It seems like at one point RDJ was deeply offended by Zach (most likely by Zach's quasi-abrasive sense of humor, which I personally can't get enough of) and felt justified in being openly rude/hostile to him. Which in turn annoyed Zach so he used that as justification to continue (or to a greater level) mocking RDJ inwardly. Which RDJ senses and, you guessed it, takes offense at. These two could have been great friends but at some point something triggered a downward spiral in thier interaction.
