  • I have Yorkie. Her name is Libby Foo-Foo. Not sure who rescued who, but she is dearly loved.

  • Such a cute story. Thanks for sharing it with us. I sometimes play hide and seek with my yorkie. She always finds me, I believe she follows my scent :)

  • aaaaaaaa i have a yorkie and its name is mona hahhaa

  • awwww sooooooooo cute!! how much was it?

  • this video was amazing pause at 4:38

  • THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love seeing the bond you have with Mona. You obviously care about each other a lot. My dogs are trained to hand signals, too, as I am hearing impaired. I compete in obedience with mine, and my Sheltie accompanies me to work on a daily basis. Dogs can do as much (if not more) for humans as humans can for them.

  • Thankyou for your very kind comments, thankyou also for caring. Don't worry about little Mona, our pets live longer now thanks to excellent medical care & food they recieve. Hamish went early but that's rare, it was just his time. I know a lot of Yorkies stil going strong at 14, 15 & met a lady who had a 20 year old! Smaller dogs do tend to live longer too, I had a terrier X who lived to 18. So little Mona has a long way to go. Love & kisses to her Bye :)

  • Wonderful video, I cry watching her because she;s so precious & looks so much like my little boy who passed away Dec 10 2010, It also brings me great joy seeing her & the love you feel for her. You are both so lucky to have each other, bless you also for your kindness & patience with her, it's what animals need us to be because they devote themselves to us. I wish you & your little Mona & your family lots of love, luck & happiness. Thankyou for sharing a little of your life with us.

  • @bluebird3042 Aw, my heart ache for your loss. This is one thing we fear sharing your similar experience. I don't exactly know yorkie's lifespan. I'm so glad this video brought you happy tears. Love your soul and generosity for animals. Thank you for stopping by. =D

  • COOL STORY BRO

  • Great video (Mona is very special!!!). Request please - could you let people know about clicking "CC" in the description directly under the video? A lot of people who don't sign miss that and move on to another video. Thanks for your consideration and sharing this video.

  • @AlaskaNatureScapes Thank you for your suggestion. Change's made. =D

  • '

    where is the dog park

  • @bestamerica Actually, it's Rose Bowl Park area. We drove by that green lawn and Mona's tail went wagging, Trying to connect our eyes to her wanting to play there. She could be so spoiled but I think happy dogs live longer? =D

  • aguabo,

    '

    hi there,,,

    that is good place,,,

my dog and me are always going to alice dog park in pasadena,,,

    see my few videos

  • good video!!!

  • What a beautiful puppy! I have a Border Terrier mix and a Pomeranian. (Well, the Pomeranian is more attached to my mom, and that's okay. :D) I love our doggies so much! My terrier knows how to sit, but she is having trouble controlling her barking. It's incessant at times. But I love her all the same! Your Yorkie is soooo cute. :)

  • that very very wonderful and u lucky to have a dog that do anything easily with u

  • I wish I knew sign language. Too bad you can't do subtitles for those of us that are "signing impaired." ;) Your Yorkie is adorable. I miss mine terribly.

  • @bjm3458 ahh I programmed all videos with subtitles for people like you. Did u click "CC" on right below corner of video? U gotta see this again with CC turned on, interesting story about Alaskan cruise. I'm sorry about your dog, that's one thing I fear that this will happen to Mona one day. We tight.

  • @aguabo Thanks for replying to my comment. I came back and this time watched (and read) the whole video. I must admit, I only watched about 2/3 of it the first time. It was so interesting, once I knew what you were saying. She is an awesome dog! She is a bit larger than mine was. Her name was Kizzy, about 9 months old when I got her, and my best friend until she passed away at age 14. I saved her ashes. They are incredible dogs, and very loyal!

  • damn my yorkie is more intrested to the sofa.. ronf ronf.. -.-

  • @SmotPoker09 oh shucks, can I adopt your yorkie? LOL ronf ronf

  • VERY ADORABLE SERIOUSLY BUT PEOPLE ADOPT HOMELESS ANIMALS OR THE ONES IN SHELTERS PLEASE............................ THEY ARE LONELY AND NEED LOVE THEY WILL MAKE YOU FEEL SO MUCH BETTER ABOUT WHO YOU ARE JUST BY SAVING ONE HOMELESS ANIMAL

  • You have such a great energy. I want to learn your language one day! So cute and smart dog.

  • how did you train your dog to play the frisbee? i got a 5 month old chihuahua

  • @vidgirl4444 how sweet, I love chihuahuas, fast and smart. I first taught her how to fetch and bring ball back to me. Then she gradually does everything else. She loves frisbee because it takes long time to spin and stay in the air. Your dog can do it, maybe try smaller size of frisbee first?

  • @aguabo thanks!! i will look for smaller frisbees

  • It was reported on a Deaf dating site named Deafornot dot c om that 500,000 Deaf individuals in the United States claim American Sign Language (ASL) as their primary language.

  • Amazing to watch and heartfelt to know...Our little bentley will soon be learning sign language...it is beautiful....just like this video!

  • Oh dear lord! I love your dog already!! She's so smart and bright! you lucky have her!

  • aww!

  • My parents are hard of hearing and they did the same thingto their dog. I am hearing and I choose to do the same thing. I love showing people that my yorkie can bark for each finger I hold up too. I love it! Mine wasnt that affectionate, so I taught him to kiss. He can do the military crawl, bark, put his head down, dance, rollover, ect. I want to teach him to smile...and to learn how to sniff out cash so I can find the random money lying around the house! Wahoo for yorkies and sign language!

  • Alright!!! My parents are hard of hearing and they did the same thing. I am hearing, but I choose to do the same thing. I love showing people that my yorkie can bark for each finger I hold up too. I love it! It will love you and will do what you want.. one, two, ok two, ok you did really good job... Didn't Mona do a good job? Yeah , Wave(clap) I started with Cheerios, and meat- liver cooked and tear it up just give a little bit. Good job, Mona!

  • friend again; she's excited because of food I taught her since she's 4 months old.I think dogs respond to signing than voice. Do you want food? Stay, sit, no I said sit, wait too early, sit. Friend... okay friend again... Beg, beg, Beg, sit, she can cry. Sit, roll, sit, cry, sit, cry, roll,ok wait do you really want food, beg.. say please, please, please okay

  • While eating and looking out the porthole of the ocean, all of a sudden we saw Mona's face! We couldn't figure out how because Mona was in her 6 floor upstairs room. How did Mona find us? My husband ran upstairs. Grandmother told him that the maid opened the door and Mona slipped out. It's amazing how Mona found us among 2,000 people. People thought Mona was a whale at the porthole. LOL Ok, will show you something. stay, sit, no, I said sit.. no, wait friend, ok ,

  • I hope you don't mind Aguabo! I translated for you so people get the gist of what you are saying. Not perfect but just enough to understand.

Part one: Hi, my baby. Sit down and watch. Meet my friends there(you tube). Her name is Mona. Got Mona 8 years ago. I thought what to do with Mona. I must tell you a story. Went on a cruise all three of us to Alaska. Dogs were allowed. 2nd night we met the captain at dinner. Mona stayed in the room with Grandmother in law.

  • I didn't understand the S.L. but I think I understand what was going on but i got the tricks part and that's one smart pup.

  • Is it bad that I took 2 years of ASL in college and the only thing I could understand in this video was "name" ;x

  • and dogs are more receptive to sign language than spoken language... it's common knowledge taught in most dog training courses.

  • wow! She's soooo SMART :) Its good to know that you taught her when she is very young. I wish I would have been teaching my lola, (chcolate lab), her more signing too, :-( though.... I enjoyed watch your dog learning from you on video :-) How old is she?

  • Omg i relly like your yorkshire, are talented! Verry cute.Anny trick on this video my yorkshire can do that!witchout tape hand.... But my yorkshire as learn 16 trick's in 2 week... Mojo have only 9 mouth old. I tink the yorkshire are the great dog!!

  • I have a yorkie too :) Beautiful dog (subscribed you as well)

  • aww , that is soo cute .. yep , that s true . any kind of animals can learn something from their owner who can teach and you right , teach again and again and take times .. until cat or dog can learn something .. that s really amazing . my cats knows that i am deaf .. cuz of they been always paws on my leg to get my attention .. smile ..

  • o how Cute

  • hehe thanks do you have a dog?

  • Thats so cool your dog is adorable but your beautiful !

  • thanks but the music was horrible! just changed it, ....sounds little better...

  • Do you think that there is any chance of teaching tricks to cats!? Just a thought because I have 3 cats and 1 of them can only do a high five... She is called Lavender and loves cuddles!

  • oh yes, any animal can learn any kinds of tricks... have you seen Roy and Seifried doing the magic shows with their cats? I love Lavendar, the name s so perfect for her! =D

  • Wow!, So what king of things could I teach my cat? Oh and thanks for the commplement on Lavenders name! :) No, I havent sen Roy and Seifried. I will look on youtube for them! Thanks so much!!! Xx

  • Sure, the cats can learn some tricks! My cats know ASL!

  • @aguabo Yes you said it right there. My boy Mosey is a British Shorthair and he knows tricks. He knows when I sign "sit" and "handshake" he will sit down like a good gentleman and give me his paw. Any animals can do this.

  • Wow, Thats one talented Yorkie! Unfortunately I do not have one. Im hoping to get a Chihuahua, Dash Hound, Golden Retriever or a Labrador when I move into a house that we dont rent!! Do you think everyone can do tricks with there dog and can it be any dog?? And does the person affect how they teach there dog. Thankyou!!

  • good question, my friend didn't think their dog could learn how to perform any tricks. I told them not to assume anything until they tried. guess what? They tried one with "bang" thing, then their dog eventually learned to play dead on her own. Just 2 hours of practicing! So amazing... their feeling and thoughts about dogs have changed! you should try. if you wanna know how to teach, feel free to ask me. =D

  • Mmm, well I think it might be a bit harder to do it with cats because its SO hard to get their attention, but I could give it a go! Soo.. what kind of tricks? Oh and Im a bigginer. Ive never trained anything before. Thanks much!! Xx

  • You want that people to dance watching your video? ^^

  • LOL, why didn't anyone give me this honest feedback like you did? Well the orginial sound from background was so bad (someone told me) and I had to do "audioSwap" using that music. Wasn't it any good? Can you be my Sound editor the next time I do vlog? Just kidding, let's go and dance!

  • ^^ i am not sure this music really fit this video, don't hesitate doing different experiments. anyway this was catchy, lol... *boing*

  • Wow. You have done amazing work with your dog! You should be very proud of yourselves as trainers. And what a great thing to have a hearing ear yorkie!

  • Oh thank you! I think this comes from watching too much of "Dog Whisper" ?! LOL. Actually I love all animals. With two furlough days starting in February, I am thinking about to volunteer my time at animal shelter.

  • woooow tu si puedes enseñaer de lengua de señas que excelente..

  • i was amazed how u done with your cute yorkie mona becuase i have yorkie and she is only 2 year old i know she must be smart but i never thought of that sign lanage will help her understood me u open my eye already wow

  • JXCOKELOVER73, have you tried using sign language with your dear and precious yorkie? I'm anxious to know. smile

  • Beatrice, my purebred short-haired Chihuahua knows 15 sign language words. She cries like a human baby. She thinks she's a cat...

  • Aw sweet! how did you teach her to cry like a human baby?

  • This breed, Chihuahua hates to be left alone. I didn't teach her to bark, I trained her not to bark as well she did not socialize with other dogs but cats. All she did was crying when she learned from me when I cried... She's learner, but she barks later on at the age of 1 when she realizes she can bark. Since she knows I can't hear her bark, she lets her hair sticks up so I can see her that she is on alert.

  • my mom and daddy are deaf to we are trying to train our dog to speak

  • Did your dog get to speak yet? Let me know if you need some tips on how to train your dog. You would be surprised to see how much dogs can learn and respond to your signing commands =D good luck

  • i love it! my fav part is 1:49 lol

  • LOL LOL I know what you mean..

  • awesome job!!! u must be a proud mama of Mona.

  • This is extreme cute dog. Good job, you have done well with Mona.. Hahaha
