Just want to point out the fact that Europe is still sitting here, on the other side of the Atlantic and we have a hybrid socialism/capitalist.
Works out better in my humble opinion, congratulations to the US for electing a man who acknowleges that the hybrid European platform is the best solution.
This is a note of support for an expansion of socialism and for Obama from this Brit.

Sarah Palin calls Obama a socialist, and McCain says Obama wants to redistribute the wealth, but Alaska's program of redistributing the wealth in oil profits is a perfect example of socialism. By giving the people of Alaska thousands of dollars every year in oil profits, this is socialism at its core and redistributing the wealth. I am not a fan of socialism, but I admit, I am jealous, I want thousands of dollars in oil money too. Maybe I should move to Alaska and help turn that state blue.

Why even bother mentioning something like that? Regardless of whether or not it's true, regardless of whether you don't like socialism, and regardless of whether capitalism can probably benefit from a socialist ideal or two, conservatives will brush off the hypocrisy and chalk up Palin's act as "shakin' up politics as usual, because she's such a maverick!"
