Question: I made a tartga with transparent layer but it won't work ingame. When saving to JPEG it works (because it gets not bigger than 120 KB) and I loose the transparancy but the TARGA, which should let me keep the transparancy is 256 KB. Even if it's NOT annimated, it won't work when it's over 120 KB. Did I do something wrong?

You can get up to 20 frames if u use 16bit to save, I got a spray of 12 frames now with 93kb, you wont notice any quality loss if you dont use to much colors, so for picture it will be noticed, it wont burn your eyes the transition from colors will just be more notice-able, for text it's all fine. Also use the compress method given when saving, this will give you a smaller file just to save some space up your PC, the vtf file size wont be changed by this and there is absolutely no quality loss.

It doesnt work for me at the end when you shall press converter and press a key then it shall be converted into vmt files or whatever but it doesnt work :p

See if you got all the file names spelled correctly. If you've gone maybe wrong somewhere but not sure, delete everything and try to begin again with a clean sheet to be sure you can do every step correctly.

The background was plain white. So I selected it with the 'magic wand tool' (you can google it). And then deleted the selected white area.
