  • Horsetail also works great for hair and nails.

  • Urine therapy... believe it or not, works wonders for tightening the skin.

  • HELP! I tried to change my diet to be more healthy. I cut out milk, meat and Bread and ate more vegetables (although I already ate a lot ) 5 days later I got Thrush in my mouth! what foods are good to eat to keep from getting it or to help get rid of it.

  • @poojkhgf

Sounds like you got an over growth of Candida. You should look into how to alkalinize your body. You can start with adding a pinch of baking soda to your water. Thrush is Candida and it means that your body has become overly acidic. You really should look into how to alkalinize your body that will eliminate the Thrush/Candida.

  • @jackseve I'm a bit worried abt taking baking soda, I tried a teaspoon in a glass once and got a sudden headache - I wouldn't want to exchange candida for highblood pressure!

  • body flex is awesome especially to target the face

  • @fonduemonkey what is body flex? This is all new to me?

  • I ran out of horses at the ranch. My dad is super mad at me. Can you order the tails off a website or something?

  • Fresh basil tea! Excellent for that youthful, glowing, smooth skin.

  • @themoviebuff101 Yes, and especially when it is sun-brewed. Or moon-brewed.

  • boy u look a bit like TOBY keith - a very think Version HAHAH

  • I recently read that one should be careful with taking MSM suppliments depending on what they are made from but most come from the ocean and there may be a mercury problem....do you or anyone here know about this issue.....

  • I tried honey and maple syrup with water for biking... The honey water makes me want to puke after a while... I recommend the maple syrup... Never got that pukey feeling from it...

  • @Catapult903 I seriously wouldn't recommend drinking honey water or maple syrup water.

  • Um, is that the end of your statement to me? haha... Why should I listen to you and what do you know about it? That would help your case if you have one.

  • smoking cigarettes is really supposed to firm up those eyes.

  • Please don't do the "Hot-Cold" routine if you have Rosacea. It will make your condition worse.

  • Hi, I've found the derma-roller to work great on skin (harder to do on large areas but OK for face), and I use it everyday. Not nutrition, but builds collagen nonetheless.

I highly recommend them. Amazon sells generic versions fir $30/each. I got to 1.5mm and the .5mm.

Check out reviews here on the 'Tube.

  • What causes dark circles under the eyes on an entirely raw food diet? I don't consume agave, honey, molasses or any syrup-sugars or powder-sugars because I have negative reactions to them, so I know that isn't it. I limit how many nuts I eat because heavy-nut meals seem to leave me tired. I mostly eat a lot of baby greens, salted raw green olives here and there, desserts I make from coconut shreds, figs, coconut oil, apples, bananas, raw cocoa... What's could the circles be from?

  • @artzphoenix I am no expert but ppl I know who have had dark circles were either anemic (iron deficient,) or vitamin B12 deficient.

  • @i get dark circles under eyes if i sleep too little, and esp if i am dehydrated.

  • so, why would someone go off fruit? I am a woman working to clear weight and candida any smoothie suggestions?

  • @topgoduni stick to low-glycemic fruits? esp apples. also some root vegs are not that good for ppl with candida, such as carrots, beets and potatoes (altho, they are amazing to juice the skin)

  • You guys are the best testimony for a healthy life style! U guys look great.....

  • How do I reply to people in here?

  • i play a lot of basketball and i drink plain water so will putting a lil sea salt in my water help restore electrolytes in my body

  • We will see when you are 45 dude. No smoking, drinking or excessive sun-exposure keeps the skin supple but the fact is that RAW VEGAN diets and inadequate protein intake in the diet cause the skin to turn translucent. I have seen people who are life-long vegetarians and you can literally see through their skin and that is NOT healthy. Being young is the best defense to aging skin, but then no one has that cure, eh?!

  • @bluekarma Yes, you are correct. We need some animal fat, preferably raw.

  • @tapetumxlucidum

WRONG! Check out (also): "Frédéric Patenaude - The Raw Secrets (2006)". There are some great texts in German, but I'm assuming you can't read German.

  • @bluekarma I dont mean to be rude, but are you taking the fucking piss? Vegetarians, on the whole, are smart healthy people who understand nutrition. They are not eating meat because they are emotionally conscious, not health conscious. If you were became a veggie because of health reasons you wouldnt stay a veggie for long now would you.

  • @PaulsBeesInTrees The majority of the RAW or RAW Vegans that I know personally, only one of them prefers not to eat meat due to emotional conscious. What you are saying is complete crap. Studies have been proven that eating meat/dairy/poultry products have and can lead to different types of cancer. If you have time, or actually care about this matter, you should watch the DVD "Food Inc."

  • @bunnybootgurl88 Wtf seriously, then they arent vegans. No, its complete fact, the reason people become vegetarians and vegans is because they dont agree morally with eating animals FACT! It is the healthiest thing but I think the majority of people who dont eat meat wouldnt care either way.

But I agree with you, eating meat/meat products do lead to weight gain, tonnes of health complications and different types of mahor illnesses.

  • Kevin! You are so awesome! What do you think about cell food? This is one of the few supplements that actually gives me energy.

  • Hi there, thank you very much for these great videos. I would love to be do raw eating and tried it yesterday and today. Both days right around noon my stomach stared grumbling and I stared feeling really tired. I drank carrot juice and about ½ pounds of fresh organic figs but that didn’t do it. I was at work so I had to have a sandwich to be able to go on. Do you have any suggestions? What did I do wrong?

  • @ellie3637 hi i am just guessing here but i would suggest too high gi content - both the carrots and the figs would tire me out immediately due to the hi GI - if i was you I would try lowest GI possible maybe a tomato tops and centre what you eat on leaves

  • @ellie3637 You need more protein intake. Especially when raw. You need to consume more nuts, seeds, hemp protein, or other raw protein sources. That is the only energy source that is long lasting aside from healthy fats like coconut oil.

  • where do i ask a question? here?

  • i really enjoy watching you both work together!! your videos are very educational and fun to watch. you have such amazeing energy which is what i really enjoy myself from juiceing green veggies every other day since i have 5 cats and 4 kids the youngest being 2 i do not really have the time to do it every day. thank you for your videos and for being good examples of people that act and look like they are full of life as a result of making good food choices and not like night of the living dead.

  • What? If you leave the minerals from a green juice on your teeth, it causes transparency? Is that we he said? My teeth are kinda transparent around the edges, I wonder if this was the problem.

  • @notevenhere he means from the fruit sugar not the greens.

  • massaging skin is very effective, brushing with hot towel, excercising.

  • AwwwJonny five

  • for skin tightening I wash my face with baking soda and tone with apple vinegar and then moisture with coconut oil.! It is miraculous!

  • @stellaray How do you do that, at what time, and how often?. I did it last night (I guessed how to do it), it felt great, my skin is very soft!!. Thanks for the tip.

  • What do you put in a green juice? I'm Vegan but I've never made one before (I went Vegan for the animals, now getting into the health aspect). Looking for someone to turn me on to green juice 101.

  • @poisonthesink wheatgress, sprouts, wild weeds are insanely powerful, check out sproutman(steve merowitz), ann wigmore, brian clement, life regenerator, my fav celery sprouts(wheatgrass, pea green),apple ginger, hope this helps

  • I just started drinking green smoothies and saw you mentioned some cons to your previous regimen. You mentioned chewing so i'm wondering about wha tyou were doing. Can you tell me what you put in yours or what I might avoid to not be faced with that? Right now I'm putting banana, kale, spinach, apple and fruit juice and feeling great!

  • Johnny-Five? From Short Circuit?

  • In addition to avoiding the sun and protecting my skin from the sun, I use a toner that has the Coenzyme Q10 in it.

  • So, you two live in a RV and travel around?

  • I've heard tomatoes have something in them that helps your skin to be protected against the sun, which would of course help in protection against wrinkles, etc.

  • What's the dif between a green smoothie and a green juice?

  • @lazur1 A green smoothie is a smoothie, nd a green juice has been juiced, (by a juicer so its a liquid). lol

  • @lazur1 juice has no fiber so i gets to your blood stream so thats good. smoothies have the entire fruit or vegetables therefore it has the fibers and thats good because it mitigates the amounts of sugar that enters the blood stream throught the digestion process.

  • @cuzifeelikeit So smoothies are exclusively made with 'whole juice',(whole fruit, blended with water to achieve a liquid)? No -juice- is ever in the recipe?

  • i've ate a pound of honey a week for the past 2 weeks and i look a lot more handsome in the morning if i dont say so myself. i feel its affecting my skin in a positive way, surprisingly because i wasnt expecting it.

  • You forgot to mention eating seafood! Very good for your health and for your skin.

  • consuming vitamin C doesn't have much of an effect on collagen in the skin. BUT topical application does...so, vitamin C should be applied as a serum on the skin for maximum effectiveness

  • What are 'green juices', Kevin?

  • @ccrich100 Juicing the vegetables in a juicer!

  • @Lesbiana31 Don't be mad at me for saying it, but I really like your name ;)

  • @ccrich100 And like yours too!:)

  • @Lesbiana31 mmmmm......

  • For me just eating a really good raw food diet with alot of liquids. The best oil for my face is my natural sebum, in the morning my face is glowing but Ive found that when I rinse my face with warm water my skin drys so to help with this problem I dont use soap or cleanser on my skin, I rinse my skin at night and drink plenty of fluid before bed and wipe around my eyes mouth etc.. with cool water in the am

  • I got a natural remedy that works for you. At night, mash up an avocado and put it on your face like a mask. Let it dry before you wash it off. Avocado's are sooooo good for softer skin. Second, don't forget to eat your seafood!

  • if you new you would cross the line why whould you go there!

  • I drink 2-3 liters of green juice throughout the day. And that helps me keep tight.

  • Vitamin C, extra virgin organic coconut oil, and LOTS of walking works for me! :-)

For tightening the skin, mix the following:

    1/2 fresh lemon juice

    3 Tb plain yogurt

When dry, rinse off with tepid water and Viola!

  • MSM lotion....if you can find it. Stuff is amazing for shrinking scar tissue and skin. We use it with the MSM pills too.

  • that's enough green drinks then. LOL :)

  • camu camu berry powder

  • Use a body brush on your entire skin before you shower; then in the shower do a hot shower then cold.

  • Sangre de Drago aka Croton Lechleri from the Rain Forest has an alkaloid called Taspine which is being shown to facilitate migration of the fibroblast cells responsible for collagen and elastin.

the tree resin also is 90% OPC's (proanthacyanidin) making it the highest antioxidant on the planet. 5-7 drops 2x daily and if in the Amazon i recommend bathing in it!

  • Agree with 808jgirl.

I notice the very next day when I have -

Cantaloupe in the evening - Carrot spinach smoothies - Wheatgrass daily

Lots of A's & B's anyway you can

  • Tight skin = Vit A/beta carotene, dude. Thank you Vogue mag. skin articles, haha!

  • hehe 4:12, play over and over again.

  • lol

  • hehe.. bing!

  • what is your take on active H?

Active H's antioxidant capacity is equal to 10,000 glasses of organic fresh orange juice or 2.5 kilos of ascorbic acid or 2,000 capsules of grape seed extract or 1,000 capsules of pycnogenol . Wow!

please could you gibe your take on this, its being promoted alot in the uk.

  • ehhhh... that allot to keep in my head. thnx for the info broski!

  • Holy shit, you're going to live forever if you keep this up...

  • Organic Virgin Coconut Oil...is wonderful for your skin. I use it everyday.

  • i've suffered dry skin for some winters since my pregnancies, what help is huge amount of omega 3 oil of different sources. hemp, flax, chia, fish oil, cod liver oil. i started green smoothies a while ago, no fruits in them tho, and i spice them up like bloody Caesar... i like em spicy hot. and i build myself an infrared sauna last year. i tried many topic things over the year, no success, what help most topically, is, i stopped using soap on my face, just water

  • What does MRSA mean to you in relationship to the health of skin?

    Bacteria

    immune system

  • If your teeth are already somewhat transparent, is there anything that will make them opaque again?

  • Think thoughts of health and well being; of optimal functioning, peak performing cells; vibrant, radiant health; firm, fit, toned, perfectly hydrated, smoothe, clear, flawless skin. Then follow your own (not anyone else's) inner guidance about what to eat, drink and do. No one else knows what you know about you. You know what is best for you. Allow your innate well being to flow. It's that simple. Choose where you focus your attention. Make yourself your priority. Cheers!.

  • Now that I'm at my highest weight, my facial skin has ballooned.... It would be wonderful if you could find a book Adrian Arpel wrote in the 70s about natural skin remedies. I had it when I live in NYC, but things get lost when one moves and travels. My skin looked pretty good then at 24; hey, you weren't even born yet!

  • Water water water is great for the skin! Dehydration is a cause of wrinkles.

Zinc is also great for the skin. I used to take zinc supplements (before I decided to ditch them in favour of more fruit and greens), my skin became amazing. Loads of people commented on how good my skin looked. I was very touched, considering I had very bad acne right into my adulthood.

  • you are so right about the green juice. my husband loves it and now has to have it every morning.

    great vid!

  • Hey, which green juice are you referring to?

  • i make a green juice for my husband. i juice about 50/50 fruits and veggies. the veggies are green veggies, like celery and parsley.

  • A nice steam facial followed by a great clay mask :-) Mmmm.....

  • D you eat seaweeds? And what are the best ones to buy? Finally where would I buy them?

  • cat litter makes a wonderful mud mask

  • I put Rosehip oil on my face almost everyday

  • Witch hazel infused with elderflowers as toner, cold pressed avocado oil or cacao butter for moisteriser, mud masks made of a good mineral clay or raw cacao powder mixed with tumeric.

Also, try magnesium oil (magnesium citrate mixed with water)

Green juices are ok, but the fibre from green smoothies is really important. You don't have to add fruit to green smoothies :-)

  • Fresh Aloe leaf!

  • I've never tightened up my skin, but just the other day I put kefir whey on it for enzymes. I try not to mess around with my skin all that much.

  • silica, manuka honey, magnesium, comfrey, enzymes, and infrared light therapy...

  • Having a garden FULL of comfrey, this intrigues me! Can you please comment on how you use this for your skin, please?

  • yes, you can make a paste or tea out of the comfrey plant and then rub it anywhere you want to make your tissue regenerate. The face, wounds, injuries, wrinkles, anywhere. Its very antiaging. So is all the other things i mentioned though, especially silica and manuka honey topically.

  • Thank you so, so much!! I already use the Raw (although not manuka these days) honey and the silica, but didn't know what to do with the Comfrey (except for bruising, works AMAZINGLY for that too!)

Thank you so much! I will give it a try!

  • A good mineral mud mask, cold water and sleep. Don't forget plenty of antioxident rich foods. People guess my age is 25. I'm 40.

  • west indies dont use olive oil !!! they fry it this originated from the greeks!!!!!!olive oil you should travel to greece and see salads and olive oil...

  • Hey Kevin,

I use homemade goat- milk soap, a facial toner that I made out of rosewater, witchhazel, aloe, tea tree and lavender essential oils. I use coconut oil as a moisterizer. I have three kids 19months, a child who will be 3 & a 4 year old and I am thirty and people don't belive my age!

  • Oooh, this is what my mom needs to hear.

  • Last winter I used to take accerola supplements and my skin looked better every day.& I was working 20h a day for weeks. Vitamin C is said to be the next botox ...

  • Young coconut water and raw honey is good enough as far as energy drinks go. If it's heavy endurance training you're doing, then just add in raw sugar cane juice.

  • kevin coconut oil is also really good for plumping up the skin and removing wrinkles and fine lines.. since ive been using it my skin already looks alot better and tighter. also aloe vera is excellent and i do take 2 tsp of swedish bitters everyday and also plenty of sleep is really important.. your face always looks best after a good nights sleep. also being conscious of how much u frown or smile can affect your skins wrinkle formation.. and the #1 thing for skin is WATER!

  • As a west indies descendant my grandparents are in they eighties but look like 68 year olds their secret is to excercise and use cold pressed extra virgin olive oil as a moisturizer
