Blacks and arabs are less intellegent because they weren't culled-out in the last ice age as whites and east asians were. If you were in the northern hemesphere, you had to be resourceful and intellegent to eat and procriate, while in the southern hemesphere it wasn't as difficult. Not a bad theory, huh ?

Yea, I like the concept of implicit associations a lot. I agree that many people are incredibly racist and hold deep prejudices without knowing it, but I'm sick of people distancing themselves from racism like so many critics of my videos do.

I'll be the first to admit I have snap judgments mainly against Black people, and it really only lasts for like a second or two until the Black person starts talking.

Thing is I can't make it go away, so I learn to consciously think against my own prejudices.

But the race differences in native intelligence are real, despite extensive overlap.

You have to address psychometrics! You have to address the "smart genes", you have to address adoption studies and the general successes and failures of the races throughout recent history.

If the races really were equal you would be right in bashing "race realism" and the Bell Curvers. But they are not equal, and the belief that they are equal is what leads to Blacks and Mexicans feeling cheated.

You talk about psychometrics, yet you fail to understand that I'm studying psychology in graduate school! Yes, people's genes play a role in determining intelligence, but the genes are NOT correlated to race because race is NOT a biological reality. Research in mtDNA has mapped out that our phenotypical characteristics may be Mendelian. But complex characteristics like intelligence, athletic ability, and musical ability, cannot be simplified to that assumption.

WRONG! It already has been simplified, and I know correlation is not causation but the variations within a single gene correlate with 6.3 IQ points in the Black-White IQ gap.

And I say "intelligence" to really mean "how well someone would do on an IQ test if given an absolutely equal shot".

Did you actually look at the work on DTNBP1? The ENTIRE ARGUMENT is Mendelian!! It's about the distribution of uncommon alleles amongst self-identified races in the hapmap project!

I read the article. More importantly, I paid special attention to the methodology. Not only does this research not address other factors like SES, education levels, environmental factors that directly affect health, etc. Another case in point...the article doesn't define race or ethnicity and proceeds to use them interchangeably in the categorization of the subjects. Genetic pools may be similar within certain smaller regions, but that doesn't mean that these regions produce distinct races.

I've done a whole video series on this and simply saying "There ARE no race differences in intelligence" is like throwing a spitball at a bull. And saying the races are equal leads to racism, because the lower IQ races think they are being discriminated against, which is really a very small part of the picture.

Racism is also the preconceived notion that some race groups are superior than others. How does it make sense to say that treating people the same way and undoing century-old science is racism?

Tell me you can find someone's blood and then say what race they are. Tell me that. You can't figure out race by looking at genes, so how is the IQ-race correlation genetic?!

Centuries-old? The oldest stuff I use comes from the 80's. The theory is centuries old but Rushton showed that the correlation between the 3 racial groups between IQ an brain size is ~1. Individuals around .4. And this isn't pressed mustard seed either, it's MRI.

How easy it comes for so many to bash, and condescend on Mexicans today (by calling their country a "cesspool" "shit-hole" with complete disrespect) is a sign there are still solid traces of racism left in the population. The immigration debate has really given a platform for all previously latent, or passive racism to flare up on. In other words, of course there's still racism... More than many people think.
