79

this man is not a nazi

we have to responsibility for this planet

we cannot destroy the one thing that gives us life

this is the only chance we have

we must live to protect human life and planet earth(home)

  • And now the truth comes out. People don't have a right to their own opinion? Does he propose some kind of though police? Is this the new age of the Nazis? Sure looks like it to me.

  • @Devilock79 No, he pointed out the dangerous aspect of having "your opinion", because "your opinion" in particle physic is meaningless compared to physicist's opinion in particle physics :) So is your comment.

  • @hybrid212

What the hell are you talking about? You are as insane as this man is. I tell you what, you can sit around and keep dreaming of this utopia with the rest of the lunatics and the rest of us will keep trying to make this world a better place. Enjoy your cult.

  • @Devilock79 Take a deep breath, watch the video again, watch his lectures, read their FAQ and ask questions.

  • @Devilock79 And what exactly are you doing that's making this world a better place?

  • @mrcomedy454

Trying to make people realize that there is no utopian solution to our problems. We can't just rely on some impossible idea to change anything. As Fresco said himself, TVP would need every single country in the world to sign up in order for it to work. That's never going to happen. TVP is a destination but there's no map. We all know what needs to be done but ideas like these hold people back from acting because they are waiting for others to do things first.

  • @Devilock79 Hes pushing ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT and you people are falling for it as usual. This guy is like fucking 90 yrs old and telling you how to create the future and he wont even be here. Hes conditioning your mind to conform to the new world order.

  • @falseistrue

No need to tell me. I actually followed this shit two years ago. I joined the ZM forums but when I actually started to ask questions about what they've been doing and why Fresco makes so much money off this stuff they banned my ip address. They rely on people swallowing everything Fresco says without asking questions. Once you actually start thinking about this stuff rationally you see what bullshit it really is. All his ideas are based on sci fi novels written 50+ years ago.

  • @Devilock79 wow. Yeah hes been saying this shit since 1974..not one thing happened from his ideas.

  • @Devilock79

yeah, 50 years ago and the people have done nothing.

They continue to vote for liars and cheats who pissed away the elderly retirement money and FUCKED america

  • @RomulanMastermind dude, America wasn't yours anyway, it belongs to everyone on the planet, not just the sons of the guy who won a dick fight 400 years ago... People don't want America, when you start to realise that, you'll start to wonder who it is you're fighting...

  • @Devilock79 We don't need every single country in the world to make his plans work. He just wants all people of all country's to unite together as a human race because as of right now we view ourselves separate from everyone and everything else. That's our major drawback.

I understand what you mean by waiting for someone to take initiation before you plunge in yourself. But me personally, I'm waiting for the new Zeitgeist movie to see what their plans actually are before I take initiation.

  • Jacque such a inteligence with 94 years, I wish people of this rocky planet will realize soon that is only solution 2 make next step in evolution is the wise word of this MAN.....

    Greetings from Serbia/Belgrade

  • Nice.. a 'true enlightened master' as one would seek nowadays.. sad too many fase preachers.. people look for neon enlightments.. .. as Patrice puts it in his music.. the truth.. ah soo nice to find a pure soul.. like Fukuoka once was and wrote about.. life changing books.. and so many others..

  • Jacque Fresco is a genius. He says it like it is, and like it should be without doing the Age of Aquarius OR Star Trek BS.

The future is here, now. Its time to make it ours, it belongs to all of us.

  • By the way, i dont understand how can Mr. Fresco says that: " We were all brought to believe that everyone should have the right to their own opinion. Now let me tell u the danger of that". Please someone would be kind in answering please. Cheers

  • @johnyboy6405

He's a Nazi brainwashing people into joining his Luciferian Nazi cult. Nazi, Zionist, whatever you want to call it.

  • @Devilock79 hahaha :D are you alright?:D

  • Gold brothers.. pure gold...

  • this man is muslim

  • @ASKIAOTA what? even if he was a muslim, so what?

  • @hybrid212 i said that because he's speaking the truth

  • I need to get off my ass and attend one of these

  • WOW!.. right on Grandpa!...

If the Venus project starts tomorrow, I'll leave everything in my life, and depart to Venus ASAP!.

  • @JohnHolmesDick

He is like great great great grandpa - 94 years old and doing awesome! A definite example of the ability to keep ourselves sharp and young.

  • another foolish

  • I am rich, and would give up my wealth to live in a world that Jacque envisions.

  • @FreeBlago1 Surprising statement from a person named FreeBlago.

  • @FreeBlago1 donate to the venus project

  • @FreeBlago1: When you realised that the 3 main cornerstones of our civilization are BROKEN, monetary system, governmental system and religious system.

With renewed realization that we are poisoning our planet to death, can we not see that we are NO DIFFERENT than the Ape Man ???.

Jacque's scheme is the best and most well developed, it needed people of like-minds and dedication in order to succeed. You can see that major governments will not do anything until after 2012.

  • @FreeBlago1 Question... Why not give a large portion of money to him then? Help build this reality, i'm not challenging you, i'm simply asking, if you want it, why not move towards it... You'd go out and buy a car if you wanted it, you'd possibly even pay to be cryogenically frozen, (that much you wont see either) why not donate to help then?

  • @FreeBlago1 Well, if you fund the first city, I can think of a few million people that would volunteer to build it.

  • @KyleBatenburg I'm currently studying economics and I'll happily give the first million I make off these bastards to the Venus Project. If I'd seen this one or two years sooner I'd be studying Computer Science now...

  • @KyleBatenburg wouldn't it be more appropriate to let volunteer engineers built 3D-Printers and detailed specs for the buildings Mr. Fresco thought up? But I totally agree.

  • @KyleBatenburg i cant volunteer with any psychial labors ( i was hit by a mack truck in 2005 and suffered major spinal damage as a result) but i have knowlege in robotics electonic comuter science (i have certs and degrees in these feilds) and i was a firefighter before the accident so just like stephen hawkins my body may not work but my mind is going full speed ahead... i would love to take part in the building of the first city in any way shape or form that i am capiable of

  • @kenmabie please do :)

  • @TheTaohana i hope i get the chance :)

  • @KyleBatenburg I am SOOOOOO ready for that. It's going to take some doing though, as in more then money. Once electronics, food, clothing and of course pure water can be produced from fully automated system we will be able to construct the First City, assuming we can find a way to get land.

  • @FreeBlago1 so if you are rich ,help in order to built the 1st Venus cities...contact with Fresco.

  • @FreeBlago1 why not start a community center where people come and exchange goods and services, ideas with the principle goal of not using money etc etc? that's what I'm going to do. I'm not rich at all but it is a mission to do all I can toward a better future, there's no greater purpose. when people experience it in practice it will make alot more sense to them, it's going to be tough letting go of our attatchment to our current system so I think you've got to keep re-looking at what yr doing.

  • @FreeBlago1 so do it. At least something to support the movement.

  • @FreeBlago1 You can contribute your wealth to you're local chapter ???

  • @TZMNewYork

Don't bother, do something even better. Go to Jacque's place in Florida and ask him: "What can i do to help?"

  • @FreeBlago1 Giving part of your wealth to promote his vision, share it, make it happen is definetly a good start!

    :-)

  • @FreeBlago1 1:10 <---- Would you give up your opinion to live out someone else's vision?

Dont even bother answering that, your opinion makes you dangerous according to Jacque´s opinion, so i better not listen to what your going to say, cause whatever my opinion is about that isnt considered valid either.

This isnt 1984, cause they had politicians who influenced the public opinion to maintain order and control. In his world, without politics, you simply dont have an opinion.

  • @Kaandorpius You missed the point. His comment about nobody having an opinion was based around the fact that most people form opinions without appropriate knowledge or understanding.

The opinion of a guy whose read all of a book is obviously superior and more well informed, compared to a guy who has only read the first page.

  • @MSgtGRiM

"The opinion of a guy whose read all of a book is obviously superior and more well informed, compared to a guy who has only read the first page."

Who's to say who knows more just based on a book? You think bookknowledge will carry you through life alone?

You are talking about scientifically labeling individuals with rights, plights and restrictions, according to their supposed intelligence and education, perhaps even on their physical and mental health.

    How you feel bout eugenics?

  • @Kaandorpius That was just a rough example of what I was talking about.

Yes, I am talking about labeling individuals, because that's absolutely appropriate. Would you want an uninformed, untrained intern performing surgery on you? Well no, he's unfit for the job, so you label him as such so he isn't mistaken for someone competent enough to succeed. This isn't about negativity, or placing people in groups. It's about clarification. e.g: I would take a surgeons advice over an interns advice.

  • @Kaandorpius You do still have your opinion. On the design of the house of your neighbor, for instance.

But not on politics. Politics is a concept to manage our funds in order to make the country a better place. If we realize Fresco's Idea, there's no countries, no politics - and therefore no NEED for opinion.

You could also still have an opinion about what to teach children and how - but that's nothing a war would break out over is it? Fresco basically takes the fuel from every fire - money.

  • @DjCyara

"You do still have your opinion. On the design of the house of your neighbor, for instance. But not on politics."

Thats insane, somewhere in the back of your mind you must realize that.

"and I'll happily give the first million I make off these bastards to the Venus Project."

    You are insane....

"Fresco basically takes the fuel from every fire - money."

You are shorthand on incentives for discord. You may take the pricetag away, but you cannot take away its value.

  • @Kaandorpius How can I realize certain things if you don't disprove me? Millions of religious people believe in a man in the sky, do you think they get better if you call them insane? No.

The Venus Project will make politics unneeded - Politics is based around compromises and opinions, but not around solutions. That will change.

Incentives are not needed, there's not even ownership. Would you please honestly listen to Mr. Fresco? Zeitgeist: Moving Forward is a nice introduction.

  • @Kaandorpius what do all the problems in the world boil down to? MONEY. there are no two ways about it, if you dont think money fuels all bad things in life, then you my friend are insane

  • @Kaandorpius why do we put value on the neccessities to living? surely, the necessities to living should have no pricetag?

why do we put value and pricetags on love?

why do we put value and pricetags on education?

why do we put value and pricetags on anything? when we have enough of everything to go around for everyone?

  • @merkingGuy why do we chage hurdereds of thousands of dollars for education , making schools sell candy, or oranges, or pizzas to get funding for computers in the class rooms and books ect... but yet the government has enough money to bomb lybia, irag, afghanastan, ect... ?

wouldnt it be nice if just for a day that every school in the world got all the educational implents they need and the military had to have a bake sale to buy their jets bombs guns bullets ect...

  • You know whats funny....

When he says that opinions are dangerous,.. people laugh, but the guy is dead serious. You folks can contribute all the wealth you want, but they dont want your opinion, they just want you to have their opinion.

Prove me right people by giving me your opinions where you defend someone elses opinion as if it we´re your own while attacking mine.

  • uhh..full video???

  • this version of imagine is more indulgent than the original ughh!

  • I love it, he was so aggresive here ( REALLY GOOD THING - STRAIGHT TO THE POINT) :) amazing how he still can pull this out in his 94.. right ? :)

Most influental person in history for me.

  • This is the kind of change i'm talkin about ! I'm sick of this damn society we're living in with all the problems you know you've faced, unless you were born into a rich family and have never seen the world. We need to get together, and start working for the change.
