the main reason people dont like trapping is because they don't understand how an animal is going to die in the wild. I personally would rather get caught in a conibear or drown than i would like to get eaten alive or starve. Animals victim to traps have much more pleasant deaths than those that don't. I understand what your trying to say, but trapping is a way of life. Also most traps kill animals allot faster than 3 to 8 minutes, usually a matter of seconds. Even if it did take 3 to 8 minutes, mass producing farms keep animals locked up for years.

I bet you guys took the temper out of those traps. A common trick used by the anti fur people. They put a torch on the spring and then set it out and film animals suffering in their sabotaged traps. The trap doesn`t have enough spring in it when the animals trips it. the sabotaged trap will not kill when triggered . the non-tampered trap kills very quickly. Nice try and lame conn job.

The 3 to 8 minute figure seems inflated. But even so, it's much more humane than letting those animals slowly starve over the next 3 months. In my state the furbearer populations are controlled one way or another. Either hunters and trappers control the populations and utilize the animal, or the lack of sufficient habitat due to urban sprawl controls the populations. It's not a coincidence that when humans intervene and manage the animals, it's more humane and makes use of the animal.

a lot of people don't understand the importance of trapping, hunting, and other recreational activities. trapping and hunting help a great deal keeping animal population under control. if an animals population gets out of control they will slowly but for sure run out of food and either have to leave the area or die. i personally hunt and trap and this video shows the miss use of traps. if a connibear or snare is set and placed correctly it will kill fast and eficiently with no pain or suffering.

Alright first off, the very first conibear trap shown was obviously tamperd with because that beaver was wiggling its way free and was almost out when the footage just stopped. Second Beavers and Otters DONT drown. thats right, beavers and otters dont drown. they cannot open their nostrils or lips under water and they simply get knocked out. it is painless and when they die they dont feel a thing. we sell thier pelts and hell i give the animals more respect than my sister.

I believe that the connibear traps used in this propaganda video have had their springs weakened to prolong the suffering of the animals shown. A properly functioning connibear trap will kill an animal nearly instantly. That's what they are designed to do, much like an over-sized rat trap.

They only connect negative scent with a negative experience. You can catch a fox with a #220 conibear and a hot dog on the trigger. You don't need a waxed trap if you set up in vermiculite, or peat with antifreeze, put in a plastic bag, waxed dirt, wrap in wax paper, make a straw set, etc. Google. The info is out there.
