Don't be a JERK OFF! In what part of NYC do you find jokers like the guy in this lame video? Can't you be creative & positive in your efforts to educate? As a born & raised New Yorker, I'm pissed off! As a cyclist, I know the laws & as a creative artist, I know crap when I see it! The last thing you do to get a New Yorker's attention is call them a JERK unless you want a fight. Persuade with courtesy & creativity if you want the people's attention! There is nothing funny about traffic safety!

funny spot. I just wonder if there was ever such a campaign adressing car-driver-jerks. And thats what upsets me: the absolut number of reckless cardrivers (park on sidewalks and bikelanes, dont stop for pedestrians, run red lights, dont obey speed-limits) are so much higher than the reckless bicyclists. And cars kill so many more people than bikes. So why not adress car-drivers but make bikers appearing as jerks?

Newsflash honey: I'm an everyday urban cyclist-commuter and my point was that bike lane suck b/c they are destroying urban cycling and perpetuating the hegemony of cars in the public space known as streets.

The bike lanes should be two-way like in other cities. The lanes on 8th, 9th, and Columbus are all wide enough to be two-way. Nobody wants to go 1000 feet out of their way just to ride back where they came from.

What I said was that the bike lanes should all be two-way, unless they're very narrow and there isn't room.
