She is a great actress and i love her performance but she sold herself cheep and that was the only reason they asked her to play in the movie...why not iranian actors? Golzar, Radan and many other are much better than her!!!...she had a cheep dress which even people in small village in iran dont wear...she could be much smarter than she was...
of course it does not depend, i am a human being just like you.
are you ruling saudi arabia as representative of arabian countries? that would be so erroneous if u did.
about this iranian girl artist who was popular amongst many iranian people BECAUSE she was so "permitted" or had the free will and desire to come forward and progress thus far. for the respect of that system, for the least, she should have maintained a sense of loyalty and expose herself as such be wear modestly.
hejab is within innate nature of ANY decent human being. if u don't believe me, then tell me if u would like your sister/mother/wife/daughter to appear in public otherwise? your innate wisdom would spontaneously respond, "NO!".
hejab (covering and modest attire of women before public) is inherent in ALL religions.
in this so-called civilized society if a lady appears too exposed she would be subject to criminal and civil penalties. undoubtedly the IRI cinema has improved dramatically :):)

last but not the least, have you ever pondered how much advancement there has been, in particular cinema and theatre, under the islamic republic of iran or under the deposed shah who ran the country to depth of corruption?
Dear brainwashed sir we dont want 2 get in religion. We are talking about a beautiful Iranian actress who has played a roll in a recent hollywood movie. Hejab isnt for you or me to say a woman should wear. It is her business weather she does or not regardless of what religion. And for the record Hejab was important 1400 years ago when Arab men raped girls for fun, then barried them alive. She is Persian and not Arab. Go back 2 the Hoze your dad is teaching. Is it true they rape boys in Hoze?
we can maintain a sense of being civilized in our verbatim. can we not?
of course it is up to her to do whatever she wishes, this how the entire human race is created; a dual sense of willingness & capability to do right & to do wrong.
arabs did not rape the girls then they BURIED them because they had no sense of wisdom and knew nothing better. it was a shattering and blowing news when the prophet Mohammad told the heaven in underneath the feet of mothers!
Wow, Zionists, satanic acts!!!!! What are you people talking about? She is free to make her own choices and all she's talking about in this interview is the beauty of the middle east so I don't get why some of you feel so betrayed! If you ask me, she is pretty covered up not that it would be anybody else's business if she wasn't.
i Love Golshifte, i'm proud of her, and i understand what Roya is saying, yeah it;s her choice that how she wants to be...but i wish she would've just cover a little more, i'm sure that way people would've appretiate her more...:(..however..i like her very much...and i think she is very cuteeeeee

my wife wanted me to add these comments:
it is the islamic republic of iran who paved the way for her premises to grow and advance in becoming an actress. if she has any flourishing talents they all stem from that land, that culture and those people. she should maintain her sense of belonging and instead she portrays a sense of being lost from her SELF. now that she is apparently found a new SELF, it certainly does't belong to iran but to hollywood. fame's always deceiving & feeding zionists.
Islamic Republic is not the name of a country, land culture or people. It's just a 30 years old government that has already caused a lot of troubles for Golshifteh Farahani for playing in Hollywood.
Next time you wanted to name this country and it's people, say Iran and Iranians.
thank you for your comment, so i took it seriously and made some phone calls to UN and other world bodies. i found no country under that name or even @ the world map. EVERYWHERE it stated, "Islamic Republic of Iran". i am sure from your sense you do not like the current gov. nor am i in bed with them, but by popular referendum more than 95% (some say even 99%) FREELY and VOLUNTARILY voted for such a government, no doubt about her shortcomings, but the truth stands :)
That referendum is the only thing that makes me speechless. Though I have no doubt that if there will be a new referendum, the results will be different. The truth stands however, you are right. But the other side of the story is the growing number of people who do not verify and approve the current government and they are the ones who never get the chance to speak up. .
if are persian read the sentence below otherwise i make a literal translation:
my father used to say "کج بنشینیم، راست حرف بزنیم", "let's sit crooked but talk straight" hence, let us HONESTLY access those people's (mostly youngsters) disapproval and summarize it in just a few words. would u not say it all boils down to freedom of sex??? if you are a mature person and have kids, will you HONESTLY approve of your kids getting a spouse from this category of people??
Those people who are seeking freedom of sex, as you called it, are usually people who just curse the government without bringing any logical reason. But there are people who seek freedom in an other sense of meaning. Let's not talk too generally, one of them is freedom to practice your own religion/beliefs. If someone doesn't wear Islamic cloth, it doesn't mean she is selling her soul, betraying any beliefs or anything like that.
as answered @ another reply, the core message of islam is nothing more/less but freedom of speech, for which our 3rd imam was martyred. if in ANY islmaic country this act isn't IMPLEMENTED, according to my videos, they are committing acts of YAZIDI/SATANIC. mind you, this doesn't apply to only islamic countries. for the person who throws bombs at the abortion clinics, in my opinion, s/he's engaging in acts of satan/yazid. if GOD wanted us to obey him unconditionally her COULD have well done so:)

The target victims don't have to come from a moslem country in this agenda.
the other side of the spectrum their nude pictures end up in various filthy magazines or sites. the zionists do this to even jewish ladies, so the attack & the agenda is the worldwide oppression of women via any means, method, enticement. The most effective means has historically been money, then fame, then politics, etc. they are all VIVID examples of SATANIC acts.
one the most damaging acts of YAZIDI, zionists do is to undermine seemingly beautiful young ladies so that they'd expose their bodies. at the beginning level they entice them to remove their hejab/or even simple modest covering (no matter from what country & there is no sense of religiosity in their agenda.

Nice Actress, Nice Speech!
ولی امیدوارم نه تنها در هالیوود بازی کند، به بازی در فیلمهای فارسی-زبان هم ادامه بدهد. چون واقعا حیف است!

sarakhanuum i see where your comming from, but at the same you need to realise that she is a very talented lady and that it would have been so unfortunate if her talent only stayed inside iran and was not recognised elsewhere. Iam so happy that the west have recognised her potentials and now appreciate her talent. Now she will be able to achieve much greater roles and take her career to a new level :) She makes iranians proud and is a rolemodel to iranian women and oppressed youth of iran

upuup - because they don't want women for cinema/science/govenmet... they want them to warm up their blanket/bedroom. they are afraid of others to follow her way.

Are they going to allow her to continue her acting in iran?!
EBLIS94 3 years ago
she has moved to live in the us all together! and before that she lived in france with her husband but only acted in iran because she did not have the opportunity to act anywhere else! so i guess no, she wont act in iran again!
ellykhoshkele 3 years ago
is it that she lived in france before and then moved to iran or that her husband lived in france and she acted in iran temporarily...
EBLIS94 3 years ago
no no she had moved to france with her husband and then would come to iran and act! so her home was in france! but she could only act in iran because outside no one knew her! and now she has moved to USA with her husband!
