Gees it couldn't have been the kid could it. I had a cat that had kittens and there is no way a kitten that small could have done that own it own. PEOPLE young kids don't realize that they can hurt something like a kitten. Kids are very dangerous to small animals and babies. Please don't get your child a pet until they are old enough to understand that they can hurt them.

Question, how did a new born that can't use its legs properly just manage to crawl its way into a kitchen pipe without being noticed? Sure it's small but I had two newborns myself and we made complete sure they remain in our small pet tent. It's not exactly difficult keeping an eye on them since they can't really get anywhere with their limbs not having much muscle in them to properly get anywhere. It would take them 10-15 minutes to get one end to the other at that age.
