What do you mean any device? Are you talking about the 3.0 software or the video? The video recording feature will be available only to the iPhone 3G S, but the 3.0 software will be available to all iPhones (free) and iPod Touches (with a fee).

Just WHY can't Apple make an iPod touch that has EVERYTHING the iPhone has BUT THE PHONE/SMS??!! I'm waiting for the public release, but STILL, isn't Apple dim-witted or something? 2. I don't have at&t - so is it worth it to get iphone (and at&t), or ipod touch? - will there be updates/new products for those 2 soon?

i can answer your second question. if you already have a phone and you like it then you should get an ipod touch but if you want and ipod and a phone combined together then you should get the iphone. but remember if you get the iphone they charge you for web and email use it is part of their data plan. hope that gave you some insight info

or you could get a touch, jailbreak, get tons of new features, and get 3.0 firmware free. Also if you got wifi, you can get a sip-voip account(also free) download fring(free in app store) and get free calls. So you got an "iphone" with no monthly bills, plus free apps and more features.

Also, I do have an app (in the making). I will have the beta version on my iPhone tomorrow, and we are planning on launching it sometime in April.

I'm glad to see this update...it's almost as if they're 'catching up' to many of the windows mobile PDAs. I thought it was so stupid that you could only text vertically and many of the higher end PDAs for WinMo could do both horizontal and vertical. I also cannot believe it took them this long to finally introduce MMS messaging to the Iphone. That's another common feature on many PDAs. Many new WinMo devices can transition from Landscape to Portrait on any screen, not just given screens.

Not really sure about the SDK on Vista ... I use a Mac. Also, I am not really sure about your app question.

There are a lot of "iphone app tutorials" on the internet right now.

Just search google for the phrase above, and you should be able to find an answer.

The only way you can complete your activation is to have an iPhone that is registered as a developer's phone.

The software will not be out for the iPod touch until this summer.

I really don't know how to undue what you did either. I would take it to an Apple store to see what they say.

the camera icon has always rotated, not only in 3.0.... you can also shake to shuffle in iPod, but i dont really like how it works, you need to shake REALLY hard for it to work...

The whole firmware is a little bit slower ... but remember, it is a 'beta' version.

I am pretty sure that Apple will have most of the kinks worked out by this summer.
