The world banking SYSTEM is currently an uncontested monopoly, ARTIFICIALLY structured on the assumption of “deposits” as bank “liability” and “loans” as bank “asset”, with the value of any actual disposable collateral relegated to the sidelines. This artificial assumption gives the dubious but all pervading acceptance of the concept of “interest” (usury). An EXTORTED THEFT SYSTEM. False compounding debt in exchange for a man’s life.
National Accounting is above politics, above partisanship and above socio-economic theories. Accounting is what it is - period. Ask you accountant what party he votes for. It's irrelevant to the way he keeps your books.
@sternumagnum you go on the premis that balance is a center point only, yet true balance is a natural flowing thing not tricked by outside influences and very seldom at a exact center point balance but rather a fluid movement that is naturally always striving for balance but actually in a natural state of continously adjustment. The government has only one job to prevent outside artificial sources from cheating the natural system. As power corupts government will always be corrupt given power.
@TheTime4solutions Sorry but balance is balance - at any point in time. If we take a snapshot right now of nat'l accts we will most definitely know if they're in balance or not (most probably not). The "fluid movement" are the inflows and outflows; the snapshot shows if the net flow over a certain period of time, e.g. one yar, is balanced ot not. (We usually take a snapshot every end of the month and of course every end of the year.) Balance IS the center point though always strived for indeed.
@TheTime4solutions There are no "artificial" sources of funds. There is only the exogenous source of the gov't, vertically adding finc'l assets onto the private sector. An accounting fact.
As to the gov't being corrupt, yes it is by definition (every powerful institution usually degenerates into corruption) but this does not mean we give up on gov't! Instead we strive to make it as transparent as accountable as possible. "Democracy would be the worst system if it weren't for all the others."
@sternumagnum Republic is the only system that a free sovereign human as I am will consider. Democracy is dicatorship for I always am on the lower 49% and am always forced against my will much the same as a lower beast or slave to do immoral acts of subserviance to the proclamed 51%. Count me out. If you insist to have goberment because of your great fear/cowardice and lack of confidence in other sovereign humans let it be a Republic whose only purpose is to protect "individual"
@TheTime4solutions Never understood the difference between the two actually! One is a Greek and the other a Latin term - with the same meaning, "rule of people". I'm guessing by Republic you're referring to a democratic system whereby the majority has limited power than usual and minority and individual rights are more protected. Guess what, this is all fine to liberals like me! But I never heard from a libertarian any kind of sound economic policy - just nonsense about the gold standard...
@sternumagnum well as a sovereign human i defend my individual right to not be steriotyped into some nitch group. I am only me and only represent me i as that noone atempt to represent me without my permission preferably a contract with agreed upon terms of participation and terms of termination. Sound economic policy is not appropriate to talk about in the middle of a world intentional collapse. .
@sternumagnum The free market is not centraly planned or controled it needs not a plan for its plan is naturaly occuring. The distortions and tital waves and unbalances occure from singular monopolies For example a river that flows naturaly is better than a river that has a bunch of manmade dams. You would say if i propose taking down the dams i need a new plan for the river i would say its not my position nor is it a good idea to disrupt the natural flow.
everyone is dwelling on all the bullshit in america, attacking eveyone, everything except th root of a lot of crap..,.Thats hip hop, go to rikers, whos there hip hop, whos disrespecting to the max, hip hop fans, disrespectful, arrogant, cynical human beings... disrespecting woman, woman, woman, .No one will address it, why whoopi goldberg will start a revolution against you..
@akaskyscraper "If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."
Final, finally. I hope to have instilled some hope. I would die for all of you rather than die to help kill all of you. Cannon fodder springs to mind. I have poured my heart out to you all. Youre strangers. If i can do it you can.
Finally remember, and this is very important, that this message must reach the people of other civilisations. So any broadcasters out there you know what to do. Go pirate if you must. We got a lot to do. So please if you wanna save you're loved ones and have God bless, a family, then act now.
HUMANITY NEEDS U (BIG POINTY FINGERED MOUSTACHED MAN)!!!!!!!!!!!
Let us use human nature against them whoever they are. We dont even need to identify them. Though we could. WE should just let them no WE no longer stand for it. They can return to society and amend their ways. But in secret, it must be that way. They can scheme if they will but in our world not theres, that way well be better off n free n not feel guilty about commiting murder.
. Another thing dont be scared, safety in numbers. As nature was intended to each us before it was blanketed by our needs. Sorry their needs. They take advantage of them n turn them against us. Call me a liar if you like. Call me a nutter if you like but i will endure the ridicule even the danger if i must. But i will not kill. We need to stand up and be counted. NOW!!!!!!!!!!! Together we stand. Divided we fall. Spread the word, if you wanna help like has been said b4. Not just on here.
Our education system badly needs vetted. So many of us r being swept under the radar for the benefit of the few. Remember one thing. We are the mob. Not all of us can grasp this info easy. But those of us that can. Its our duty to teach them how to handle it like the wisemen of our ancestors did. Imagine that. Also the few are scared. They know were on to them. However they are still human beings. To this end we should show mercy as we would be hypocrits otherwise.
Im finally acting myself. Cant divulge my plan. Im acting at last. Lets just say i can fight fire with fire. Knowledge is power. Peace to all. I love you fellow humans n i wanna help to save you.
But it is even more immoral and greedyful if you won´t let the so-called "unproductive" in Society to become productive and flourishing thru your un-
believable greed and "protectionistc" madness.
Just let the people prevail free as they were born from their mothers: namely fully free.Stop acting like some thrifty jackass.Free people can think free.
i agree with your first 2 sentences to start; However if you are an american, when your parents sign a certificate of live birth and apply for a ssn for you, you then become incorporated and are bonded in an agreement with the us gov.Dont believe me find out why those documents are in all capital letters but we dont sign our name that way.
The majority of the "unproductive" members of society are "unproductive" because the the state has in place a system that prevents them from being productive.
The minimum wage - Results a large portion of unskilled workers to remain unemployed. Over time the unemployed become the unemployable.
Welfare programs - Taxes used to subsidize these programs result in private employers having less money to hire productive workers. A welfare check does nothing but teach the the massestorelyonthegov't
Im impressed by the increased level of awareness of late. Nice analysis of the decayed social system socialdtk. Hit the nail on the head. Im productive, also im not American. Im Scottish. I am skilled and love to learn and i would like to share my gifts to help humanity. I cant though.
The reason for this is im kept down by a judgemental system of a hole lecturers who aint perfect themselves.
i agree partially with you maxtoz. Needs to be more thought out though by people who can properly assimilate information, Distribute that info. Advise what to do with it.

What most people don't seem to understand is that unless you happen to be in that same league with those self styled patriots like Bush and Cheney, who are putting their investment dollars in Paraguay and Dubai, your ignorance is what they're counting on. They divide and conquer; we all lose. Then kiss your Audi bye-bye, because you'll be on a bicycle.

You haven't heard? EW&F and Stevie Wonder are the White House band they party every night. Obama is a joke. He has it all figured out. When we go down he blames it all on Bush ( Bush never blamed anything on Clinton). He restructures the political system and turns us into a socialist country with more gov. control. With this he has a majority of the voters dependent on the government and we know how they vote. Rahm Emanuel says always take advantage of a bad situation & they have.
Its real simple.Cut out all the forigen aid, shut down 3/4 of the bases in 150 plus countries.Just maintain the ones for strategic purposes. If the countries want us to stay ,make them foot the bill.Open up the oil we have in Alaska and let a govt committee watch over it so no funny business goes on.Let America grow hemp and use it for fuel, and tax it..
Heard on the news, California would get 1 Billion a year in taxes if it was legal, and that would also shut down the drug cartel, and the funding for terrorism, and it would stop the strain on our prison system of 7 million people
.Let the non-vilolent crimianls out(considering it cost 60k plus a year to house them)Put them in a work program to farm or help the homeless. You could house them in some of these empty houses,(3x60k=180k)One year from being out of jail, would pay for the house they are staying in.What a relief this would be on the tax payers.Ill stop here but i have plenty more ideas. All it takes is a little common sense.
Thats the letter i sent to my senators ..dont let up on them..Hold them accountable..My state is very conservative and our elects are going with this scam..Wth is up with these ppl, they must not care what we think,we have got to vote these people out of office.
Were going to be in soup lines while Obama and his fearless tax cheat Adm. is figuring out how to squeeze the shit out of us and make a $ off it. They will be having a party with steak and fried chicken while the Earth Wind and Fire play in the background. You better get ready Obama is like a bad reality show.
@sternumagnum ok ill atempt to respond, a extortionist and theif who steals from his crime family. Immoral extorted theft called tax imposing Govment then cheats itself for personal gain, money and power to the installed sold out whore puppet who pose as representitives in a Republic.
I don't think that's a completely fair assessment. From what I've seen and read, he has a nuanced view of Rand- basically, that she has some good philosophical and political ideas, but that he strongly diverges from her in some key areas, particularly her advocacy for preemptive war and the like.
No, I don't think so. For one thing, he is exceptionally candid about his political positions in campaigns; one of the main reasons he doesn't have a chance in general presidential elections is that he absolutely REFUSES to pander for votes. Moreover, he has referenced Rand in his writings before, he more or less quotes her on racism as collectivism, and he clearly DOES agree with her on many points, eg. limited government, free markets, etc. That said, they do have substantive disagreement.
He is one of the most candid politicians I have ever seen if not THE most candid. Still he ran for public office, we agree to disagree. But speaking more for myself than Paul I absolutely do not respect Rand at all and believe she is a Nietzsche fraud.
I think Rand's moral philosophy is fundamentally wrong to a great degree. However, it does overlap with what I believe to be a correct sociopolitical ideology in a number of places. She advocated a more or less libertarian system, and Dr. Paul, of course, is one of the strongest adherents to a sound libertarian ideology that I have ever encountered. As such, I don't find it hard to believe that he has some level of respect for Rand, especially as he says as much, which means a lot in his case.
government spending=creating new money / raising taxes on producing individuals to give $ to special interests of elected officials. this devalues the savings held by citizens as the currency is inflated causing loss of purchasing power.
there is an ideological struggle occuring which is never named: do you support and wish to protect the inalienable rights of the individual person OR do you support top down collectivist centralized operation of the economy by the federal gov and fed reserve?
The media sensationalizes every thing. I see nothing but a market correction. There is a lot of fake capital out there. Most of it in digital form. Accountants are easily corruptible. They became accountants after all for the big bucks. Their greed gave them the determination to take all those English classes in college. LMAO!
March 4/09 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Chairman Sheila Bair said the DEPOSIT INSURANCE FUND COULD DRY UP amid a surge in bank failures, as she responded to an industry outcry against new fees approved by the agency.
Without these assessments, the FDIC could become INSOLVENT THIS YEAR, Bair wrote in a March 2 letter to the industry. U.S. community banks plan to flood the FDIC with about 5,000 letters in protest of the fees, according to a trade group.
what if all the real estate agents in the U.S were one day issued an exclusive monopoly by the government to charge their customers not just a 1 time commission of 6% on the selling price of the home, but a legal mandate to charge a 6% PER YEAR commission on the selling price of the house FOR 30 YEARS(or until the house was sold again). That sounds crazy doesn't it?
What would that do to home prices? Make the price skyrocket! But thats the
scam the banks are allowed to get away with, isn't it?
Interest is payment for the privilege of using their money. You don't have a right to that money. You didn't earn it. It doesn't belong to you. Loans are not a right, but a privilege...so why should you get them for free? If you don't like it, then don't get a mortgage. There is nothing that says that you have to get a mortgage to own a home. Save money and pay for it outright. Can't do that? Then get a mortgage...or rent.
C6R "privelege of using their money"????. THE BANKS DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY! Thats the point! Do you understand fractional reserve lending or debt money creation? Money is created with your signature on a promissary note(loan). The bank system then can create at least 10 times the original loan as credit(or money) to loan out again, ad infinitum. More importantly,
The INTEREST ON BANK LOANS IS NEVER ISSUED INTO EXISTENCE.
The TOTAL outstanding loans cannot be repaid without reborrowing!
In any normal business that fails, it's the stockholders who ultimately wind up having to account for their business decisions.
The only thing different here is that, when a very large country that has, for so long, relied on its wealth and power to overcome all those idiosyncratic differences in its diverse population, when the shit finally hits the fan, everyone starts to lose faith and heads for a different corner. Then the system itself breaks down.
....... and in order to prevent that, the issue isn't about bailing out the businesses, it's about preserving the "illusion" to the public that the system is still viable. (Pay no attention to the man man behind the curtain.) If the general population realized the system were to no longer be functional, there'd be chaos in the streets. This "bailout" is just a smoke and mirrors campaign to keep people "believing" that we have a functional system.
.... why does anyone think that Bush suspended "posse comitatus" and allowed LRADs to be used on a civilian population? Those bastards knew they were fleecing this country, they knew they couldn't manage a candy store, and they knew that once people found out about it, the people would be pissed. Now they're using our tax dollars to buy weaponry so that any time someone wants to exercise their 1st Amendment rights, they're labelled as a terrorist. The terrorists are in Washington. Burn it down.
Why are we paying interest to banks for our currency and credit? What does the federal reserve produce? NOTHING! What does the local bank produce? NOTHING! And yet you pay them 2 or 3 or 4 times the price(or value) of a house for the privilege of a bookkeeping entry for credit in exchange for your signature AND collateral(the house) and many years of your labor just for the godamned interest alone, many multiples of the actual value of the house! No wonder house prices are astronomical!
So lets stop bailing out the banks and wall street. Let them fail new companies will take thier place. Every so often the free market must purge itself. That's how it works
the free market is not free if the currency is not free. Purge the system of private monopoly debt based unpayable unissued usury(interest) money first and REALLY let the free market work. The current market is controlled by the bankers thru interest rates and debt service and functions as a mechanism to transfer the real assets and wealth of the true producers and workers to the parasites who issue the peoples currency. Why the hell do we let these trillionaires CHARGE US INTEREST ON OUR LABOR?
bulldogger, you hit the nail on the head! social darwinism! and that policy is reflected exactly in the monetary system. We suffer not from an expansion of the money supply but from ever increasing scarcity of circulating currency due to an ever greater % of the money supply that must be absorbed by debt service due to the attached interest(usury)never issued into circulation! The people in reality are STARVED of currency by the parasites, the bankers who PRODUCE NOTHING!
Hit the nail on the head. The mythology that somehow all of our problems are caused by welfare moms and drug addicted poor people seems to hold sway amongst the far right. However, I've got friends with the kind of education and smarts that' would have made them millionares by age 30 in my Grandfather's time. Now, they're chronically unemployed. What''s fucking "Darwinian" about that? Am I honestly supposed to believe that some rich kid who just crashed his dad's BMW
into a Burger King drunk on shitty beer somewhere is the pinicle of the American system vs. a guy who earned a schollarship to a good college, got a business degree with a sky-high GPA and NOW can't even find work, much less a career? Fuck that.
What exactly does "spending above our means" mean? What kind of quality of life do do feel people should have? Can a slave spend above his means? How about a producer who labors 12 hours a day 6 days a week or more for less than 2 dollars a day(50% of the worlds population or 3 billion people!) We have wealth transfer right now, from the producers and workers to the parasitic non producers, the owners of the debt based interest based privately held monetary and banking monopoly.
"The Government should create, issue and circulate all the currency and credits
needed to satisfy the spending power of the government and the buying power of consumers. By the adoption of these principals, the taxpayers will be saved immense sums of interest. Money will cease to be the master and become the servant of humanity." Quote from Abraham Lincoln who caused to be issued the debt-free interest-free U.S. Greenback dollar, denying the
Ron Paul is wrong. The problem is NOT government printing money. The problem is the government BORROWING money from the private federal reserve system with interest attached WHICH IS NEVER CREATED! MEANING THE DEBT(principal plus interest) can NEVER be paid back in full without re-borrowing! The government could solve this financial crisis overnight by issuing into circulation Sovereign non parasitic debt-free interest-free tax-free currency equal to the annual production of the nation.
This wouldn't make much of a difference since we are still spending above our means, our country is still bankrupt, we are still borrowing from China and this is all due to the American empire that our government is so persistent in maintaining.
Don't count on it, he's been asked that question 10 times in the last week and he said he probably won't and that he hasn't given it much thought. Jesse Ventura 2012
I agree with Ron Paul and support him just as much as any of his followers, but when he says "It's immoral to transfer wealth from the productive to the non-productive members of society." That is social darwinism, it's the ideology of the Elites that caused this problem, they believe if we are to stupid to correct this system and make lives better for ourselves then we deserve to starve and be out of work. The greedy fucks who have profited while others starved should pay the way now.
The government is the problem. If the government didn't over-spend or take control in the form of unnecessary bureaucracies, we wouldn't be in this mess.
I don't mind some socialist policies, but if we cut spending across the board, the deficit will decrease exponentially..
Now the reason rich people are rich is because they earned it, but to usurp the power of the people is something else entirely, and the government is taking that from us next.
I agree the deficit is a huge problem, and it needs to be addressed now, BUT you can't leave the poor and needy behind to end the problem as quick as possible.
As for the rich being rich because they earned it, I beg to differ, Bernie Madoff anyone ? People look to Warren Buffet as a model of success, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but he didn't accumulate that much wealth through legit business practices. Survival of the fittest, they rape, pillage, steal and convince us they earned it.
Warren Buffet gives millions of dollars to charity every year. He is in a financial position to actually make a difference. The average American taxpayer is not.
Ya, he's charitable, like Rockefeller is a Philanthropist, they said the same thing about Prescott Bush. I'm not saying middle class people making under 300,000 should have to pay for other peoples problems, not that paying a little more would "take food from the mouths of your family" it might drop your yearly trip count from 3 to 2, but that's isn't as important as feeding starving people, or looking after sick people, injured troops anyone ?
I'm saying the countless millionaires should be paying big time for their years of greedy, all these people got rich off derivatives, predatory lending, etc, they should be picking up the slack, call it socialism if you want, but if your profiting off others misery, trapping them in debt so you can live a lavish life, that is immoral. In order to atone for their greed they should have to take a back seat while those who have been suffering for YEARS get some relief.
Transfering wealth from rich, greedy pigs who see you as a parasite isn't immoral, why would you defend these people, they caused these problems, all these corporate lobbyists that caused all this overspending through needless wars, etc are scum, my loyalty is too human beings, not some phony ideal solidified by scary terms like "class warfare", AMERICA #1, USA, USA, USA. They are manipulating you, Ron Paul sticks to his principals, and his are better then what Obama, but far from perfect.
What Ron Paul advocates is not the transfer of wealth from one class to another. He realizes that doing so will accomplish nothing. Poor people will stay poor if they don't have the skills or intelligence to manage their money no matter how much the government gives them. In essence the question becomes why should we take away from the person who knows how to manage his money well and give to those who don't. There would then be no incentive for people to manage their money effectively.
Letting people starve and die, allowing genocide to continue because we have an over population problem isn't moral, population isn't the cause of poverty, rich evil people that traded slaves, operate child factories over seas so they can increase profits, fund rebels in foreign countries to keep slaves in check at the diamond mines, this is the reason for poverty.
If the evil elitists weren't sucking the life blood out of entire nations the people would be better off, why would someone want to be trained to make shoes in a factory for 10cents an hour, when they could get rid of all the evil exploiters in the world and live prosperous ?
That model might hold up if we were actually talking about long-term welfare cases. Unfortunately, we live in a society where a CPA or an Engineer who've lost their jobs are quickly labeled as "failures" by libertarian net trolls who think that their system is somehow "Darwinian".
I think you misunderstand, it's not about survival of the fittest. It's about moral hazard and encouraging irresponsible behavior. Those CPA's, etc. you refer to would do just fine in a true market economy. The fact is, there are those in the banking and finance industries who are spewing their disease into the rest of the economy to create the illusion that we're all in this together. In fact, anyone who is willing to work for a living would recover from all this downturn relatively quickly.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
We've had a true market economy before and the reality is that it's made things worse. We're not even just talking about down and out steel workers anymore. The problem has spread to highly educated and highly skilled white collar professionals as well. You and those like you increasingly sound like victims of cognitive dissonance to me. The idea sounds great on paper, but it hasn't ever actually worked. But, because it's basically a philosophical issue to guys like yourself, not a practical one
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
you just knuckle down and say "Well, pulling out most of the regulations didn't work.. so it must be the fault of the damn liberals.. we'll just have to get rid of ALL REGULATIONS! That's the ticket!".
I understand that "The World Is Flat" is pretty much a religious text to you, but perhaps it may be time to consider the idea that it hasn't ever actually worked out so well when applied to real life. I'll remind you that his kind of inflexible thinking is what sunk the U.S.S.R as well.
We havent had a free market economy since the Federal Reserve and National Income Tax were put in place in 1913. Study your history on your own. Don't read high school textbooks
you fucking twat, you would send us right back to the 19th century wouldn't you because that was oh so wonderful for the working man, woman, child, slave etc. please, at least read you high school textbook.
Well that philosophy "that hasn't work" allowed Andrew Jackson to balance the national debt and was the ONLY president in history to ever do so. Now I'm not advocate for complete gold-back standard because I know that gold is scarce and therefore easily manipulated but the answer is definitely not to give the power to print money in the hands of private central banks (ie the Federal Reserve). The free market has been absent ever since the Fed was allowed control the value of the dollar.
You are mistaken. We haven't had a market economy in my lifetime. Perhaps those on the left have been successful in convincing gullible souls that is the case. In the main, this argument is practical, not philosophical. Does it benefit society, as a whole, to have a financial elite, who are protected from the consequences of their irresponsible behavior and pass their losses onto the backs of the poor and middle class?
A libertarian who gives a shit about poor people? Your obviously a communist space lizard. Ayn Rand said that it's perfectly ok to shit on poor people, didn't you get the memo?
But seriously, I'm a very serious student of economics. If you want to see a "free market" check out the really fucked up places in the third world where the government's to weak to regulate anything. See how great they're doing. Dr. Paul would put 50% of the country out of work overnight. Ologarchs would buy everything.
It's happened before. Look at Russia after the fall of communism. The entire country went from 2nd world repressive state to 3rd world mafia owned XXX disney-land overnight due to almost total deregulation. They went back to totalitarian rule just to restore order. But still, if you want to persist with voting for Ron Paul, I'll happily pimp out all your female relatives on the new market economy.
You know those idiot lefty types who always defend communism when you bring up Stalin or Mao by saying things like "That wasn't real communism!"? that's you. A paper idea falls apart in real world application, some people can't handle it, so they redouble their efforts, believe harder, not understanding that the problem is not the momentary corruption of an ideal, but that the ideal will always be corrupted in practice no matter what.
If Stalin hadn't taken power, despite what many idiots will tell you, Trotsky may have even done worse. If the markets were to magically be turned into your "true" free market over night, and even if you hit the reset button somehow and unseated the current crop of MBA criminals from their executive chairs, more would only rise in their places, and we'd all get to experience about two centuries of Reaganomics in the span of a weekend. The "Free market" would become a true ologarchy.
i respect your opinion, and being a youth my heart certainly goes out to the unfortunate, but I think that your view of the average American tax payer is skewed. Their is a good argument for handing out money to those who need it but realistically that can only help out in the short term. I rather train the unproductive to become productive than give them a hand out. As hard as it is to swallow, world poverty is directly caused by over population and regardless of govt that'll never change.
Your statement is social darwinism, over population ? What do you suggest we do too solve that, oh wait, the Elites already have a plan for that, mass extermination, Eugenics is evil, PERIOD.
Why should I have to pay for someone who made a bad decision? Why should I have to take food away from the mouths of my family to pay for the mistake or misfortune of someone else? It's immoral, period, and I think that's the point Dr. Paul is making. The only true greedy fucks in this country are all in Washington D.C. passing 800 billion dollar bailout packages to buy worthless assets at the expense of the taxpayer.
if ron paul were president all our problems would be solved and i wouldn't have to worry about giving away 50% of my income to those that piss it away "buying" houses they can't afford
Too bad he didn't get elected President. Since Obama got the thumbs up instead, he should have made him Treasury Secretary. But then again, that would have just made too much damn sense. Also, it would've been great to have seen Jim Cramer get appointed to head the SEC. That would also make too much sense.
Why didn't Ron get all this exposer when he was running for Pres? Now he is everywhere. He is a part of this, he is the ying to the yang. Now they are spreading his word to bring more confusion to the people. America, your government has been taken over by INTERNATIONALISTS, they want to crush you to bring in a one world government. When this happens, satan has taken over full control. These "politicians" are worshippers of satan and they want this to happen. They will kill you to get it.
The press treated Ron Paul like a silly old uncle. The Power High politicians hire PR men & sell themselves with lies and promises and 'hope' when the situation is hopeless. Ron Paul tells the truth, a rarity in these days where politicians feel they can make better personal, health and work decisions than you. The government actualy believes they know whats best for us in our daily lives. What scares me is giving 900 million dollars to Hamas while making deals with Putin to rein in Iran. Wow
If 8% of people could "potentially" lose their house due to this crisis, and the approximate mortgage liabilities total around $10 Trillion, why does Krugman say we'll need a stimulus of about $3 Trillion (30%) over the next three years?
How does up to 8% turn in 30%?
Why has the Fed already made commitments totaling around $9 Trillion with their TARP program?
This isn't a housing crisis, that's how. Its the collapse of a global ponzi scheme... and your being misled by the media.

Private sector balance plus government sector balance plus external balance (incl.Imp.Exports balance) equals zero.
Ergo, if the ext.balance is zero (or negative) and the priv.sector wants to be positive (in SURPLUS), then the govt has to be in DEFICIT.

(We usually take a snapshot every end of the month and of course every end of the year.) Balance IS the center point though always strived for indeed.
sternumagnum 1 month ago
@TheTime4solutions There are no "artificial" sources of funds. There is only the exogenous source of the gov't, vertically adding finc'l assets onto the private sector. An accounting fact.
As to the gov't being corrupt, yes it is by definition (every powerful institution usually degenerates into corruption) but this does not mean we give up on gov't! Instead we strive to make it as transparent as accountable as possible. "Democracy would be the worst system if it weren't for all the others."
sternumagnum 1 month ago
@sternumagnum Republic is the only system that a free sovereign human as I am will consider. Democracy is dicatorship for I always am on the lower 49% and am always forced against my will much the same as a lower beast or slave to do immoral acts of subserviance to the proclamed 51%. Count me out. If you insist to have goberment because of your great fear/cowardice and lack of confidence in other sovereign humans let it be a Republic whose only purpose is to protect "individual"
TheTime4solutions 1 month ago
@TheTime4solutions Never understood the difference between the two actually! One is a Greek and the other a Latin term - with the same meaning, "rule of people". I'm guessing by Republic you're referring to a democratic system whereby the majority has limited power than usual and minority and individual rights are more protected. Guess what, this is all fine to liberals like me! But I never heard from a libertarian any kind of sound economic policy - just nonsense about the gold standard...
sternumagnum 1 month ago
@sternumagnum well as a sovereign human i defend my individual right to not be steriotyped into some nitch group. I am only me and only represent me i as that noone atempt to represent me without my permission preferably a contract with agreed upon terms of participation and terms of termination. Sound economic policy is not appropriate to talk about in the middle of a world intentional collapse. .
TheTime4solutions 1 month ago
@sternumagnum The free market is not centraly planned or controled it needs not a plan for its plan is naturaly occuring. The distortions and tital waves and unbalances occure from singular monopolies For example a river that flows naturaly is better than a river that has a bunch of manmade dams. You would say if i propose taking down the dams i need a new plan for the river i would say its not my position nor is it a good idea to disrupt the natural flow.

What most people don't seem to understand is that unless you happen to be in that same league with those self styled patriots like Bush and Cheney, who are putting their investment dollars in Paraguay and Dubai, your ignorance is what they're counting on. Ron Paul is cool. Ayn Rand sucks balls, I've spoken to Paul about this when he came to New Mexico. He doens't like or respect Ayn Rand at all.
Sheogorath64 2 years ago
I don't think that's a completely fair assessment. From what I've seen and read, he has a nuanced view of Rand- basically, that she has some good philosophical and political ideas, but that he strongly diverges from her in some key areas, particularly her advocacy for preemptive war and the like.
TrentSteeele 2 years ago
He says that in campaigns so that he doesn't loose the lunatic ayn rand supporter vote.
Sheogorath64 2 years ago
No, I don't think so. For one thing, he is exceptionally candid about his political positions in campaigns; one of the main reasons he doesn't have a chance in general presidential elections is that he absolutely REFUSES to pander for votes. Moreover, he has referenced Rand in his writings before, he more or less quotes her on racism as collectivism, and he clearly DOES agree with her on many points, eg. limited government, free markets, etc. That said, they do have substantive disagreement.
TrentSteeele 2 years ago
He is one of the most candid politicians I have ever seen if not THE most candid. Still he ran for public office, we agree to disagree. But speaking more for myself than Paul I absolutely do not respect Rand at all and believe she is a Nietzsche fraud.
Sheogorath64 2 years ago
I think Rand's moral philosophy is fundamentally wrong to a great degree. However, it does overlap with what I believe to be a correct sociopolitical ideology in a number of places. She advocated a more or less libertarian system, and Dr. Paul, of course, is one of the strongest adherents to a sound libertarian ideology that I have ever encountered. As such, I don't find it hard to believe that he has some level of respect for Rand, especially as he says as much, which means a lot in his case.

But thats the
scam the banks are allowed to get away with, isn't it?
debtfreecurrency 2 years ago 2
Interest is payment for the privilege of using their money. You don't have a right to that money. You didn't earn it. It doesn't belong to you. Loans are not a right, but a privilege...so why should you get them for free? If you don't like it, then don't get a mortgage. There is nothing that says that you have to get a mortgage to own a home. Save money and pay for it outright. Can't do that? Then get a mortgage...or rent.
C6R 2 years ago

BR549guy 2 years ago
....... and in order to prevent that, the issue isn't about bailing out the businesses, it's about preserving the "illusion" to the public that the system is still viable. (Pay no attention to the man man behind the curtain.) If the general population realized the system were to no longer be functional, there'd be chaos in the streets. This "bailout" is just a smoke and mirrors campaign to keep people "believing" that we have a functional system.
BR549guy 2 years ago
.... why does anyone think that Bush suspended "posse comitatus" and allowed LRADs to be used on a civilian population? Now they're using our tax dollars to buy weaponry so that any time someone wants to exercise their 1st Amendment rights, they're labelled as a terrorist. The terrorists are in Washington. Why are we paying interest to banks for our currency and credit? What does the federal reserve produce? NOTHING! What does the local bank produce? NOTHING! And yet you pay them 2 or 3 or 4 times the price(or value) of a house for the privilege of a bookkeeping entry for credit in exchange for your signature AND collateral(the house) and many years of your labor just for the godamned interest alone, many multiples of the actual value of the house! the free market is not free if the currency is not free. Purge the system of private monopoly debt based unpayable unissued usury(interest) money first and REALLY let the free market work. bulldogger, you hit the nail on the head! social darwinism! and that policy is reflected exactly in the monetary system.

Greenback dollar, denying the
parasitic bankers of "tribute" on usury loans.
debtfreecurrency 2 years ago
Ron Paul is wrong. The problem is NOT government printing money. The problem is the government BORROWING money from the private federal reserve system with interest attached WHICH IS NEVER CREATED! MEANING THE DEBT(principal plus interest) can NEVER be paid back in full without re-borrowing! The government could solve this financial crisis overnight by issuing into circulation Sovereign non parasitic debt-free interest-free tax-free currency equal to the annual production of the nation.
debtfreecurrency 2 years ago
This wouldn't make much of a difference since we are still spending above our means, our country is still bankrupt, we are still borrowing from China and this is all due to the American empire that our government is so persistent in maintaining.

The greedy fucks who have profited while others starved should pay the way now.
bulldogger 2 years ago
The government is the problem. If the government didn't over-spend or take control in the form of unnecessary bureaucracies, we wouldn't be in this mess.
I don't mind some socialist policies, but if we cut spending across the board, the deficit will decrease exponentially..
Now the reason rich people are rich is because they earned it, but to usurp the power of the people is something else entirely, and the government is taking that from us next.
kikkoman1231 2 years ago 3
I agree the deficit is a huge problem, and it needs to be addressed now, BUT you can't leave the poor and needy behind to end the problem as quick as possible.
As for the rich being rich because they earned it, I beg to differ, Bernie Madoff anyone ? People look to Warren Buffet as a model of success, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but he didn't accumulate that much wealth through legit business practices. Survival of the fittest, they rape, pillage, steal and convince us they earned it.
bulldogger 2 years ago
Warren Buffet gives millions of dollars to charity every year. He is in a financial position to actually make a difference. The average American taxpayer is not.
painet1776 2 years ago 2
Ya, he's charitable, like Rockefeller is a Philanthropist, they said the same thing about Prescott Bush. I'm not saying middle class people making under 300,000 should have to pay for other peoples problems, not that paying a little more would "take food from the mouths of your family" it might drop your yearly trip count from 3 to 2, but that's isn't as important as feeding starving people, or looking after sick people, injured troops anyone ?
bulldogger 2 years ago
I'm saying the countless millionaires should be paying big time for their years of greedy, all these people got rich off derivatives, predatory lending, etc, they should be picking up the slack, call it socialism if you want, but if your profiting off others misery, trapping them in debt so you can live a lavish life, that is immoral. In order to atone for their greed they should have to take a back seat while those who have been suffering for YEARS get some relief.
bulldogger 2 years ago

Letting people starve and die, allowing genocide to continue because we have an over population problem isn't moral, population isn't the cause of poverty, rich evil people that traded slaves, operate child factories over seas so they can increase profits, fund rebels in foreign countries to keep slaves in check at the diamond mines, this is the reason for poverty.
bulldogger 2 years ago
If the evil elitists weren't sucking the life blood out of entire nations the people would be better off, why would someone want to be trained to make shoes in a factory for 10cents an hour, when they could get rid of all the evil exploiters in the world and live prosperous ?

That model might hold up if we were actually talking about long-term welfare cases. Unfortunately, we live in a society where a CPA or an Engineer who've lost their jobs are quickly labeled as "failures" by libertarian net trolls who think that their system is somehow "Darwinian".
deadpool03mm 2 years ago
I think you misunderstand, it's not about survival of the fittest. It's about moral hazard and encouraging irresponsible behavior. Those CPA's, etc. you refer to would do just fine in a true market economy. The fact is, there are those in the banking and finance industries who are spewing their disease into the rest of the economy to create the illusion that we're all in this together. In fact, anyone who is willing to work for a living would recover from all this downturn relatively quickly.

But, because it's basically a philosophical issue to guys like yourself, not a practical one

you just knuckle down and say "Well, pulling out most of the regulations didn't work.. so it must be the fault of the damn liberals.. we'll just have to get rid of ALL REGULATIONS!

Lyndehouse 2 years ago 25
you fucking twat, you would send us right back to the 19th century wouldn't you because that was oh so wonderful for the working man, woman, child, slave etc. please, at least read you high school textbook.

America's Gilded Age (1865-1901) was the most prosperous period in human history.
There. How's that, smart guy?
olmofo 2 years ago 9
Well that philosophy "that hasn't work" allowed Andrew Jackson to balance the national debt and was the ONLY president in history to ever do so. Now I'm not advocate for complete gold-back standard because I know that gold is scarce and therefore easily manipulated but the answer is definitely not to give the power to print money in the hands of private central banks (ie the Federal Reserve). The free market has been absent ever since the Fed was allowed control the value of the dollar.
alby711 2 years ago 4

Ologarchs would buy everything.
deadpool03mm 2 years ago
It's happened before. Look at Russia after the fall of communism. The entire country went from 2nd world repressive state to 3rd world mafia owned XXX disney-land overnight due to almost total deregulation. They went back to totalitarian rule just to restore order. But still, if you want to persist with voting for Ron Paul, I'll happily pimp out all your female relatives on the new market economy.

You know those idiot lefty types who always defend communism when you bring up Stalin or Mao by saying things like "That wasn't real communism!"? that's you. A paper idea falls apart in real world application, some people can't handle it, so they redouble their efforts, believe harder, not understanding that the problem is not the momentary corruption of an ideal, but that the ideal will always be corrupted in practice no matter what.
deadpool03mm 2 years ago

As hard as it is to swallow, world poverty is directly caused by over population and regardless of govt that'll never change.
painet1776 2 years ago
Your statement is social darwinism, over population ? What do you suggest we do too solve that, oh wait, the Elites already have a plan for that, mass extermination, Eugenics is evil, PERIOD.
bulldogger 2 years ago
Why should I have to pay for someone who made a bad decision? Why should I have to take food away from the mouths of my family to pay for the mistake or misfortune of someone else? It's immoral, period, and I think that's the point Dr. Paul is making. The only true greedy fucks in this country are all in Washington D.C. passing 800 billion dollar bailout packages to buy worthless assets at the expense of the taxpayer.

Because the "Elite" don't see him as a threat as much as he was to them when running.

Wow

Question:
If 8% of people could "potentially" lose their house due to this crisis, and the approximate mortgage liabilities total around $10 Trillion, why does Krugman say we'll need a stimulus of about $3 Trillion (30%) over the next three years?
How does up to 8% turn in 30%?
Why has the Fed already made commitments totaling around $9 Trillion with their TARP program?
This isn't a housing crisis, that's how. Its the collapse of a global ponzi scheme... and your being misled by the media.
