I think you are right.I am from Crete and there is a war that takes place on the streets every day.That's why we have so many deaths in car crashes every year.It's sad but is true.Also many tourists -europeans mostly- killed or seriously injured every summer because they drink and drive.

Crete is a beautiful island and i think that we all (Cretans&Visitors)have to try for less blood on the streets.Thank you for visiting my country and forgive my awful english.

i gotta admit cretan drivers are completely crazy, they even drive on highways security lanes^^ and taxis have small screen tvs at behind the frontseats for the clients with porn movies on :D

Nice video, I was there with the US Army in '74, '75, and '76 at the missle range in Hania, I can still smell the great smells of food in the market place.
