I got 0.8 mbps consistantly with Clear it sucked and was getting worse of course because people on the cheap were buying in my area...Garbage dont get Clear

Folks really should consider holding off on wasting their pennies on 4G phones. They're better off waiting until late 2012 or better 2013. This technology needs a lot more time to evolve. More importantly, carriers aren't really operating at 4G technology from a true technical standpoint. 3G technology is smooth and fast even for rich cell based internet experience----as long as your phone is decent and you are using the phone where you have strong 3G signaling.

anyways my thoughts on this discussion. Im sure LTE is pretty well preserved in its meaning towards the best mobile standard but i believe wimax will help me out more later in the future since i know wimax will be much much faster later on than it is now. Besides, its cheaper since you have dedicated internet service provider servers rather than regular servers taking more heavy load

@mman200 yes. and I just got my new 3g4g (4g+) Series S USB Modem. Better connection Mgr. Responds Much faster. I also upgraded my home modem for the new Series G. Works really good when I lay it on it's side. I also sell Clear on my part time. So if your interested in knowing more hit me up and we can talk. You Get a lot more then just internet with CLEAR.

@PapaJay224 Dude your info is all wrong WiMax is 4G because before that it was 3G and 2G and 1G. LTE is Long Term Evoloution which doenst even meet all standards to be considered 4G and it really is just 3.9G. LTE formal name is 3GPP which is used alot among GSM/GPRS cell carriers. Also WiMax runs on 2.3Ghz,2.5Ghz, and 2.7Ghz. While LTE uses a lower freq of 700Mhz which is old analog tv.

Why don't you keep to the stuff you know, like rapping and DJ's, and stealing cars. If you read anything other than G up magazine you'd know that LTE trials have pulled speeds almost 3 x WiMax. WiMax was said to be 3.9g by ALL experts NOT LTE. Even in recent interviews Dan Hess said he knew his move to 4G via Wimax may not have been the best, but they wanted to be the first. So good, you sound smart, but you shouldn't trash talk when your wrong, you'll look stupid, more so than your hair cut.

@WallStreet913 700 mhz, just because its old analog tv doesn't make it useless, its just not useful for cable tv anymore. Does that mean you cant use it for voice? To me it sounds like transmitting data and voice should move faster to 91 million people than 15 analog video broadcasts to 250 million people. Use math not meth pony tail.

@WallStreet913 True 4G technology will be 1 Gig/sec... That's a requirement to meet 4G... Wimax doesn't do that. No technology does. Everyone just calls LTE, Wimax, HSPA+ 4g because they are so superior to the old 3G networks. LTE also uses a wide range of frequencies. There's something like 22 different bands ranging from 700Mhz-3Ghz
