Mr Maytag,is it true that rye wiskey is made with less sugar if no sugar at all,the reason I ask is that I love straight wiskey, but the sugar is bad for me,allmost diabetic, please let me know asap thank you for your product,wiskey1964
Short Beer: Take a large siffer full of bran hops to your taste-boil these 3 hours. Then strain our 30 gall[o]n into a cooler put in 3 gall[o]n molasses while the beer is scalding hot or rather draw the molasses into the cooler. Strain the beer on it while boiling hot, let this stand till it is little more than blood warm. Then put in a quart of ye[a]st if the weather is very cold cover it over with a blank[et]
A buddy of mine and I made George Washington's "Short Beer", which is what we imagined the revolutionary army drank as it created what would be the great American Experiment. We unleashed this beast upon an unsuspecting super bowl crowd. 99.9 percent of the brew ended up dumped in the gutter because it was AWFUL, but the experience, the history, and the camaraderie it helped build was priceless.
THANK YOU for your history lesson. This is something I have been interested in for quite a while.

I had been drinking, or trying to drink, Bud and Coor but I was having no enjoyment then someone gave me an Anchor Steam and my view of beer changed.
I look forward to trying your whiskey. Thank you for this informative video. To your health, and to everyone's health. Cheers.
