@wallytwit Using the radio control micro cars, we could only do 3 as that is the number of different frequencies they have. But agreed a melee would be interesting, and manic!
@Gavin17259 True but I'm scared what the result might be. You see we also made the real Heavyweight Lightning on the TV show, so I'm quite glad it managed to beat Chaos 2 at least here :-)
@Gavin17259 No, and we have the video on YouTube to prove it - search 'Lightning Chaos 2' and you should find it. We fought at a live event and Chaos 2 had the edge. We had more control but couldn't get the flipper into play - he just drove off. Also once we are flipped, the gas doesn't work properly. So we'd need to make a few changes before we could take him on. Chaos 2 was way ahead of its time. I've driven it too, and it has great control.
@aidan00ah Part 10 of this series will show you. They are 1/10th scale which is the same scale as the pull-back toys that used to be sold. The arena is 4 foot square to give you an idea as well.
@RobotwarsKing Well as the write-up says, it was a fair win before by Chaos 2, and we didn't want to fix anything. But we constructed the real 100kg heavyweight Lightning in the real show, so were very disappointed when the paper version lost out. So a grudge match seemed a good thing to try. That was our motivation.
Lightning could have won it showed. But then so could a few other ones too.
That's right but we do have a few micro cars that don't hold charge for long, so these are expendable. When we filmed Plunderbird we set fire to it with one of these. But it survived anyway.
During testing it actually flipped Lightning right out of the arena. It caught it on its side and went sideways over the edge but very high too. About 2 or 3 feet in the air!
This would be best if you had sereval playing at the same time robots that would be EPIC

You should do another grudge match so it's best 2 out of 3 to decide who is the best robot.

@Calvertfilm That's cool. Do you think your heavywieght Lightning would be able to beat the heavyweight Chaos 2?

WBC is one of our favs too but the wheels would be tricky. Compared to these shapes. One day perhaps.

Very nice! Too bad Chaos 2's flipper doesn't seem to work.

None of the weapons work. These robots are made of paper. Download details on part 10.
Also they only weight 25g and are stuck onto micro cars, so just simple little things really.
We made a metal one (tin foil) v a paper one yesterday, and the paper won.

I suppose one wouldn't want to damage the wheels that make them go would you?
