This was not a mistake, it was two deliberate handballs. I am a fan for the Ukrainian team and I was sad that they lost, Greece played better and that is it...there is always one loser. But this was truly a blatant hand, it is cheating and most probable the referee got paid very well for overlooking two handballs.

i believe that this match totally proves that the game should have video tecnology such as in rugby and other spots. i also believe that that the irish team did themselvess proud and that winning or losing, the whole country of ireland agrees that the irish team acted professionaly and with such passion that hasnt been seen in a long long time... beating france1-0 after 90 minutes in french soil is an achievement that no one can deny. :) come on ireland!

What is the fuss all about?

The referee comitted a mistake. Referees are not perfect. If all referee's wrongs are gonna cause a rematch, the games will never end. Anyway, the swedish referee did not whistle a penalty fault against Ireland a few minutes before Henry's hand. So, Why not restart the game since then, the referre calling penalty, France scoring and then resuming the game for the time remaining.

It's wasn't a penalty you mong, Anelka dived. Did you even watch the match? Given didn't even touch him. The handball was seen by everyone, including the Irish bench & yet THREE officials didn't see a thing. That's what the frigging fuss is about.

Its clear you are not a football fan. There was a gross injustice played out in that match. Henry SCOOPED the ball back into play with his hand after first controlling it, not to mention the DOUBLE off side moments beforehand with the asst. referee looking straight down the line so between them they missed four fouls one after the other, it's ok to be beaten but like that c'mon

The referee was not able to see it and the final result stands. Blatter and the Fifa can penalise Henry after the match, but the French will go to South Africa without a Replay-Game. So Michelle Platini should give the EURO 2016 to Ireland. As an exchange for this.
