Half of what she is saying (her Mother was not a Stage Mother? (WTF) and it was so easy for her to turn from child star to ingenue? When she was sleeping with the 40 yr old director, Nick Ray, of Rebel for months before he gave her the part...and he almost didn't give her the part? Plus the pscyho-Mom was pressuring her to the point of pressuring her 15 yr old to go to parties at Frank Sinatra (also a lover) instead of dating the 15yr old boy she loved, a sort of prostitution.
@tinkerbel256 , she was NOT drunk. All you have to do is look at her autopsy report to know that. She had alcohol in her system from social drinking earlier in the evening but was not drunk. And even if she was, that would not have changed her fear of water or the fact that she would NOT have tried to tie up the dingy alone at night. Don't go by Robert Wagner's many "versions" of events.
@Muirmaiden Did you know that her husband waited 14 hrs after he KNEW that she was missing to call the Coast Guard, & that people heard her yelling much earlier that evening?
Oh WOW!!This is a BRILLIANT documentary...and ahm loving the 50's 'style' of it as well!!And also...ah love the fact that Nat is actually participating in it,with the voice overs and the candid shots etc...how fantastic!!Ahv always loved Nat...her,herself...and the body of work that she accomplished as well!!How horribly ironic that the first scene of her working,is in the backlots tank though!!God...ah was so upset when we lost her..she relly was/IS a very special girl/woman!!Thank you 4 this!!
Wow! This is such a "studio " product...interesting to watch but so not true....at least if you read her bio. Her mother was an incredibly manipulative and strange woman who lived through Natalie's success and her father was a sad and abusive alcoholic.
Thanks for posting cause I am reading her bio and it is fascinating to watch this sugar coated "documentary"
It's so nice to see her at home talking with her family, because then you know she was actually a person. When I say a "person" I mean that she had a pretty good relationship with her family, and not just another hollywood star that just disses people off; even their family. I LOVE NATALIE WOOD!!!!!! Rest in Peace; Our Angel
Look at Natalie smoking and drinking a cup of coffee in the water! She even looks cute smoking a cig!

How did those parents make her?? Natalie and Lana are gorgeous, and the parents are really just average looking.
