Follow through with your foot. You're sort of stabbing at it and turning your kick into a step almost. The longer your foot is in contact with the ball and the more you extend your leg the more power you will kick with. As you plant your fixed foot (non-kicking foot) shift your hips forward and use your kicking leg like a pendulum. Hitting the ball at your legs lowest point as it is about to come up also will add to your power.
Get lower on the run up and accelerate through the ball whilst keeping your hips in the line with the posts. Shouldnt really matter what tee you use as long as you spend time on working a technique (Y)
Buy a Supertee they are great for any type of kicker i recoment if u are an ametur kicker that u use a cone to start with to shape and perfect ur style. start infront of the sticks and build it as you progress to harder angles and greater distances. goodluck
But i have problems with how i place my ball, and i can't kick very high or far though :s does someone has tips? (btw i'm thinking about buying this telescope tee)
well similar to how i kick, bt i put more of a curve on it, u shud try kickin with different tees, try optimum telescopic one, i can kick 4m the halfway nd i have shit power with normal tees
Oh yeah, I saw those. How do you place the ball? Because some guys with those tees seem to place it really flat (stephen jones etc.) And when I try that on this tee it just flops straight to the ground.
yea its placed fairly flat lyk, about 30degrees with the ground... i saw the in a couple of lifestyles, in ireland bt u can order them of the optimum website 4 lyk 15euros
follow through you kick straight to the target. If you don't you start to swing whihc loses distance and accuracy. It's very vital to have the 2 steps after the kick it automatically correct ur legs swing for the kick.

try to practice in a rugby field or you'll break a window or kick an old granma

Use whatever tee you feel comfortable with. I kick straight off the ground and still get good distance and accuracy.
Your weight seems to be both dropping and stopping at the contact point. Concentrate on shifting it through smoothly and evenly.
Never try to kick it really hard. A rugby ball is very light and soft, TIMING is the most important aspect.
Having said all that, just enjoy it! You play rugby best when you are having fun with it.

The tee can be quite important once you are quite advanced. I favour the Webb Ellis Henson tee; you can put the ball on it in almost any position

your are not very good because you stop as soon as you hit the ball and you don't think about your run up.
