What's alarming is how many people cannot understand the figurative use of the term "SWAT Team." (And no, it's not a "SWOT" team, either. But it's not literally an armed police S.W.A.T. team). The Deputy Secretary of the Interior referred to his team of oil rig inspectors as a "SWAT Team" which the President later that day called "SWAT Teams." They're oil rig inspectors. They not going around carrying M15's.

Folks, the Dept of Interior is sending SWOT teams to evaluate the situation. Not SWAT. SWOT, according to their website, is the process of evaluating a situation according to one's Strengths & Weaknesses, and the Opportunities & Threats presented by that situation. SWAT is a police unit marked by their training and use of Special Weapons And Tactics. Big difference. We're sending evaluators to size up the situation, not cops to shoot people.
