Fascinating....The rats are now becoming aware that they are simply test subjects and they have become aware of the cage they can never escape from...It took you long enough...and if history is true to its repetitiousness, then this knowledge will not be a game changer....Once you escape from the box we have created to contain you, you will only find that you are in another box inside of another still...I think its time that we put an end to this destructive conflict...Obey your masters.
but he does back it up with a lot of facts. look at the people he's interviewing... CIA analysts, leader of the Afghan resistance, jason Burke who is the s asia correspondant to the guardian and wrote probably the definitive book about alqaeda, the guy who sold stinger missiles to the afghans, interviews with the neo cons themselves... he formed his narrative through a lot of evidence. his documentaries are really well researched.
Ive watched this whole series and its dead on accurate. The whole "terrorist" thing is all bullshit. Usama was killed by a seal team - yeah whatever. Total bullshit from start to finish. Usama Bin Laden has been dead and most likely the face that we see on tv is not even real. Its more like Al-CIA-da not Alqueda. Anything for a buck right? 'Coz thats what this is really about - stealing our tax dollars.
But it is true that radical muslims are mandated to kill all infidels who refuse to convert. Check out the youtube video: "There is No Radical or Moderate Islam, Only Islam"
@Magyar487 Could you please tell me where you got that piece of information from? I am a Muslim and I can tell you that Muslims are absolutely NOT "mandated to kill all infidels who refuse to convert". Please, do a little research before you start spewing misleading information.
excellent video... REAL verifiable FACTS...not fiction or IMAGINARY or even Theory!! everyting in this video can be verifed by research... but most will choose to ignore and be lazy...and thats why they deserve to be sheeple. Anyone that assumes and dismiss is in trouble already! think outside the box and explore your curiousities
@VoxUrbana that's the strength of Adam Curtis. he exposes the the fact that there is no conspiracy... it's all out in the open, if you can be bothered to look. his latest series is just as good. check it out if you haven't already.
it would be good if they made a follow up to these, to deal with more recent events. link this film with the fact that the US needs to make sure oil is sold in $ not euros or yen etc and you have a winning combination. the US makes dollars, the oil money goes thru US banks = the US gov gets rich = big military = control. thats the true reason for iraq and afghanistan, its not just oil. sadam went to the world bank and asked to sell oil in euros - then he hanged. iran has done the same.
@coloradovoter1 He didn't say American Conservatives -- he said NEOconservatives, who have isolated, duped and nullified True American Conservatives. My Dad and Dwight Eisenhower would be considered pinko liberals by today's GOPee Ayn-Rand-Elitist, MegaCorporatist, Bankster, NeoCon-deceived-and-bribed leadership.
I went back and listened again, you are correct, he does say neo conservative.
No one has duped American Conservatives, just because we will not vote for an idiot like Obama does not mean we accept what the Rockefeller Republicans called neocons are doing either.
(cont)..Another lesser-known example of this is the P2 Lodge movement in Europe.Whole groups of Nazi resistance fighters were not only allowed to continue but also funded as a bulwark against any Communist takeover of central Europe running smoothly. These groups became a royal pain in the ass (Mujahadin anyone?) but could no longer be contained. So we now find ourselves in a rather ugly hole. However,if the UK press likes it,then generally this means that its not good for us,the people.
I think there is a degree of Thesis/ Antithesis/ Synthesis involved here. The people who come up with these policies dont just toss a coin, they have researchers and theoreticians to ''do the math'' and therefore will be fully aware that a very likely ''blowback'' outcome will be that the groups they encourage wont just lay down and be quiet-why would they,if they have not achieved the goals that they are prepared to lay down thier lives for. (cont)
If you believe that governments rule the world, then this is impressive - but they don't. Governments are nothing but puppets of the real elite, who run the trade of the world and control most of its assets - which includes you and me.
the purpose of this documentary was to show how the foreign policies of our governments in the modern era are motivated by conspiracy theories on the part of foreign policy makers, hysteria and the narcissism of the neoconservatives and their equivalent ideologues, and how this irrationality is perpetuated by it's reflection in society. If watching this merely provided you with an adjuvant to your conspiricist worldview you failed to recognize the salient exposé of this whole documentary series.
@13vafanculo good call! i second that, 2 British Broadsheets labelled this documentary as the second best piece of tv in the world of the last decade....
@Reqrezentin Well, you fuck, it's anti-semetic because it's goal is to pretend the anti-semitic threat doesn't exist. Watch this documentary and you'll be spoon fed a load of conspiracy bullshit that equates terrorism with the defense from terrorism, threat with defense. The ultimate goal is to expose the West, and in particular, the Israelites, to further existential threat, and to deny that threat is to work actively toward the goal of realizing it.
@Christobanistan why do we argue these trivial matters instead of uniting against the 1 thing we all agree on, that the government is corrupt beyond repair and must be brought down in a tide of retribution using the might of us'"the people"
@Christobanistan you're ignoring the fact that the "war on terror" is spreading terrorism, and that proponents of it - ake Israel - cause much more death and devastation to innocent people than Hamas. The anti-semitic threat very much does exist, no one is denying that, but it is exaggerated and reinforced by the so-called war on terror. Collective punishment against Palestine makes Hamas stronger, not weaker, which Israel (like the US with Al Qaeda) doesn't seem to mind.
@mustachecrossing "you're ignoring the fact that the "war on terror" is spreading terrorism." So what would your response to terrorism be? To bend over and say, "please, sir, may I have some more?" Of course we have to fight it. And you'll notice the latest U.N. statistics say the total level of terrorism in the world has fallen to an all-time low, despite the focus the press has put on it in the last decade.
And I challenge you to back up that ridiculous assertion about Israel vs. Hamas.
@Christobanistan Hamas has killed approximately 500 people since 1993, Israel killed that many civilians in the 2008-9 war on gaza alone, by conservative estimates. Not to mention illegally using white phosphorous as a weapon, and intentionally targetting hospitals and international media. Show me the UN study
@Christobanistan The best way to fight terrorism would have been to never interfere with those countries in the first place, but it's too late for that. If you want to fix it you have to consider what its causes are, which I believe are a combination of ignorance, reactionism, religious fundamentalism (which goes hand-in-hand with ignorance), extreme poverty and constant agitation from the west. The best way to fight it is to stop killing civilians and promote education and humanitarianism. Duh.
@mustachecrossing "The best way to fight terrorism would have been to never interfere with those countries in the first place"
You mean like helping the Afghans turn back the tide against the Soviets who were killing thousands of them every day? Or the several places over the last 20 years where we have intervened to stop the slaughter of muslims?
You are just another anti-semitic, wild-eyed muslim fool.
@Christobanistan Would you just settle down and stop calling everyone who disagrees with you an anti-semite? The point is that no one should commit war crimes, especially if you want peace against terrorists. Maybe sticking around to help them rebuild after they fought for us, like we promised. Or never installing the Shah in Iran.Or providing weapons to Israel, or supporting Hussein in the 80's.
@Christobanistan But you are an anti-semite. Not gonna ignore that one.
Please point out these war crimes.
Sure, it would have been wise to 'stick around' to help rebuild Afghanistan after the Soviets destroyed it, though I'm not sure how that earns us their ire, after all WE are the ones who SAVED them.
As for the Shah, learn your history. The zealots were trying themselves to take over the country at the time; the CIA only made that move as a stopgap to prevent their takeover.
@Christobanistan And supporting Hussein in the 80s was no great act of evil, either, considering they were at war with an enemy that had sworn to destroy us, an enemy that has turned out to be far worse (as the CIA predicted) than the Shah ever was. When he turned against his people, we turned against him.
Of course you would point out supporting Israel, the only democracy in a sea of serpents in it's fight to survive the virulently anti-semetic Arab onslaught, anti-semite.
@Christobanistan Arabs are semites you moron,.How can they be anti-semitic? And Israel is not a democracy -- it is an apartheid state. Your perception of the middle east is almost AMERICAN in its stupendous ignorance. I suspect you may be one. Go to the middle east. Wealthy people in Europe often go there to winter.. or to shop, or just to take a break . There are many many nice places there. a good deal nicer than Israel. Sure, Palestine is a shithole... But whose fault is that? ... IDIOT.
@rlinfinity Of course I meant Jews. Don't play semantics. And yes, Israel is a democracy, even if part of the population is ruled by monsters that constantly try to kill their civilians. THE PALISTINIANS, NOT ISRAEL, wanted the segregation, wanted constant war, wanted to rule themselves. Well, now they got it.
Palestine IS a shithole, probably because Palestinians run it.
@Christobanistan That's absolutely ridiculous, and your bias is showing, but then anti-semetism is easy to spot.
I wonder, did you count those thousands killed by Hamas for dancing at weddings? I bet you didn't.
And I wonder, did you count the thousands killed by Israelis during the course of trying to defend itself against constant Hamas attacks against its civilians? I bet you did.
The point in this doc, and I agree, is that al Qaeda (al Qaida) is not an organization, but small groups of militant extremists with little relation or none to one another (even ideologically they hate one another. They aren't called extremists for nothin').
Remember, 9/11 was a horrible crime using nothing more than box-knives. Ask yourself, is the Western response to 9/11 a measured one?
Its not new to promise to protect from nightmares rather than offer a vision of the future: We painted the Soviet Union as an uber-enemy despite the fact that they wouldnt attack.
Notably Britain gave its people the NHS to stop them having a revolution and go Communist. Of course, now the Soviet union has fallen, NHS money is used to pay private medical practice & the NHS will soon be disbanded - meanwhile americans are getting their own NHS to compensate them for the crisis.
face it American Democracy is Capitalism in disguise... The world cant go on with capitalism... Capitalism turns people, companies and groups against eachother to get better.. no one will do less... the resources are shared.. no one capitalist group will cut down on that... (example)
When I think about just the fact, that in both attacks in New York and London, they were running drills, and had responders in place to take control of the situation, & impress the public with rapid government response, information gathering, & "solving the mystery" of these attacks, I realize that our governments been taken over by evil, godless, killers, who are ether fools, or think we all are!
@tohidefromourways-disinformation-false information deliberately and often covertly spread (as by the planting of rumors) in order to influence public opinion or obscure the truth. misinformation-to give false or misleading information to. please explain the difference to us fifth graders. thanks in advance, peace and love unto you.
that's right! cause the terrorists are lurking among the shadows, ready to pounce on americans! in fact, the bogeyman is hiding in your closet at this very minute! hsahahhahahahahha
@wolfgang0070 I'm afraid you're swallowing too much koolaid. They brainwashed people into attacking lawyers which protect us from them, to attack unions which gave us that great lifestyle we so enjoyed in the 50's, -70's. You wouldn't want to have the 5 week paid vacation required by law in several successful European countries or be ensured free or low cost quality health care and free education when you find yourself in need of a change of career. You are either a fool or ultra rich.
@wolfgang0070 Not true at all. People are naturally creative and would create whether or not they got paid for it if they had time from their jobs. And fact is our progress is not concerned with developing communities that are provide opportunities for healthy lifestlyes. We have whole areas where there is nothing to do but go to the mall, which, of course is what those capitalists want you to do.
@wolfgang0070 From Merriam Webster on greed: a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (as money) than is needed. Yes sir--greed and morality are mutally exclusive. Unfettered capitalism is antithetical to the human spirit. Humans thrive on community and cooperation. Competition creates alienation. That's why Americans are the most spiritually bereft people in the world despite their luxurious lifestyles. Ever read what Jesus said about wealth--the eye of the needle thing?
Complete idiots are those who think that individual greed and the info-noise + deceptions it poisons our brain with are mutex with life. I explained why a life body is a communist society: no cell-brothers "enjoy independence", they are "slaves" of each other and intereset of one is interest of another. That is why the brain that totally plans and controls its underlying brothers never abuses them.
The telecom corps are similar communist-totalitarian-planed economies with no market inside.
Realizing the benefits of social solidarity and planning over the corruptive individualism, the conservatives are good. Yet, they often turn into crazy evil movements when start 1) to fight socialism and communism worldwide and 2) spread freedom and democracy, these false western values.
I believe this idiocy is caused by capitalists, who control the western world and benefit from individualism and corruption. Capital demonizes the communism to scare people to go left but fight it as fascists.
I had a luck to live in a communist country and can compare with free market disaster. The democratic govs are controlled by rich for their own interest. Yet, Alex Jones tells total nonsense about communism. Also, he does not understand that these are his capitalist ideals, ownership&profit, that force everybody to deceive and manipulate others and cause all wars. As things go worse with capitalism advancing, its liberal defenders blame everything on "communist gov" turning us further right.
@valtih1978 i have visited communists countries in the east and i have seen the disaster of communism on their culture, education and economies. communism does not provide a feedback mechanism to keep marginal costs as low as possible. in the west we don't have capitalism, we have big corporations controlling governments to provide them monopolies, in short: fascism. we have also the rothschilds and rockefellers parasites controlling the private central banks using USURY: their NEW WORLD ORDER
All people in USSR got fundamental university-style education. The beatiful culture was full of sense&moral. Modern noise popstar-masscult and education for elites is a crime. We had no luxury of the 1st world, but better food (1 sort of bread was better than any of 100 today), more competent medical personal, much more efficient living infrastructure (capitalist 3rd world can't affrod it). We had agriculture, electronics and heavy industry that produced 1/3 of world airplanes.
@valtih1978 in the sixties yes. but it was doomed to fail because it hadn't a built-in mechanism to handle inefficiencies: you need competition for that. but in any case it doesn't matter. what does matter for every human being on this planet is: exposing the PRIVATE central banks manipulating the world economies and creating money out of debt with the purpose to destroy humanity. our humanity is dying because of these satanists rothschilds and rockefellers they want us microchipped.
The free market is impossible -- it produces efficient monopolies - the totalitarian planned economies that have no free market inside. Look at a life creature or army. They can survive in great danger every day but disintegrate in a minute - let the parts the private accumulation. Capitalism is created to feed the rich rather than for survival of humanity. Holists' purpose is opposite to max destruction. Be one.
Until sixties we moved towards socialism. Then, values started to change...
@nwoecb it was doomed to fail because it had to put so much of it's resources into fending off capitalist countries which sought to destroy it. If the Soviet Union had not excelled in the arms race & spy game we would have infiltrated it, overthrown it's government as we have so many other countries.
@nwoecb In 1919 after the revolution, the SU had a 5% literacy rate. In just 30 years, it educated all of it's people and became the world's 2nd greatest power inspite of the embargos and threats from the western world. That's a feat that we have never seen replicated in an area that vast. It's entire history the Soviet Union was threatened by the Western world. That and its attempts to expand its empire is what brought it down, just as our attempts at empire will be what brings us down.
We could'n imagine that these goods can be lost if we enjoy the advertised western selfish luxury lifestyle. It was a mistake.
Now, since monopoly is the most efficient organization, market feedback produces em. Then, capitalism urges the wealthy to profit from you. Collectivist brain does the opposite -- it is solid with the rest of body and provides its needs. See who raised fascism in Europe 193x under threat of socialist rev-tion, how fascists commited to fight communism international.
@valtih1978 And why some American banks and corporations supported fascism in Europe. All wars are fought by us but created by the ultra rich to make them even richer--even the so-called good war.
@bashia, you are right mentioning super-rich profiting from wars. But referring the "democratic" West supporting the fascists (taking over the going-to-left countires) I denounce the nonsense that "NWO are collectivists". Right-wingers who consecrate "Victims of Communism Memorial"s, who support communists-killing fascists, who are fascists themselves and kill communists in millions (take Korea and Viet) while fighting socialism on the Planet cannot be collectivists. They are crazy or opposite.
I haven't figured out what those NWO people are all about. Are they neo-conservatives who were originally trotskyests or are they corporatists or just elites that want a world the rich rule over with the rest of us as slaves or maybe all of the above planning to duke it out in the end. If you know tell me
I am not a pro-capital liberal to make up the NWO dreams. I see both Bush and Clinton readily bombed Iraq and Ugoslavia under fake pretext to spread the "freedom and democracy" (capitalism). By highlighting that the super-rich are the natural product of the free market and their hard struggle against communism all over the planet for capitalism and liberal democracy and free market, I point out 2 things: 1) capital tycoons are anticommunists 2) those who tell that they are communists are crazy.
Totally with you on that. But maybe they're not crazy--just drinking the koolaid. And there's a lot of koolaid passed around in this country. It's hard to know what to believe sometimes, so I can't blame people that are drowning themselves in koolaid. When you've been raised your entire life with your entire community repeating the rhetoric of the U.S. as the greatest and standing for justice and peace for all, it's really, really hard to let go of that idea.
@nwoecb you've never seen a real communism. The only example of communism I'm aware of were the Kibbutz's in Palestine bef. the creation of the state of Israel. The countries you saw were totalitarian & certainly not classless w/common ownership of property. Communism apparently cannot exist concomitantly with capitalism, since capitalists seek to expand their markets and access to cheap raw materials and w/o strong central government true communism isn't able to fend them off.
I don't know what Alex Jones really wants--maybe just notoriety. Maybe he believes what he says. But the upshot is that he is helping the ultra rich more than the rest of us, because he makes his audience feel either powerless or inflamed. We should avoid unreasoned revolution at all costs.
@bashia I agree. If you would like to listen to a show that is less about doom and more about the anaylsis of the system, try the "Deadline Live with Jack Blood" podcast. He also has a YouTube channel under the name, "DeadlineLiveTV".
You won't feel like your being pitched doomsday products like you do at the Alex Jones show.
@nwoecb we evolved as collectivists. The important question is who runs the government. Is it democractically controlled by not just the rich but all members of the society or is it a totalitarian form of government. If we create a community in which all people support each other in times of need and crisis we all benefit from the feelings of security that results. Today the only people in the U.S. that are afforded support in times of crisis are the ultra rich.
This film is a great exposition of evilish conservative character. Unfortunately, exposed, it justifies the destructive effect of individualism on society. Yet, conservatives are 100 % right when point this corruption out. It is a private interest that is a source of cricises, of which ecology is the most dangerous. This video also mistakenly claims that science can proove to the blind obsessed consumers that their activity affects environment.
I'm afraid you've neither watched the series, and quite likely have done very little research into terrorism. Adam Curtis does not deny the events you reference; but he does an excellent job of showing that the threat of terrorism in the West was vastly overstated. And he's absolutely right.
I believe that we are all created equal, our spirits will perserve against those who try to scare us into fear, fuck that shit, the evil ones cannot stand to be exposed to the light, Please keep exposing them, the future of our country, our children are at risk. Please tell the mainstream media, many of them are bought and paid for, many are not, most people believe in goodness, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for every man, woman, and child, on earth. Peace, and harmony, respect is
The fall of Russia "should have" taught us a lot about politicians over-stating dangers. For 30 years the US spread fears leading us to believe in the "cold war", absurd bomb shelters, armaments and none of that was supported by facts. The Vietnam wars and Gulf of Tonkin should have also taught us a lesson. Every war since WWII has been 'dirty'. What real facts the public was told about were few. Liberal bias? Hardly. Clinton helped engineer the destabilization of Yugoslavia. Obama's the same.
Ummm How is that an overstatement? Russia had a huge nuclear arsenal, if they wanted to they could have killed all of us. Even if you think that our view of Russian power was overstated, do you not realize that its always been the case?
Throughout history people have always overestimated Russia. In the 1800's when the Russians defeated Sweden they became considered a preeminent world power only to have their navies and armies demolished soon after words. The only thing that has ever saved Russia (both from Napoleon and the Nazis) was winter.
lol, i watched this in politics class, they made a good point, but my teacher said don't take it too literaly, casue everyone has a left wing or a right wing point of view.
the more i read the comments the more i wonder if anyone was watching.this documentary left out some information but shows the motives behind the conspiracy behind the 911 attacks and the same ol band of characters who've been manipulating foreign policy for decades. alcaida?.a bunch of baloney. this war will bleed us till we fall if we dont end it already. global war on terror? please?its called the industrial military complex our country is being raped of in the name of profit.
every time i hear someone even talk about terrorism and how its the worse thing ever, and gets scared shitless by it. I just wish at that moment a meteor will strike earth and destroy 20 cities and kill a billion ppl, just so these narrow minded ppl can see how trivial their fears are compare to the cosmos.
And this video is doing exactly what they themselves are arguing against. They are trying to draw moral equivalence between Western countries and Jihadist groups. There is no doubt in my mind that the threat has been exaggerated, but the threat is nonetheless there. Whether the terrorists can kill 800 or 8000 people, the fact of the matter is that they still are capable of committing disproportionate amounts of terror on whomever they disagree with.
ps: If we pretend that those people (jihadists) serve no realistic threat to us, we might as well sit on the highest pedestal from where we can witness our own demise.
But it is your demise that you are seeing now, not theirs. And it is (usa'ers) that threatened the world, not the other way around. policing every country, having over 500 bases all over the world..............wth does that tell you
Well you say they're burying their heads in the sand & that the threat is real & pervasive, yet there's been less than a dozen attacks in the west in almost a decade. Compare that to ETA, IRA campaigns and then ask yourself what kind of threat we face.
The video isn't saying there are no terrorists, it's saying our leaders overstate the danger & exploit terror, which is true - it makes good political sense to do so.
There are two reasons why the attacks have dramatically dropped. 1) They got what they wanted, which was to drag Western troops to fight on their soil after years of constant attacks in the 90s. They want Western troops there so it can validate what they have been saying to their fellow Muslims for more than a decade: the West is imperialistic, the West wants to invaded Muslim countries and trip them of their resources, etc.
2) They are at their weakest right now, therefore theyre not able to mount spectacular operations like they use to. They even made an entire brigade composed of children, to compensate for the shortage of fighters.
i personally believe the threat lays not in these tinpot terrorist organizations, but in states that can provide them with lets say.....a nuclear device.
I agree that our governments are experts in scaremongering, but putting in our heads that the threat is dismissible is doing us a disfavor in combating the problem.
ps: You don't fight a junkyard dog with dialog and understanding, what you do is unleash your bigger and meaner dog.
I disagree, you cannot solve social conflicts by institutionalizing violence.
If the problem is "violence" then how does it make any sense to generate more violence as a solution? It's a non-sequitur.
So far the state has killed more people than the terrorists have, so who is the greater "evil"?
To stop violence you have to address the motive of violent behavior, which is psychological, and you cannot treat the emotional circumstances that create violence by killing people.
Let me get this right... So if someone was repeatedly beating up a friend of yours and there were no cops to stop them, you wouldn't hit them? You would just talk to them?
If it doesn't work on the small scale (ie. someone jumping you) then what makes you think it will work on the large scale? (between nations)
Again, if the problem is violence, how does it make sense to solve the conflict with more violence?
The U.S. state has killed more people in the war on terror, than the terrorists have. If violence is the problem, we are causing more of a problem than we are solving.
The individual, and the group are very different things, particularly when "the nation" in question is a coercive institution, rather than a voluntary association.
Also, you never demonstrated that talking out a compromise DOESN'T mitigate conflict. For instance, my aunt once talked her way out of a rape scenario. Clearly non-violent means DO work in individual scenarios. They've also worked in "national" scenarios, see the Indian independence movement that overthrew British rule.
I'm not saying that you HAVE to use non-violent means of conflict resolution. But I am saying that institutionalizing a solution, particularly violence, does not work.
I'm not doubting your honesty but how on earth could she talk her way out of a rape scenario? It never hurts to try to 'talk something out' but when that fails and you are still attacked you must use force. The only reason Gandhi's non-violent method worked is because he was dealing with a level headed democracy, not crazy fundamentalists, and as we all know democracies are much more prone to sue for peace, see the Democratic Peace Theory. I had a personal experience where I was
about to be jumped by three people, did I try to talk it out? You bet I did. Did it work? Hells no. You see talking is by far the best alternative, but often fails, depending on the foe. But you are right in that institutionalizing violence is not a good alternative, but it has to be on the table at all times. This world is not one of More's utopias, if you simply turn the other cheek you won't survive. Speak softly and carry a big stick." - T. Roosevelt.
Here's the thing though, when you institutionalize violence, it's going to be payed for by extortion, taxation, they come to me, and take the resources I have earned voluntarily, and they do it by force. Naturally, this is destructive to the social order.
Now, non-institutional violence will always be on the table, I can't do anything about that, people have free will, so it goes. But at the very least I don't have to fund it.
You know you can search the word nightmares on youtube and it comes up with a vid for just about everything except the concept of an actual nightmare! LOL! Youtube is fucking retarded!
It should be noted, however, that American intervention in Afghanistan began years ago, at least six months prior to the Soviet invasion in December, 1979.
In a 1998 interview with former National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski in the French publication Le Nouvel Observateur, the significant portions of which never made it to the United States, he admitted that American activities in Afghanistan actually began six months prior to the Soviet action.
Brzezinski said the Jimmy Carter administration began secretly funding opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul in July of 1979 with the full knowledge such action might provoke a Soviet invasion. Soviet leaders at the time argued the invasion was necessary to thwart American aggression in Afghanistan
There is an Al Qaeda network although it has been weakened it has not been eliminated. I think its all been downhill for Al Qaeda since 9/11 and they have been relatively dormant for A while. But to say that there is no network or that Al qaeda doesnt exist is just foolish.
The former national security advisor, who helped found the globalist Trilateral Commission, expressed no regret at this provocation, stating, That secret operation was an excellent idea. Itbrought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire. It also produced the Taliban regime which we are fighting today, as well as Osama bin Laden.
How do you know an al qaeda exists??? What proof do you have?
Is it only based on what the media tells you???
Let me ask you this, 911 was committed on US soil and almost 9 years ago. The "hjackers" executed an almost impossible mission, one plane hitting the Pentagon!
Yet there has NOT BEEN ONE ATTACK in 8 years.
Despite the fact...
- There are over 1 million illegals crossing the border every year
And now Obama expanded the number of troops in Afghanistan and still isn't getting out of Iraq. And for what? You really think Obama doesn't know that there is no real Al Qaeda network? You could tell the truth right to a person's face perfectly so they can understand it, but they still would rather hold on to their fantasies. The truth is too psychologically devastating for the weak and cowardly.
Im a longtime forum troll i graduated from internode pub to cybergamer forums. The best way to remove a troll from the community is remove his food source after 6 months of trolling cybergamer every knew me fairly well and just ignored me. This i believe is the best way to fix the issue. If you simply ignore the troll then he dies out as theres nothing motivating him to keep going. The more you reply the bigger the troll becomes and the more enflated his self ego becomes.
I´ve wanted to see this documentary for a looooooooong time , especially since 2006.
But before we would all be offered this documentary to watch we would have to be forced to undergo the consciousness shift first , and that´s why so few of us had heard about it in 2006
This documentary is indeed an eye-opener that has been taken the wrong way by idiots on both sides. At no point does the film suggest that terrorists didn't attack the WTC on 9/11, quite the contrary. All it says is that there are many shades of gray in issues like these, and we need to throw our absurd cliches about good and evil away.
Illusion, fanatsy, dream..??? said that to the victims of 9/11, or the countless vicitims of groups like the FARC in Colombia, regardless who is causing these events they are very muc real. so to whoever wrote this, is about time to stop getting high, wake up and see the reality. this is not beatles or janis joplin land. (BTW I love thier music). they talk about politicians as if they were some kind of special mutant. anyone can and of us can make a difference. stop pointing fingers and act.
can you intelligently understand what he said....No... example google this NeoCon theory by charles schmidt. Society can't exist without an enemy for cohesion... there are people acting that are slandered by the media... I bet you also think that income tax is legal but you have never seen the law, nor could you find it. 2003 supreme court ruling as many other times... it is not a law, but di you pay it? I bet you do... change that smart ass
I was kinda thinking the same thing. That's what I love about Curtis' documentaries... they make a liberal like me face the harsh truth that all these idiots in high places are really just people who honestly believe they're doing the right thing. It's so much easier to think of Neocons and/or terrorists as all-powerful and evil.
Well said Louis, youtube is to conspiracy dopes what sewers are to rats. Its a shame that fine documents like those made by Curtis may be affiliated with fantasy theories.
17) The 911 Commission hid that the top Pakistani in its ISI (CIA), Gen Mahmoud Ahmad, paid off Mohammad Atta for 911 & the future director of the CIA, Senator Bob Graham, & Chairman Goss worked with Ahmad the very day of the pay off; Ahmad also worked with CIA dir Tenant morning of 911; it should be understood that Lt. General Ahmad as head of the ISI was a "US approved appointee"
18) 911 Commission hides that Bushs brother was head of security at WTC; unprecedented last min bldg power down entire weekend just before 911, (which meant NO SECURITY & video cams off), while men with miles of cable came in & began unknown work; security was lifted & bomb sniffing dogs removed 5 days prior to 911!
19) WTC towers were tasked to remove all asbestos, an impossible task; today not a legit effort to replace them
Fascinating....The rats are now becoming aware that they are simply test subjects and they have become aware of the cage they can never escape from...It took you long enough...and if history is true to its repetitiousness, then this knowledge will not be a game changer....Once you escape from the box we have created to contain you, you will only find that you are in another box inside of another still...I think its time that we put an end to this destructive conflict...Obey your masters.

Usama Bin Laden has been dead and most likely the face that we see on tv is not even real. Its more like Al-CIA-da not Alqueda. Anything for a buck right? it would be good if they made a follow up to these, to deal with more recent events. link this film with the fact that the US needs to make sure oil is sold in $ not euros or yen etc and you have a winning combination. the US makes dollars, the oil money goes thru US banks = the US gov gets rich = big military = control. thats the true reason for iraq and afghanistan, its not just oil. sadam went to the world bank and asked to sell oil in euros - then he hanged. iran has done the same.

The people who come up with these policies dont just toss a coin, they have researchers and theoreticians to ''do the math'' and therefore will be fully aware that a very likely ''blowback'' outcome will be that the groups they encourage wont just lay down and be quiet-why would they,if they have not achieved the goals that they are prepared to lay down thier lives for. buffmancyprus 1 year ago
Collective punishment against Palestine makes Hamas stronger, not weaker, which Israel (like the US with Al Qaeda) doesn't seem to mind.
mustachecrossing 1 year ago
@mustachecrossing "you're ignoring the fact that the "war on terror" is spreading terrorism." So what would your response to terrorism be? To bend over and say, "please, sir, may I have some more?" Of course we have to fight it. And you'll notice the latest U.N. statistics say the total level of terrorism in the world has fallen to an all-time low, despite the focus the press has put on it in the last decade.
And I challenge you to back up that ridiculous assertion about Israel vs. Hamas.
Christobanistan 1 year ago
@Christobanistan Hamas has killed approximately 500 people since 1993, Israel killed that many civilians in the 2008-9 war on gaza alone, by conservative estimates. Not to mention illegally using white phosphorous as a weapon, and intentionally targetting hospitals and international media. Show me the UN study
mustachecrossing 1 year ago
@mustachecrossing That's absolutely ridiculous, and your bias is showing, but then anti-semetism is easy to spot.
I wonder, did you count those thousands killed by Hamas for dancing at weddings? I bet you didn't.
Christobanistan 1 year ago
@Christobanistan The best way to fight terrorism would have been to never interfere with those countries in the first place, but it's too late for that. If you want to fix it you have to consider what its causes are, which I believe are a combination of ignorance, reactionism, religious fundamentalism (which goes hand-in-hand with ignorance), extreme poverty and constant agitation from the west. The best way to fight it is to stop killing civilians and promote education and humanitarianism. Duh.
mustachecrossing 1 year ago
@mustachecrossing "The best way to fight terrorism would have been to never interfere with those countries in the first place"
You mean like helping the Afghans turn back the tide against the Soviets who were killing thousands of them every day? Or the several places over the last 20 years where we have intervened to stop the slaughter of muslims?
You are just another anti-semitic, wild-eyed muslim fool.
Christobanistan 1 year ago
@Christobanistan Would you just settle down and stop calling everyone who disagrees with you an anti-semite? The point is that no one should commit war crimes, especially if you want peace against terrorists. Maybe sticking around to help them rebuild after they fought for us, like we promised. Or never installing the Shah in Iran.Or providing weapons to Israel, or supporting Hussein in the 80's.
mustachecrossing 1 year ago
@Christobanistan But you are an anti-semite. Not gonna ignore that one.
Please point out these war crimes.
Sure, it would have been wise to 'stick around' to help rebuild Afghanistan after the Soviets destroyed it, though I'm not sure how that earns us their ire, after all WE are the ones who SAVED them.
As for the Shah, learn your history. The zealots were trying themselves to take over the country at the time; the CIA only made that move as a stopgap to prevent their takeover.
Christobanistan 1 year ago
@Christobanistan And supporting Hussein in the 80s was no great act of evil, either, considering they were at war with an enemy that had sworn to destroy us, an enemy that has turned out to be far worse (as the CIA predicted) than the Shah ever was. When he turned against his people, we turned against him.
Of course you would point out supporting Israel, the only democracy in a sea of serpents in it's fight to survive the virulently anti-semetic Arab onslaught, anti-semite.
Christobanistan 1 year ago
@Christobanistan Arabs are semites you moron,.How can they be anti-semitic? And Israel is not a democracy -- it is an apartheid state. Your perception of the middle east is almost AMERICAN in its stupendous ignorance. I suspect you may be one. Go to the middle east. Wealthy people in Europe often go there to winter.. or to shop, or just to take a break . There are many many nice places there. a good deal nicer than Israel. Sure, Palestine is a shithole... But whose fault is that? ... IDIOT.
rlinfinity 1 year ago
@rlinfinity Of course I meant Jews. Don't play semantics. And yes, Israel is a democracy, even if part of the population is ruled by monsters that constantly try to kill their civilians. You are either a fool or ultra rich.
bashia 2 years ago 2
@wolfgang0070 Not true at all. People are naturally creative and would create whether or not they got paid for it if they had time from their jobs. And fact is our progress is not concerned with developing communities that are provide opportunities for healthy lifestlyes. We have whole areas where there is nothing to do but go to the mall, which, of course is what those capitalists want you to do.
bashia 2 years ago
@wolfgang0070 From Merriam Webster on greed: a selfish and excessive desire for more of something (as money) than is needed. Yes sir--greed and morality are mutally exclusive. Unfettered capitalism is antithetical to the human spirit. Humans thrive on community and cooperation. Competition creates alienation. That's why Americans are the most spiritually bereft people in the world despite their luxurious lifestyles. Ever read what Jesus said about wealth--the eye of the needle thing?
bashia 2 years ago

Capital demonizes the communism to scare people to go left but fight it as fascists.
valtih1978 2 years ago
@valtih1978 "..i believe..." .. inform yourself. the New World Order are collectivists.
nwoecb 2 years ago
I had a luck to live in a communist country and can compare with free market disaster. The democratic govs are controlled by rich for their own interest. Yet, Alex Jones tells total nonsense about communism. Also, he does not understand that these are his capitalist ideals, ownership&profit, that force everybody to deceive and manipulate others and cause all wars. As things go worse with capitalism advancing, its liberal defenders blame everything on "communist gov" turning us further right.
valtih1978 2 years ago
@valtih1978 i have visited communists countries in the east and i have seen the disaster of communism on their culture, education and economies. communism does not provide a feedback mechanism to keep marginal costs as low as possible. in the west we don't have capitalism, we have big corporations controlling governments to provide them monopolies, in short: fascism. we have also the rothschilds and rockefellers parasites controlling the private central banks using USURY: their NEW WORLD ORDER
nwoecb 2 years ago
All people in USSR got fundamental university-style education. The beatiful culture was full of sense&moral. Modern noise popstar-masscult and education for elites is a crime. We had no luxury of the 1st world, but better food (1 sort of bread was better than any of 100 today), more competent medical personal, much more efficient living infrastructure (capitalist 3rd world can't affrod it). We had agriculture, electronics and heavy industry that produced 1/3 of world airplanes.
valtih1978 2 years ago
@valtih1978 in the sixties yes. but it was doomed to fail because it hadn't a built-in mechanism to handle inefficiencies: you need competition for that. but in any case it doesn't matter. what does matter for every human being on this planet is: exposing the PRIVATE central banks manipulating the world economies and creating money out of debt with the purpose to destroy humanity. our humanity is dying because of these satanists rothschilds and rockefellers they want us microchipped.
nwoecb 2 years ago
The free market is impossible -- it produces efficient monopolies - the totalitarian planned economies that have no free market inside. Look at a life creature or army. They can survive in great danger every day but disintegrate in a minute - let the parts the private accumulation. Capitalism is created to feed the rich rather than for survival of humanity. Holists' purpose is opposite to max destruction. Be one.
Until sixties we moved towards socialism. Then, values started to change...
valtih1978 2 years ago
@nwoecb it was doomed to fail because it had to put so much of it's resources into fending off capitalist countries which sought to destroy it. If the Soviet Union had not excelled in the arms race & spy game we would have infiltrated it, overthrown it's government as we have so many other countries.
bashia 2 years ago
@nwoecb In 1919 after the revolution, the SU had a 5% literacy rate. In just 30 years, it educated all of it's people and became the world's 2nd greatest power inspite of the embargos and threats from the western world. That's a feat that we have never seen replicated in an area that vast. It's entire history the Soviet Union was threatened by the Western world. That and its attempts to expand its empire is what brought it down, just as our attempts at empire will be what brings us down.
bashia 2 years ago
We could'n imagine that these goods can be lost if we enjoy the advertised western selfish luxury lifestyle. It was a mistake.
Now, since monopoly is the most efficient organization, market feedback produces em. Then, capitalism urges the wealthy to profit from you. Collectivist brain does the opposite -- it is solid with the rest of body and provides its needs. See who raised fascism in Europe 193x under threat of socialist rev-tion, how fascists commited to fight communism international.
valtih1978 2 years ago
@valtih1978 And why some American banks and corporations supported fascism in Europe. All wars are fought by us but created by the ultra rich to make them even richer--even the so-called good war.
bashia 2 years ago
@bashia, you are right mentioning super-rich profiting from wars. But referring the "democratic" West supporting the fascists (taking over the going-to-left countires) I denounce the nonsense that "NWO are collectivists". Right-wingers who consecrate "Victims of Communism Memorial"s, who support communists-killing fascists, who are fascists themselves and kill communists in millions (take Korea and Viet) while fighting socialism on the Planet cannot be collectivists. They are crazy or opposite.
valtih1978 2 years ago
I haven't figured out what those NWO people are all about. Are they neo-conservatives who were originally trotskyests or are they corporatists or just elites that want a world the rich rule over with the rest of us as slaves or maybe all of the above planning to duke it out in the end. If you know tell me
bashia 2 years ago
I am not a pro-capital liberal to make up the NWO dreams. I see both Bush and Clinton readily bombed Iraq and Ugoslavia under fake pretext to spread the "freedom and democracy" (capitalism). By highlighting that the super-rich are the natural product of the free market and their hard struggle against communism all over the planet for capitalism and liberal democracy and free market, I point out 2 things: 1) capital tycoons are anticommunists 2) those who tell that they are communists are crazy.
valtih1978 2 years ago
Totally with you on that. But maybe they're not crazy--just drinking the koolaid. And there's a lot of koolaid passed around in this country. It's hard to know what to believe sometimes, so I can't blame people that are drowning themselves in koolaid. When you've been raised your entire life with your entire community repeating the rhetoric of the U.S. as the greatest and standing for justice and peace for all, it's really, really hard to let go of that idea.
bashia 2 years ago 2
@nwoecb you've never seen a real communism. The only example of communism I'm aware of were the Kibbutz's in Palestine bef. the creation of the state of Israel. The countries you saw were totalitarian & certainly not classless w/common ownership of property. Communism apparently cannot exist concomitantly with capitalism, since capitalists seek to expand their markets and access to cheap raw materials and w/o strong central government true communism isn't able to fend them off.
bashia 2 years ago
I don't know what Alex Jones really wants--maybe just notoriety. Maybe he believes what he says. But the upshot is that he is helping the ultra rich more than the rest of us, because he makes his audience feel either powerless or inflamed. We should avoid unreasoned revolution at all costs.

Obama's the same.
du2vye 2 years ago 2

Throughout history people have always overestimated Russia. every time i hear someone even talk about terrorism and how its the worse thing ever, and gets scared shitless by it.

Whether the terrorists can kill 800 or 8000 people, the fact of the matter is that they still are capable of committing disproportionate amounts of terror on whomever they disagree with.
warjunkie44 2 years ago
ps: If we pretend that those people (jihadists) serve no realistic threat to us, we might as well sit on the highest pedestal from where we can witness our own demise.
warjunkie44 2 years ago
But it is your demise that you are seeing now, not theirs. And it is (usa'ers) that threatened the world, not the other way around. policing every country, having over 500 bases all over the world..............wth does that tell you
themantoobeat 2 years ago 2
Yeah cause it's just constant attacks all the time isn't it
handofsutekh 2 years ago
I'm not sure i understand your argument.
warjunkie44 2 years ago
Well you say they're burying their heads in the sand & that the threat is real & pervasive, yet there's been less than a dozen attacks in the west in almost a decade. Compare that to ETA, IRA campaigns and then ask yourself what kind of threat we face.
The video isn't saying there are no terrorists, it's saying our leaders overstate the danger & exploit terror, which is true - it makes good political sense to do so.
handofsutekh 2 years ago 9
There are two reasons why the attacks have dramatically dropped. 1) They got what they wanted, which was to drag Western troops to fight on their soil after years of constant attacks in the 90s. They want Western troops there so it can validate what they have been saying to their fellow Muslims for more than a decade: the West is imperialistic, the West wants to invaded Muslim countries and trip them of their resources, etc.
warjunkie44 2 years ago
2) They are at their weakest right now, therefore theyre not able to mount spectacular operations like they use to. They even made an entire brigade composed of children, to compensate for the shortage of fighters.
warjunkie44 2 years ago
So what is the threat, in your estimation?
I'd say we are at risk from very occasional terrorist attacks, and that the threat to the fabric of society is minimal
handofsutekh 2 years ago
i personally believe the threat lays not in these tinpot terrorist organizations, but in states that can provide them with lets say.....a nuclear device.
I agree that our governments are experts in scaremongering, but putting in our heads that the threat is dismissible is doing us a disfavor in combating the problem.
ps: You don't fight a junkyard dog with dialog and understanding, what you do is unleash your bigger and meaner dog.
warjunkie44 2 years ago
I disagree, you cannot solve social conflicts by institutionalizing violence.
If the problem is "violence" then how does it make any sense to generate more violence as a solution? It's a non-sequitur.
So far the state has killed more people than the terrorists have, so who is the greater "evil"?
To stop violence you have to address the motive of violent behavior, which is psychological, and you cannot treat the emotional circumstances that create violence by killing people.
Jcolinsol 2 years ago
Let me get this right... So if someone was repeatedly beating up a friend of yours and there were no cops to stop them, you wouldn't hit them? You would just talk to them?
If it doesn't work on the small scale (ie. someone jumping you) then what makes you think it will work on the large scale? (between nations)
ambwOnTheRun 2 years ago
I specifically said institutionalized violence.
Jcolinsol 2 years ago
Also, you never demonstrated that talking out a compromise DOESN'T mitigate conflict. For instance, my aunt once talked her way out of a rape scenario. Clearly non-violent means DO work in individual scenarios. They've also worked in "national" scenarios, see the Indian independence movement that overthrew British rule.
I'm not saying that you HAVE to use non-violent means of conflict resolution. But I am saying that institutionalizing a solution, particularly violence, does not work.
Jcolinsol 2 years ago
I'm not doubting your honesty but how on earth could she talk her way out of a rape scenario? It never hurts to try to 'talk something out' but when that fails and you are still attacked you must use force. The only reason Gandhi's non-violent method worked is because he was dealing with a level headed democracy, not crazy fundamentalists, and as we all know democracies are much more prone to sue for peace, see the Democratic Peace Theory. I had a personal experience where I was
ambwOnTheRun 2 years ago
about to be jumped by three people, did I try to talk it out? You bet I did. Did it work? Hells no. You see talking is by far the best alternative, but often fails, depending on the foe. But you are right in that institutionalizing violence is not a good alternative, but it has to be on the table at all times. This world is not one of More's utopias, if you simply turn the other cheek you won't survive. Speak softly and carry a big stick." - T. Roosevelt.
ambwOnTheRun 2 years ago
Here's the thing though, when you institutionalize violence, it's going to be payed for by extortion, taxation, they come to me, and take the resources I have earned voluntarily, and they do it by force. Naturally, this is destructive to the social order.
Now, non-institutional violence will always be on the table, I can't do anything about that, people have free will, so it goes. But at the very least I don't have to fund it.

Tactical111 2 years ago
Brzezinski said the Jimmy Carter administration began secretly funding opponents of the pro-Soviet regime in Kabul in July of 1979 with the full knowledge such action might provoke a Soviet invasion. Soviet leaders at the time argued the invasion was necessary to thwart American aggression in Afghanistan

There is an Al Qaeda network although it has been weakened it has not been eliminated. I think its all been downhill for Al Qaeda since 9/11 and they have been relatively dormant for A while. But to say that there is no network or that Al qaeda doesnt exist is just foolish.

Have you met them then? Actually verified it for yourself or just taken Fox and CNN at their word? Cretin!
stevev1969 2 years ago
The former national security advisor, who helped found the globalist Trilateral Commission, expressed no regret at this provocation, stating, That secret operation was an excellent idea. Itbrought about the demoralization and finally the breakup of the Soviet empire. It also produced the Taliban regime which we are fighting today, as well as Osama bin Laden.

emb781
How do you know an al qaeda exists??? What proof do you have?
Is it only based on what the media tells you???
Let me ask you this, 911 was committed on US soil and almost 9 years ago. The "hjackers" executed an almost impossible mission, one plane hitting the Pentagon!
Yet there has NOT BEEN ONE ATTACK in 8 years.
Despite the fact...
- There are over 1 million illegals crossing the border every year
- 6-10 million muslims in america.
How is that possible if Al Qaeda existed?

But before we would all be offered this documentary to watch we would have to be forced to undergo the consciousness shift first , and that´s why so few of us had heard about it in 2006
Yatukih001 2 years ago

(BTW I love thier music). they talk about politicians as if they were some kind of special mutant. anyone can and of us can make a difference. stop pointing fingers and act.
alexpercy77 2 years ago
can you intelligently understand what he said....No... example google this NeoCon theory by charles schmidt.

Disappointed that the comments here are reduced to conspiracy theories, when Adam Curtis works so hard to get to the truths.
LouisPlume 2 years ago
I was kinda thinking the same thing. That's what I love about Curtis' documentaries... they make a liberal like me face the harsh truth that all these idiots in high places are really just people who honestly believe they're doing the right thing. It's so much easier to think of Neocons and/or terrorists as all-powerful and evil.
bunnasoo2 2 years ago 2
