  • R.I.P Rachel.

  • A lot of this is stuff everyone experiences when they get seriously old. You all will be sailing through that time of life I think.

  • Thanks, saw part one and part two helps a lot!!

  • I am still going through benzo withdrawal and I feel exactly the same way as far as memory. I even have the dyslexia symptoms and inability to do even the most basic math. I can't remember most of my 2 years on the benzos. It's crazy.

  • I was having serious neurological and memory problems due to being nutrient deficient because of my celiac disease. Please, please, please get going on B12, responsible for nuerological function. My memory totally came back. They are also showing great improvements for alzeimers and dementia, as well as mental disorders. There is a Traditional Chinese doctor who has cured over 10,000 patients with "disorders" through diet. I was having similar problems with reading/writing and dyslexic like stuf

  • I have no history of mental illness but was just curious as to what ect involves, I must say thank you for your very insightful account of it all, excellent vlog!!

  • Im in tears. I met my soulmate and the next 2 1/2 years was learning about this the hard way. she went to visit her mom and they have power over her to the point shes traumatized and like brainwashed by her parents. no one in her family will talk to me but we discreetly text. she 39 im 50 and my finance has been ripped away from our lives and told that I dont make enough money to take care of her by her father and he will disown her if she returns. I need to talk more with you.

  • @TeamAmericaFukYeah feel free to message me on here

  • good luck :)

  • I had an experience like you are describing about the not being able to read and write. I had a bad concusion and I went to school and tried to write a not to m y friends. They were laughing at what I wrote because it didnt make sense. It was so frustrating I cried lol

  • @rachelstarlive Rachel, I am not a doctor however, I do work in the field of mental health. I was watching you as you spoke on camera. You are so eloquent and precise with your language. When communicating with you, I am sure that some see your keen, intensive look and it may be intimidating. I found that in above average intelligence (which you clearly have) is always an intimidating factor..be yourself too. Carful on how much they let you "treat".

  • my memory is still trying to come back after 10 years. some of the memory impairment is probably from my clozaril. sucks though. i never wanted to get the ect but my doctors and family basically forced me to sign the papers. you're pretty happy and energetic in your videos. that's good. i'm glad it helped you. i take clozaril and lexapro. got a psychology degree post ect. i work as a delivery driver. don't have to remember much. type adress in gps and off i go.

  • Thank you for your video. I have a friend who worked on MK Ultra and I was initiated into the rosicrucians. Lately I see documentaries like Decoded that link the Rosicrucians with mind control (MK Ultra)... I am paranoid and I don't know if all of this is really happening. I also found a book called "Illuminati Mind Controlled Slaves" that contains material all too familiar to me. I want to do ECT because i think it will make all of this go away. I don't know if its real.

  • @cromaat33 It is indeed a scary place to be in. You should seek help though of some kind, at least a doctor to talk to or counselor. For me ECT turned my life around, it made my paranoia go away completely but it is not for everyone.

  • @rachelstarlive Yeah. I was in therapy for a while. They wouldn't diagnose me with anything other than PTSD/dissociative/amnesia. I was isolated and beaten for two years before I flipped out. Then wealthy men who claim to be involve with black ops/psy ops projects "initiated" me into some Order. I'm thoroughly confused. I'm hoping that if I zap myself it will all go away or I can at least forget what I think I remember. Its horrible. People being tortured. I love one of them.

  • @cromaat33 it is real.

  • @orgiophant93 I know... I found out a lot of things in the last 8 months and even received death threats. Thank you for your support. Most people are happy to assist me with the feeling that I'm crazy. Its easier for them.

  • @cromaat33 If I were in your situation, I would find the guy who deprogrammed and married Cathy O'Brien and ask him for a referral. By the way, if you talk with the Holy Spirit with a sincere heart, you will help yourself get closer to healing. You are God's child and a fellow brother who deserves to heal. I send my wishes and prayers. It works, you know?! When I heard Rachel, I wondered if she were an MK-ULTRA victim too. I hope not. Only a few specialists can/will deprogram them.

  • Hi there, just wanted to let you know that I don't think you're "crazy" one bit -- you are obviously intelligent and in my experience there is a fine line between intelligence and craziness! Thanx for sharing your experience w/ ECT -- I am doing a masters in Counselling Psych and this topic came up and the idea horrifies me and seems so barbaric and inhumane and dangerous...I'm still not "sold" on it but I find your experience with ECT very interesting. Thanx again for sharing

  • @superotter77 Check out my other video "Watch if you forget" that was recorded while i was going through the ECT. It may help you with somethings. :)

    Good luck on your Masters!

  • hi there, gonna send u a pm, ur story has brought me some comfort, but only to a degree. ill explain later. glad to see your recovering from ur schizophrenia :)

  • I so much understand you about the memory, that the worst secondary effects.

    Hope it will come back....

  • ECT - consentual torture

  • i responded well to ECT treatment, however 10 months later i still have some negative side effects, luckily no where near as bad as yours.

my memory is completely shot, i can't remember conversations i had and movies i watched more than a week ago. i also feel a lot 'dumber' and have difficulty articulating myself.

my doctor thinks my brain should repair itself over time (maybe a year or more).

have your side effects (mainly cognitive functions) improved much since this making this video?

  • @littlepeter5 You sound like you can articulate yourself pretty darn well here....

  • @gerardoA123 well thank you haha

  • You're looking even prettier than in the video of a year prior. And still Very. Nice. Tits.

  • I have been in the psych hospital 4 times in four years, hooked on Adderall...I recently was taken off of it, and feel no energy, listless, the evenings are a nightmare when the Seroquel wears off, I just rock in the corner crying and talking to myself...I had one ECT, then swallowed a month's supply of Klonopin the same night, so the ECT's were ended...but know, four years later, I am going to try it again and thanks to your videos I feel a glimmer of hope! Thanks so much!

  • @enarchenhologos ... I guess you don't understand, ECT is generally a last resort for many people, especially when medication does not help at all. People who make the choice to have ECT are in a very dark and hopeless place often with no other options other than continue to suffer. She says she wouldn't hesitate to do it again. Maybe now you can see how it can be positive for many people.

  • You are very brave. You are not alone. We are all alone together.

  • One more thing I'd like to add seeing how the side effects to the brain damage have increased from your first video is to detail how many treatments you have had, when you had them, and the side effects you received at which point and/or the increase of them. It seems to me (not a doctor, but I do play one on TV) that sustained treatments may lead to a zombie like state.

In the future please refrain from touching music and include more detailed observations. Your experience has much to offer.

  • It sucks that you've had so many bad side effects, I've had 20 sessions of ECT and the only side effect I've had is slight short term memory loss.

  • I just googled myself and found that I had commented on your videos, I also had ECT... about15 times total in the past 4 yrs. I have NO MEMORY of commenting on your video. Funny how much I can learn about myself just by googling myself. Or not that funny.

  • u r very sweet... love to hear u...lot of things to learn from u.. :)

  • Rachel... I don't know if you are attributing these so called side effects of ECT to the correct cause. The symptoms you are describing are common with your mental disorders and not with ECT it's self. I'm really glad you are feeling better. I hope that if you aren't medicated for your mental disorders that you do so. Best of Luck!

  • that's b.s. I had ECT and many many anecdotal and studies show huge memory problems and ECT. You sound like an ECT doctor, being paternalistic and blaming it all on the illness. Although mental illness is real, eCt destroyed my mind...just listen to this girls cognitive complaints???

  • I get it. Thank you. You are a beautiful soul. Blessings.

  • I have never had ECT before but I do have natures equivalent, Epilepsy. Most of all you said I experience alot when it comes to memory. I was born with this. I am 27 now & my Grand mal siezures came on at 13 while the small siezures have always been there. I also have OCD, Depression, Anxiety, & these things mixed with my Epilepsy can sometimes give schizo. like symptoms sometimes more often than not. So hey, maybe I know a little how ya feel Rachel.

  • Hang in there and don't worry about "normal". Everyone is different.

  • How many threatments did you get? I was awake during one of twelwe threatmeants. They couldnt put me down completely and i woke up before it...Then more medicin, and i was in "look mode". I think ect have destroyed my life. I was good at chess before. Could read better. Cant focus the same at all now. Before my thoughs was like a line : _____- Now its like: - - - - - - - -. Sucks hard. I hate them all. Fuck em! 400v awake. I was depressed. Im still depressed. Fuck ect.

  • Hi rachel, very good what your doing by being open about ECT ! Im glad it has made ure life much better :-) I got only 1 Question...can u pls tell me whats the background music u ure using in here...really really like it...can u tell me who it is & whats the title of the song ?

  • @soulbro75 My buddy nerbeater made it. You can hear it on soundclick dog com his band ID is 973272

The track is "A World To Save" the version that plays in my video has a slightly different intro that I did.

  • Forgot to mention, I have developed severe tremors. Do you have any tremors and what do you do for them? Doc took me off Lithium, and seems to be helping. Talking on phone is crazy, I keep hitting the side of my head with the phone. Talking is rough, but it is coming back. Now eating is really not funny. Soup is really not cool. I start with a spoonful, but have about 1/4 spoonful when it gets to my mouth. Please let me know if you had or have the shakes. Need some feedback. Go girl
  • @jrsinner yeah I had tremors for a bit but nothing that bad. I've also had meds that caused them though. Mine were always my hand, leg, or foot shaking and it would stop after a few minutes.

  • Hey girl,

Reposition that camera angle, you give me thoughts. Just kidding looks great.

If you remember me, I commented in the past.

Been off deep end for awhile again, just got out of psy ward last Friday.

Had my 33rd treatment this morning.

Had great improvement with depression, but hate & suicide are still eating me alive.

Keep getting better and post more video

  • And by the way you look really good!

  • I hope your still doing good, I have a family member having this ECT done this week and hope its the right choice. I just wanted to see what people are saying about it. Thanks for sharing your personal experience.

  • Thank you Rachel!

  • Good for you Rachel. I'm going through ECT right now and love it!

  • ur such a genuine person. You motivate me to fight more thru mental illness. I love ur vids! Keep it up!

  • As I understand it, ECT always causes brain damage. When I worked in psych, I assisted in administering it. Knowing what I do now, I would NEVER do that again. My mother had ECT and couldn't remember when I was little. It bothered her a lot. Ernest Hemingway, after being given ECT, said it took away his livelyhood. Then he commited suicide.

  • @LindaKay1948

Drugs and alternative treatments all come with side effects, whether it's caffeine, Tylenol, or ECT. Despite this, they're made available because they help much more than they harm. It's true that ECT causes memory loss and other cognitive side effects but most of these, if not all, go away in time.

Sure, you can debate that ECT sucks. So does depression. As a last resort option, it treating roughly 75% of depressed cases. It works! Sadly, psychotherapy is nowhere near that.

  • If you read my channel and video you will see what psychiatric drugs did to me. They are very toxic and dangerous. Caffene and Tylenol don't come close. As well as suffering PERMANENT MEMORY LOSS from the ECT, my mother developed tardive dyskinesia (very noticible, and uncontrolable twitching due to brain damage) from the neuroleptics. When I worked in the field, I saw people who had come back for custodial ECT, needed again every six months for years. These people were noticably damaged.

  • Yes, depression is a difficult thing to deal with, especially if it lasts a long time. However, there are other ways to treat it than with drugs. You might want to check out the 2 videos at the top of my favorites list. They took SSRIs and now have permanent sexual dysfunction. One of them says there are many others with the same kinds of damage. They have a support group on Yahoo. I subscribed for a while. 'Very sad. 'People wanting to kill themselves...NOT like caffiene and Tylenol.

  • All treatments undergo vigorous clinical trials for the purpose of ensuring safety and improving our standard of life, but no drug/therapy is perfect. Depression is multi-faceted, in that it can be caused by a multitude of factors, including genetics and traumatizing events. There is no panacea for depression, which is why psychiatrists and patients discuss symptoms and target them with particular treatments, but there will be non-responders and side effects. Alas, it's the nature of depression.

  • Acording to Dr. Peter Breggin in his book, "Toxic Psychiatry" (p.168), "scientifically controlled testing trials for Prozac lasted a mere five or six weeks. Following that, the FDA is largely dependent on unscientific follow-up studies and anecdotal reports spanning a year or two." Dr. Breggin is one of the few psychiatrists brave enough to publicly speak out against what is currently being told to consumers about the so-called "safety" of taking psychiatric drugs.

  • volim te

  • love you ,kiss

  • I don't think you're crazy, interesting YES, crazy, NAH! I like that your sharing your experiences. Stay Strong and I look forward to more of your stunt vids.

  • Good for you girl...glad to know life's much easier to be in :)

  • Hey Rachel its Bestrong, glad to hear that your doing ok.

  • Thanks for the update, sweetheart. It's nice to hear that things are going better, but the reading thing sounds terrible.

  • Great to hear that overall, its still been a positive experience :) this video reminds me of my father when he started getting various treatment. Oh btw, i agree, no masters! Undergrad maximum, thats my rule. I cant wait to get out there and start working ya know. Anyways, just wanted to let ya know that im happy that your doing well!

  • Okay, first I usually like your videos very much... Problems reading, trouble doing math, memory difficulties. The treatments for these difficulties remind me of a person trying to shoot something in a dark room, They might hit the problem, they might hit something else... Except the room is your brain... Anyway being able to talk about these things is a great thing and I wish you all the best. (deep down I want to say, "Run run run," but there really is no place to run too.

  • You Rock girl! :)
