  • I missed seeing JPII in Chicago in 1979 by a few hours as I was returning from a European vacation. I was arriving at O'Hare airport as he was leaving .

  • I love John Paul ll, and I miss him so much. I really love being catholic, we have a global church, our own nation, and an army, the swiss guard. God sure has taken care of us, even if we have screwed up sometimes. God bless everyone.

  • @bratrat All the languages i gave founded he could speak fluenly: Polish (obviously), Greek, Italian, Russian, Spanish, English, French, German, Latin, Portuguese, Slovak, Ukrainian.

  • Pope John Paul II was the greatest Catholic leader who connected religions and people. He was not afraid to apologize for all the wrong catholics have done in the past. He was also a huge part responsible for defeating communism (spiritually and financially) in Poland, which encouraged other european countries to fight against communism (Soviet Union).
