A friend of mine, our choir director, sang this song at her 20 year old daughter's funeral. She sang it as a farewell to her daughter. Her daughter had been murdered by an ex-boyfriend stalker. @DawnMelodyMusic , its about a 7th grade boy who is given a "project" by his social studies teacher. Kids basically hold no value because they have no real way of impacting the world. The project is to think of a way you can make a difference and put it into action. The young man choosed to do 3 random acts of kindness. It has to be something those he helps "can't" do for themselves. They can't pay him back, they have to pay it forward. Watch it, can't reveal any more than that for you!
On Dece.12, 2011 GOD called another Brilliant Angel to his kingdom. My daughter Shayla was in her 3rd year of University and wanted to become a Social Worker, helping others who were hurting. @stretch4859 I just watched the same CSI N.Y. and it reminded me of the Pay it Forward song. Just HAD to come here and hear it again. Beautoful song. And Yes ....the movie makes me cry everytime!
I usually never cry at movies and this one was an exception. Every time I see the ending, I cry. I cannot even count how many times I have seen it and cried. It is so inspirational and it really makes a person think about something more than themselves. Lots of love to this song, the movie, and to everyone else who reads this. May we all try and find the confidence inside to do good no matter who it is for, whether it be a close friend or a complete stranger.
i lost a friend in car accident month ago,i cant believe that he is not here and that i will never hear his voice again that is just not fair. But one thing i now that he is in better place now with all angels ,for reason he left us becouse God needed one more beautiful angel in heaven,it is hard to think about it but what God gives God takes.I love you and i always will !callin all angels♥

@uncledeadly1st As long as it doesn't take away your hope, you're not 'death', are you! I think nothin' can stop you doing good deeds, if you want to...Why stoping doing good, for what? To let the evil win, to become evil too and to take IT away from the others! Don't!...
I like this song. You know, it just makes me cry every time I watch the movie. And I don`t usually cry because of a song. It`s just something with the whole setting in the ending scene...
a very sad, thoughtful song. Makes me rem thoses who no longer walk with us. A classic no matter how u look at it. Peace and remberance to all who have passed on.
I have lived with my tbi for so many years i don't know what normal life is. In recent monthes my seizures have been getting worse. I am very tired. my mememory is failing me. i can't remmbe to do simple things. i am losing years of my mememory and can't get them back. I am tired i am in so much pain and i feel so alone.
@13Bee1 You don't know America at all - just slams from people who hate her. I'm American and I love my country. If someone is in trouble in a foreign land and they see the Stars and Stripes coming - they are so happy.
by really listening to the lyrics of this song and understanding them ok.Take on these wrds of advise from some-1 who has had allot of heart-ache ,and hard-ship in her life yet i'm still here as a kinda pay it forward. You will learn hunny u r only young, but never point out 1 country that is ignorant when there r so many countries in the wrld, and especially when this song is not really about that,it's about love and trying to make this wrld a so much better place then what it is 2day k god bless
out on their luck, without asking for anything in return,it's about trying to come to terms with death, loseing some-one so close to you that u wld trade yr soul for to see them again. It's about loseing yrself at some point in time, and having some-one come along and save you giving you another chance at life and u takeing it with both hands and then u halping some-one else.doing it with out payment or reward or acalades or fame or fortune. as u said u r only 15 & u do have allot to learn. Start
to my 15yr old fellow Australian,I'm 43yr's old and i think that if u really look @ darl u will find ignorance in every country in the wrld not just America hun, even dare i say it here in the GREAT LAND DOWN UNDER,but this song is not about ignorance darl read the comment by aileewiley from 5mnths ago,she has a grasp on what this song is about,it's about trying to love one anothre more, trying to accept tings that we cannot control, trying to help one another out especially when people r down &
@MrLazarus535 wow, take a chill pill bro! I'm a 15 year old Australian girl, I'm not ignorant, I don't claim I know everything! I am still forming my opinions and knowledge of the world, but even my SOSE teacher talks about the USA's ignorance of other cultures. I have friends from America who even joke about it! You need to take a look outside the rock you've been living under, because it's pretty sad the way you responded and what you said. You should be more mature and knowledgeable than me.
@2039marl I don't know everything, but I do know some things. And that was one of them. I have been to America, I love it there. Really, I do. I love the people there. I have friends from there. I'm not saying it isn't a great country, it is. But even the greatest of countries have the greatest faults. Who can deny that? :]
@13Bee1 Of course it has "faults" - what country doesn't - is yours perfect? Doubt it very much. America is a country that was founded on an idea - that of freedom for the individual - is there any other country that can say that? Our problem is not keeping people from leaving, but from people wanting to come here. We must be doing something right. Because we're big, we've become the punching bag for those less successful. If there were no America, the world would be a sorry place.
@2039marl Oh God,I tried to be nice to you but now I can see you are just a patriotic twat with no regards or respect for other countries. You see America as the centre of the world, with the most importance and you think the sun shines out of its ass. Every country has it's big faults. Including mine, yes. Yet you are perfectly willing to point out every one elses faults but you're own.Typical. You're extremely ignorant to say that the world would be a sorry place without America. I pity you.
@13Bee1 Thought you were reasonable, but apparently you're just another America-hater. You know nothing about history or how America represents the freedom of the individual. (Your reply does not distinguish you in any way as well.)
@2039marl Thought I was reasonable? Then why did you not show that thought in your reply? That is absolute bullshit, because all you went on about was how America is so great, has no faults and the world would be an awful place without it. You didn't even acknowledge the fact that I said I LOVED America and the friends I have there, so don't you dare start to call me an "America-hater" I know nothing about history? Yes, that's why i'm studying history in school. You are an ignorant idiot, sir.
@2039marl pppffftttt.....Lovable my ass!!! I live in the US of A....and i ain't no american....I'm proud to say, america SUCKS ;) ...wait...sorry your right, america is love..americas definition of love=(bomb the crap outta foreign buildings and homes and schools and things that matter, and save blowing up any military bases cause with out the military bases they won't fight back, america wants them to fight back) LOVE...then your totally right, america constantly shows love to areas like Iraq!!
@rhcpwolf Yes - so awful - that's why half the world wants to come here. Grow up and get lost - America doesn't need haters like you. People like you just take advantage of her. There are millions who would take your place - Dope.
@2039marl shit....i'd be more than welcome for some to take my place. but hey, look im not tryin to get on your bad side, and i apologize if i do. but im simply stating my opinion and how i feel! i have nothing against you.
@13Bee1 im in the usa i hate how some ppl can be such morons, and so freaking rude about anything, i beleive in spirits and when i go in the paranormal section on yahoo answers some ppl can say such nasty things to ppl that beleive, but the ppl that do beleive just ignore them and in the nicest way they can answer the ? about spirits, seriously ppl, why must you be so freaking rude?
@MrLazarus535 that is exactly the point, you were never taught that because you don't bother to learn about other countries. that and the fact that we aren't ignorant of other countires. i love america, i love the people there. I have friends from there. like i said even they joke about how you guys don't know much about other countries and how they live. why do you reply to me with you idiotic bullshit 3 months later?
@MrLazarus535 Stop it! this songs about the film pay it forward, I expect anyone here to be commenting on how we should all be peaceful not on how crap and ignorant other countries are... and I'm only 12....
@13Bee1 Hello Australia from Texas!!! Don't worry not all Americans are like that (too many I fear now though). I have always wanted to visit Australia, if I can ever find the money I will do it. I find that guys argument about America being a melting pot of cultures pretty shallow, there are lots of different cultures but they often don't "melt".
@flyboy126 hey flyboy, why do you find my comments "shallow". We are a nation of different cultures since our founding. No one was promised a rose garden when thet came to America, just the freedom to grow one. I lived in N.Y.C. and we had people from all over the world living together, and it was great. I never had a single person ( out of 12 million, speak poorly of someone because of their culture or where they came from. Shallow means " lacking in depth of knowledge or thought." You have both
@13Bee1 If that was the case America would be a much more united place. Now let's see how much abuse I take for that even though I fully support my country, I'm just not so ignorant as to believe we are without our bad spots like all countries.
@13Bee1 Let me apologise for being rude, but ,please come to America and visit our people before you pass judgement on us. Don`t let your sose teacher or your" friends" form your own opinion of my country. There tends to be alot of bad things said about Americans these days by people who have never been here. some of it might be justified, but alot of it isn`t.
@MrLazarus535 i have been to america i love it there =) I want to visit many more places there though! but america is great. i never wanted to demean or insult your country, but like all countries, there are faults...and we just happened to be having a conversation about them and people took a lot of offense. and my sose teacher is a very wise old lady, she is from poland, she is very knowledgeable of the world, she is fantastic so i don't appreciate you thinking that she's just judging.
@MrLazarus535 but i accept your apology, it's okay. that's super super nice of you. i understand how you might get offended, but i think you should relax and realise that all countries have their faults, and that sometimes people are going to point them out but that doesn't mean they don't like america as a whole.
I`m so sick of the slam of George Bush, as if he had any choice but to avenge the 3000 innocent people slaughtered by those radical Islamists who where planning these murders for years before he became president, You can stick your head in the sand if you want, but, when you come up for air, they will still want to kill you
walk me through this world, don't leave me alone, so apt, i almost fell apart, i almost traded life, because i wanted to be with my baby, but somehow I had the strength to carry on, i had a wonderful child that needed me, i watched this movie it made me feel so lucky to have held my child in my arms, and if anyone feels like they can not go on, you can, you must for the sake of everyone, i now at every chance i get pay it forward, no matter how small it makes a difference <3
anybody see the episode on "6 feet Under" when all the women gathered around the mom (i think or was it the sister) but anyway all the women sang this song and I still rent that episode just to hear them sing this song it was so beautiful!
I like Jane siberry's video...it speaks and tells a lot. Thanks Jane...trying to "walk through this one...trying, hoping, crying and still not very sure" of the future. That's all our human condition. Vic from France
This song literally played through my head throughout the entire candle ceremony last night. I don't know if you heard it too. Forever in my heart. Taylor Alissa Steele<3
Sorry Bob 857 is this a question for me ? This is the loss of my son I was referring to and the her was his daughter, my granddaughter. Yes Although this pain is ongoing and I expect it to always be there but in that pain I pray for peace and comfort from my Heavenly Father as only he can give. In our love and missing of my son I know we can comfort one another in a way perhaps no one can as he was blood of my blood and she is blood of his blood . Thank you Bob for your prayers.
Peachesbnn23 .... thank you for the prayers and kind words. I know we are not alone is the sorrow we feel and I trust God to bring the confort we need to get through. That does not mean we not feel pain in our loss. But in that pain I reach for HOPE and In GOD I find it .. I guess if I did not feel pain my heart would grow cold and I dont want that. My tears are because I miss my son and I always will. Thank you for your prayers and understanding. My prayers to al who suffer such a loss.
I cried when i saw this in the movie.Im from the US but after reading about those poor young souls in Norway I searched it out today and i find myself tearing up again. what a beautiful yet sad song.Norway, we are praying for you.
I just saw this movie for the first time and really finally got it at 31. It's so sad people like my ex who still loves me and I him who just refuse to hope because they get so used to their routine just like Kevin Spacey said when he said don't leave me in here. Men are taught to be so tough and if they ever get hurt they're supposed to put up a tough face and hold down the fort. I met my soulmate when he was 38, 20 years of routine alcoholic binge drinking, and he won't see I'm his last way
This song always brings back memories of my Father, from the first time I ever watched it. He will ALWAYS be the greatest man I've ever known. He died January 8th 2002. I stopped asking if the grief would ever lessen. Then June 23rd 2011 my father in law died. He was a wonderful man and tried hard to be there for me after my Dad died. I hope that he and my Father are together in heaven. I will miss them both so very much. This song is my dedication to them.
recently lost one of my best guy friends to a horrible death on the 12th june 2011. after his school ball this song reminds me so much of him and where ever he is i hope the angels are looking after him i love you so much, RIP DAVID PATRICK GAYNOR xxxxx
I've recently lost a close friend to a heart defect, my aunt and uncle died in a car crash a week later and my grandpa died a month later from old age. This song helped me get through it. Don't ever take anything for granted people. Life is too short.
"I guess it's hard for people who are so used to things the way they are - even if they're bad - to change. 'Cause they kind of give up. And when they do, everybody kind of loses."
@angwillcutt I use Real Player, but you have to have version 10 or 11. Be sure to enable the automatic download feature. Once you have, a small window will pop up whenever you mouse over any video, asking if you want to download it.
Respond to this video... This song always makes me tear up but I adore it --- so lovely!! In six months I lost three good friends, my mother's best friend, and two of my friend's lost their mothers; it was a very difficult time for me, but this song helped.
R.I.P Baby Caylee, Baby Conor, Laci Peterson <3 An to all those who we have all lost. Fly High, Sing With The Angels <3 Keep Shining Never Stop! We love you
This song sums up my cry unto the heavens when my little boy died...
...and now when it plays in my heart, I know there is someone calling for help as I once did, and I wish I could wrap my arms around all hurting souls. I do my best to be there for others. Please be there for others. You are being called, too. We walk through this world together. Not alone.
@enVme731 UM...Train's "Calling All Angels" wasn't a cover of this song. It was their own song. They are two completely different songs and have nothing to do with each other. Have you heard Train's song? The lyrics (apart from the title line) are nothing llike this song. But you are right about one thing... this song is AMAZING, no doubt.
R.I.P jesus ontiveros always on our heart i just cant believe people can kill for a color and kill inocent people like you that you didnt have nothing to do with it we will miss you brother feb131992-june19-2011
I too have this movie as it really touches your heart so much , but it would help if we could continue the legacy of helping those who need it the most for for who have lost a loved one or those you have that is sick, lets pay it forward and help, hope and share our love around the world, light a candle for we lost from an illness that cant be helped, please PAY IT FORWARD.
SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SONG,EVERYTIME I WATCH PAY IT FORWARD I CRY SO DEEP WITH IN,A HURT ,I TO LOST A SWEET SON HE WAS CALLED HOME AT THE PRECIOUS AGE OF 8 YEARS,I KNOW HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE,YET I MISS HIM ALL THE TIME,TO SOMETIMES HOLD A LOVE ONE IN OUR ARMS NOW AND THEN WOULD BE WONDERFUL N TO C THEIR SWEET FACES.R.I.P.TO ALL WHO HAVE GONE ON,U R MY HERO TYLER,FOREVER YOUR MOMMY.

I lost my son in Jan the day before his birthday. He was my boy although he was a man and a daddy, he promised me when he was a young teen he would always be moms boy and he was. Not a mama s boy in the sense some may think but a special bond we felt with one another. I miss him so badly, it has been 5 months and I dont know that I ll ever not cry. Crying has become my new companion. He has a teenage daughter and she is hurting so bad, I dont know how to help her when I can not help myself.
@meha45s You have to pray, find comfort in knowing that he is in a better place and one day you will meet again. Just know that you're not alone and God will carry you the rest of the way. You can tell his daughter that too. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! Have FAITH!!!
i cried watching this movie and the words are so strong i lost my son 3 years ago to a drunk driver, never smoked or did drugs and always helped people the best he can always brought a smile to everyone, he also had watched this movie and liked it a lot so this song means a lot to me

@NickOleThunder: I am so sorry my dear... I'm so sorry you ever had to experience that loss and pain.. I lost my two year old son to Leukemia in 08, and this is my song to him.. My hope and prayers will be with you hunn.. Just remember that you had an angel on earth, but now he's just in Heaven watching over his beautiful Mother.. Just waiting to see you again. <3
My dad suffered a stroke last year and when i heard the news i jumped in my car and this song was playing. I played it to and from the hospital for the next 10 weeks until he passed away. Gave me peace Gave me hope. In the end still gives me faith
I've listened to this song what seems like a thousand times. It is very beautiful and I love Jane's voice. At first I thought it was a sad song but after listening so many times I came to think of it as a song of someone's wedding day. Was this song about someone's wedding day?
In the darkest hour there is always an opportunity to shine your light on the world and make someone feel special. Life is precious and too often we take the people we love for granted. It is great to see that the world has embraced international pay it forward day - a reminder of the power of giving and the difference that we can each make. From what we get we make a living; from what we give, we make a life. Pay it Forward Day - changing the world one good deed at a time :)
@TypicalChloe Those who hate, are those who need our love the most, pay it forward with a simple smile, or even just a thought, seeing the light within every soul you encounter.

2039marl 4 months ago
@2039marl I don't know everything, but I do know some things. And that was one of them. I have been to America, I love it there. Really, I do. I love the people there. I have friends from there. I'm not saying it isn't a great country, it is. But even the greatest of countries have the greatest faults. Who can deny that? :]
13Bee1 4 months ago
@13Bee1 Of course it has "faults" - what country doesn't - is yours perfect? Doubt it very much. America is a country that was founded on an idea - that of freedom for the individual - is there any other country that can say that? Our problem is not keeping people from leaving, but from people wanting to come here. We must be doing something right. Because we're big, we've become the punching bag for those less successful. If there were no America, the world would be a sorry place.
2039marl 4 months ago
@2039marl Oh God,I tried to be nice to you but now I can see you are just a patriotic twat with no regards or respect for other countries. You see America as the centre of the world, with the most importance and you think the sun shines out of its ass. Every country has it's big faults. Including mine, yes. Yet you are perfectly willing to point out every one elses faults but you're own.Typical. You're extremely ignorant to say that the world would be a sorry place without America. I pity you.
13Bee1 4 months ago
@13Bee1 Thought you were reasonable, but apparently you're just another America-hater. You know nothing about history or how America represents the freedom of the individual. (Your reply does not distinguish you in any way as well.)
2039marl 4 months ago
@2039marl Thought I was reasonable? Then why did you not show that thought in your reply? That is absolute bullshit, because all you went on about was how America is so great, has no faults and the world would be an awful place without it. You didn't even acknowledge the fact that I said I LOVED America and the friends I have there, so don't you dare start to call me an "America-hater" I know nothing about history? Yes, that's why i'm studying history in school. You are an ignorant idiot, sir.

@13Bee1 Hello Australia from Texas!!! Don't worry not all Americans are like that (too many I fear now though). I have always wanted to visit Australia, if I can ever find the money I will do it.

MrLazarus535 1 month ago
@MrLazarus535 i have been to america i love it there =) I want to visit many more places there though! but america is great. i never wanted to demean or insult your country, but like all countries, there are faults...and we just happened to be having a conversation about them and people took a lot of offense. and my sose teacher is a very wise old lady, she is from poland, she is very knowledgeable of the world, she is fantastic so i don't appreciate you thinking that she's just judging.
13Bee1 1 month ago
@MrLazarus535 but i accept your apology, it's okay. that's super super nice of you. i understand how you might get offended, but i think you should relax and realise that all countries have their faults, and that sometimes people are going to point them out but that doesn't mean they don't like america as a whole.

My tears are because I miss my son and I always will. Thank you for your prayers and understanding. My prayers to al who suffer such a loss.
