@clapolla To be fair, Dionne has five Grammys to her name and is second to Aretha Franklin in total number of Billboard Top 100 hits by a female artist (almost 60 in total) yet her influence on American culture is somewhat underrated. There's always a huge difference between the public images of these celebrities and the way they appear in this show. Remains to know how much is 'real' and how much is due to the editing process. Yet, many 'strong' contestants are just being crass, really.
When they were on the bus Dionne said that she wanted to go back to her room. Nene said that she thought that everyone should go to the editing room even if they didn't have a specific job to do, just to support their team. When they got to the editing room Dionne just told Nene that she was leaving.

Dionne may be an old lady set in her ways, but she did call Nene out on her mess. Nene was being fake trying to hug her & she called her out on it. I respect Dionne more for this because she could have argued with Nene for a while but she ended it and left gracefully bc it wouldn't have gone down that way on the Real Housewives of Atlanta. All Dionne did was stood her ground if she had been any nicer they would have ran over her. I was glad when Dionne left only because celebrity apprentice is a stressful show and i don't think Dionne is equipped for dealing with all the drama.

@clapolla To be fair, Dionne has five Grammys to her name and is second to Aretha Franklin in total number of Billboard Top 100 hits by a female artist (almost 60 in total) yet her influence on American culture is somewhat underrated. However, I agree that her Celebrity Apprentice appearance did not showcase her in the most flattering light!

Say what you want about Dionne, but she came off as the essence of cool. She got her point across without breaking a sweat. And she was the coolest when she walked out that building. I have not kept up with the show, so I have no idea what she was like on here......On another note, Dionne has so many hits under her belt. She doesn't have a thing to prove. Find me someone today that can sing those complicated songs that she sang back in the day, then I apologize!

When they were on the bus Dionne said that she wanted to go back to her room. Nene said that she thought that everyone should go to the editing room even if they didn't have a specific job to do, just to support their team. When they got to the editing room Dionne just told Nene that she was leaving.

The Dionne or anyone on this show that is depicted....isn't necessarily reality. Some is even scripted. Maybe this is - in part - what Dionne is like, maybe not. Unless you know her, you'd have no way to know. On Dionne's latest CD, which was just released, she sounds better than she has in years.
