  • Good song , rick steals the show though.

  • darryl cotton ew

  • Show more Rick.....lol

  • This is so heavy and Rick was a good player......too bad decided 'fluff' was his genre.

  • So when did Rick Springfield turned into a sex symbol? LOOOOOOL He was very low profile in this band...

  • what a great piece of music!

  • OMG RRRRRRRRICK!!!!!!!

    hahaha.

    he's a great guitar player!

  • anyone else notice the beginning guitar riff sounds a hella lot like The Police's 'Roxanne'?

  • didnt really but that was realeased in 1978 from memory...

  • rick look good

  • damn shame that he had to go solo and give up playing lead guitar. When you are performing in concert it's hard to play lead guitar and sing so he holds a guitar and strums a few notes and performs on stage. Many fans will agree that he went the right direction. He was too big for Zoot. Still I say it's a damn shame he doesn't do more guitar lead solos in concert. He still plays most on the instruments in the studio.

  • On Rick Springfield and his style.

He's always, always had that hardrock side, which unfortunately has played second fiddle to the pop/bubblegum side. It's probably due to Rick being so pretty/babyfaced in the seventies..(which has been a blessing in disguise as he's gotten older, but that's another story...)

Sorry for the rant, but I always liked his hard rock/eclectic style.

  • The first eight measures of this tune have the same melody as Del Shannon's "Keep Searchin."

  • I think Rick is great here. He is as good guitar player as Eric Clapton or Bruce Springsteen, maybe better!

  • Lets not get carried away now people

  • lets not take it too far. He is talented I would agree but I am not sure he can ascent to the peak of Mt. Olympus and share the heights with Clapton.

  • @unamuno42

My friend, you should see him play Crossroads live and then we'll talk... ;)

  • @unamuno42 what are you smoking man?

  • Ya know, I've never actually really heard Zoot before. Never in a millions would you expect to find out Noah Drake himself, Rick Springfield would have been in a band playign this kind of stuff. This is much heavier than the music he became famous for in the 80's! Too bad The Zoot didn't breakthrough internationally. Might have been interesting to see how Rick's career would have evolved had they had been bigger.

  • Does anyone have "One times, Two times, three"?

  • That's a great B side!

  • cool shirt

  • Rick is better on his own... Still it shpws where he gpt started....

  • I strongly disagree.

  • wait, to my comment or the others, just curious

  • The comment that Rick Springfield is better on his own.

  • Kind of a strange song, in terms of arrangement

  • OMG! I never saw a clip of Rick in Zoot! Thank you so much for sharing this :)
