  • Makes me proud to play the trumpet. And also is there anyplace to get sheet music for this??

  • 1:24 to the end is awesome.

  • 1:25-1:32 makes me happy.

  • I'm a tuba player myself, but I do love the sound of Drum Corps. Their basslines are amazing!

  • @Bangurdead25

I absolutely agree. I got a chance to be part of the Blue Devils B Contra line this past year, and watching shows right up close.

    Absolute.Chills.

  • COULD SOMEBODY EXPLAIN TO ME WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DRUM CORPS AND MARCHING BANDS? I AM A HBCU BAND MEMBER AND I LOVE THIS STYLE OF PLAYING. BESIDES THE TRUMPETS SCREAMING ITS VERY MUCH DIFFERENT FROM MY STYLE OF PLAYING IN THE HBCU WORLD AND IM LOVING IT

  • @DUVALDALLASFAN A Drum Corp is very similar to a band in the sense that they perform field shows, where they differ is that Drum Corps only marches brass and percussion as opposed to brass, wood winds, and percussion. Also, the activity takes place during summer with camps usually starting around this time of year and it's a lot more intense, all of the Corps strive for nothing less than perfection.

  • @DUVALDALLASFAN Drum corps is a prfessional band, you have to audition, and then pay a sum just to play with them. These bands consist of many ages from say 16+. These bands are brass and drum bands only... they tour the country and the world....

  • This is the 97 album version played on G bugles.

  • @metroguy109 I much prefer the edge in the sound of the G bugles to the current B-flat horns.

  • Trupets represent at 1:29

  • No matter what this always gives me chills..

  • this is why i love being a brass player.

  • :)

  • Oh god I want sheet music...

  • thumbs up if that high note at 1:29 was ear sex....

  • What about when a man loves a man?

  • Got sheet music for this song :D

  • @peanutbutterjellyti8 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHARE?! I will love you forever! D':

  • @peanutbutterjellyti8 :D i would love you forever if you could send me the score!!!

  • @peanutbutterjellyti8 Wanna share? :D

  • @peanutbutterjellyti8 Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease send me the score for this. That would be wonderful.

  • @peanutbutterjellyti8 could you send it to my email? sevierwarrior@gmail.com. greatly appreciated

  • HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Guess who nuted himself?

  • Would somebody tell me what the difference is between a G bugle and any other ol' trumpet? I'm confused

  • @uubboy14 G's are lower toned, but much more louder, and apparently harder to tune. The reason why everyone wants them to go back to G's is because they literally melt your face off. I've had the pleasure of marching them in the Blue Stars a while ago, they are fun. But, unfortunately Bb's are in the picture now, which unless you're watching Carolina Crown, there is a difference in sound.

  • omfg so cool:D

  • Mellos at 0:57. Nuff said. Represent

  • And 1:24 - 1:30 makes me proud to be a High brass player (:

  • And now I wish I played brass.

  • @VerySnowy You are always welcomed to be a part of the brass players family, haha. Never too late to convert to a brass player i guess?

  • WOOO!

  • help im confused!! what the difference between G horns and Bb???

  • @forrest822 G bugles are in the key of G and take alot more balls to play.

  • @RockstarDaniel lol i figured that much i just didnt know the difference in sound

  • @forrest822 they are a lot louder if you play them right

  • I like this better than the actual song

  • Goodness, those mellophones at 1:32 almost gave me a heart attack.

  • G BUGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:24-1:30...Nevermind,0:00-2:01

  • I see a like button but where is the LOVE button!!

  • fantastic!!! Bring back the days when Devils played music not just rhythm.

  • nobody plays the kickass mellophone part anymore:(((

  • 1:12 could melt butter

  • Bb horns are the most retarded thing to ever happen to DCI

  • We all have the fucking Cadets to thank for the Bb horns. I wish a few directors would admit to the truth that G horns are the only way to go for drum corps and go back!

  • 98 likes; 1 woodwind watched this vid and got penis envy.......

  • I kinda agree with the whole G horn thing. They def felt nice. But if this can't happen ever again, I think they should at least be playing Kanstul Mariachi horns on the feels. They sound scary close to a G Bugle on the field.

  • @Jonathan, I played lead sop in that line in 96, we were still playing G horns. I remember recording that in the parking lot like it was yesterday :-)

  • i love G horns. I miss soprano so damn much. I miss DCM the most actually haha

  • then i die.....

  • So warm. so in tune. Nice tone. What not to like?

  • Some fucker disliked this. I guess he loves a man not a woman.

  • fantastic horn part at 1:33

  • I cant stop listening to this!!! God the trumpet section is fantastic as well as the mellow section.

  • @avery424

No love for the contras? :P

  • Anyone know where I can get the sheet music for this?

  • A video with no dislikes, the way 75% of the videos on here should be -.-

  • @eXhAwST How COULD you dislike this?

  • @Breazeale93 theyre jealous

  • @FartsMcgee117 For real. I mean, it's so crazy how good this is.

  • @Breazeale93 Easy fro trolls

  • I need the notes for the trumpet part right now!

  • im glad that they play black music. i just wish they would play alot more black music. and if they ever do it'll be stuff like this

  • @TheDragonmaster18 your comment made me lol. and i agree...every drum corps should play more black music. its just perfect for each other...

    DCI+Black Music=♥

  • @dhsdrumr they are perfect for it but would like to see them play talking outside of your neck

  • @TheDragonmaster18 The Compton Black Devils!

  • good day everyone . .

where I can find the music sheet of these music ? . . .

Can anyone send me the music arrangement of this ? . .

this is my email : jessecastro06@yahoo.com

    thanks in advance

  • I believe this was a recording from 2003, meaning Bb horns were used not G so yeaha...

  • @jonathancraik14 This is definitely using Gs. listen to the pap they are churning out in the 2009 version of this. This is so much better and sounds completely different.

  • @rob33cherry

this is 100% a Bb hornline. Learn your shit fool

  • @jonathancraik14 wrong. use your ears. listen to this then listen to the 2009 version.

  • @rob33cherry This was seriously recorded on Bb horns with the 2003 hornline with Scott Dean playing lead. Trust me. Unlike you, I am never wrong. Anyone with half a brain can listen to this and know they didn't use G's. Yes 2009 sounds different but that's because the arrangement itself was different. Learn your crap before you go trolling.

  • Phantom Regiment and the Blue Devils each have the passion of Drum Corps. That is why no matter where they go it's like family to them. You can just feel the sensation in thier music. Phantom Regiment and the Blue Devils have the best horn lines in the world!

  • @DCBDlife they did this in 92 while still on the G bugles and again in 09.

  • in 09 they played this as part of their encore.

  • i wonder if there is sheet music anywhere for this?????????

  • This is my life song

  • 最高!!

    ブルーが一番w

  • sorry i forgot, what year was this show? 92 or 95?

  • @DCBDlife I think this was last year, but i'm not sure, i'm Crossmen lol

  • 1:27 oh my gawd

  • I have a dream where Bill Gates grants DCI about a billion dollars to go back and STAY on G horns! ... Yes, it's a wet dream. :)

  • It not the pipes it the plumbers. They no longer teach people how to shear the bell off with their chops.

  • @sonofjabba ... Nope. It's the horns and the "bandification" of DCI. Might as well go see a Bands of America finals show.

  • @MarineBugler I agree this, was so much better when they played this balls to the wall in 92. Their 92 show is one of my favorites, and that's saying a lot seeing as I'm an SCV guy lol.

  • @MarineBugler You sir have just summarized what every single member, fan and associate have always wanted!

  • @MarineBugler DCI doesn't need anymore money :P that's why there aren't as many corps don't exist anymore because of the costs lol. BUT I WOULD LOVE THIS TOO! :) that would be awesome :D

  • Woot!!! G bugle Represent!!!

  • Hey Worm,

thanks for putting all these great vids up here. Have you checked out the bopster? I put that up.....

Blue Devils Bopster 91. Can you link it to your page?

BTW this isnt 92....sounds like it. I have a recording Ill put that we did at pavillion with Steve Houghton (Bob Curnow Big Band) on Kit. We also played Dave Weckl's festival de ritmo. You can tell it's not 1992 because we didnt learn that ending until we were on tour. The original ending had the right idea but needed refining.

  • yes please and thank you

  • Can I have the mp3 version?

  • type down youtube downloader on google and you can download this video and put it on your ipod. no freaking joke

  • This is the 1992 version, G HORNS!!!!

  • Nope. This isnt 92'. This is a studio recording done sometime after 2000 I think.. We never did one in 92' although I wished we had.

  • btw. Still awesome!

  • Correction....... This recording was performed by the 1996 Blue Devils Hornline featuring Roger Carter on set. This performance was on G Bugles and by 2000, BD was on Bb horns. Trust me...I was there to experience the transition. Much respect to you and the original members that played this song.

  • Thanks man, I enjoy listening to it everytime its played. Now its goose bumps on this side of the horn if you know what I mean. Or as Jerry Seawright put it, "ducky bumps".

  • Sounds like the 1992 Blue Devils. The 2009 version sucked.....just compared the 2 drum corps.
