this is just so unrealistic. Andie would of never cheated on Pacey in real life. She loved him to much. I understand why DC did it though. They were to strong of a couple to break up so they had to make something really bad like cheating happen. I am so glad they made Andie cheat on him though it would of been worse if it was the other way around.

i like how the writers couldn't come up with a logical way to break up andie/pacey so they just did a cop out with andie sleeping with some dude between season 2 and 3. one of the worst executed breakups of a major couple in a tv show. With joey/dawson everything was done so smoothly, their breakups, their post breakups, and moving on... with pacey/andie it was abrupt and came out of nowhere. I understand they wanted Joey/Pacey to be the predominant storyline for S3 but still. Poorly done.

@willferrelsux I'm with you on that. I honestly don't believe that Andie would've ever cheated on Pacey in real life. Plus Andie gave something to Pacey that Joey had struggled with throughout her relationship w/Pacey: self confidence. Everything that Pacey and Andie were was pure chemistry and had realistic dialogue. Joey/Pacey was all mushy mushy 'we're soulmates'. It got dull real quick.

this show was about punishing people who had sex. jen has sex a lot and dies, abby was loose and dies. dawson's mother has adultery and they divorce and the husband dies when she has a baby, andie sleeps with another guy and cannot be forgiven. the show is more about consequences than it is about redemption. i slightly more subtle form than the teen slasher flick where teens have sex and die.

Simple- they had to do anything necessary to squash them. At the time of this message there have been 22,547 who watched this video. I picked a P/J video, not the one with the most views but rather a random one, & not surprisingly that P/J video had 5 TIMES (113,252) the views So, if you're an executive at the WB do you want to air a show that makes $1,000 OR a show that makes $5,000 per night? The bottom line is that P/A didn't sell- I'd be happy to explain why but it'd take to much space.

@superwhit1331: Well, corporate meddling aside, the problem I found was a lack of momentum in S2. The tension in S1, Dawson and Joey "will they-won't they", was missing in S2 and everyone was going all lovey dovey with couples and settling down which, in turn, was getting boring so, ultimately, they needed to axe the cast and cause conflict. (Poor MM!) Funny, they could have had Dawson and Joey go on haitus to Paris and I would have still watched Season 2 because of Pacey and Andie

Charleesangel didn't change the song, the studio didn't have enough money to have the songs on the DVD set so they changed the songs. The orginial song was Paper Cup by Heather Nova.
