  • @sdmohmmad6 that is up to the pakistanis...they continue to do hateful things to India & keep reinforcing their resolve in more ways than one to destroy India. That too in the face of India & Indians werlcoming not only the great artists & players, but even extending hospitality & security & safety & comfort to the pakistanis like kasab & others who are working untiringly to destroy India in every imaginable way.

  • People it's about time we changed our mindsets to the 21st century we are no longer in 1947 and we are done with the bullshit of the "goras" all of us have paid dearly for it, but no more! • Please please please dont play with our emotions,, where is the rest of it,, please upload,,, please,, its a rare moments caught by camera,,, these are the real gems,,, please share with us...

  • @nadeem375 As you may have realized, my friend, Mehdi Hassan Sahab is ending the special program on millennium transition, 1999 to 2000. Unfortunately I dont possess any more recording of that program, and, then, I was very far from imgine taht one day I could share my recording with so many people ( youtube was created in 2004/2005). Thank you .

  • who is this one moron.........

  • the one who disliked it....

  • I couldn't listen this song without dropping tears even though I don't understand the meaning completely. What a masmeric voice and tune. Can anyone help me get its translation in English? Thank you.

  • Not only Jagjit Singh & Ghulam Ali ( I happen to know both of them for over 30 years ) but a whole generation of male and female singers have learnt from Mehdi Hassan Sahib's music. There is only one sun for our planet and similarly there is only one Mehdi Hassan Khan Sahib. Thank God for Khan sahib's music which has brought love and peace to millions of listeners worldwide.

  • @KDKAPOOR Happy with your sensitive, inspired and informed comment.

  • omg jagjit singh and ghulam ali in the audience wow!

  • @freedybox You are welcome.

  • "MOHAMED RAFI SAHAB was the only angelic voice this earth ever hear". Being myself Rafi Sahab`s fan, 100% agree with you. Thank you, my friend.

  • @musafir39 ..thats the most foolish comment and im also a rafi fan..you dont realize, Ustad nusrat fateh ali khan, ghulam ali, noor jehn etc etc. have presented this cinema with vocals what many people could only wish for..Rafi had the sweetest voice no doubt, but more intellectual singers as qawaal pakistan has produced singers that no other nation can dream of..the proof is in the quality of singers and the song..Pakistan is unmatchable when it comes to quality, these are the true facts bro.

  • @bagshitass sure beggars,, why come to india then..

  • @musafir39 How sad

  • I AM SORRY TO SAY BUT NO NO NO HE IS NEVER THE BEST GHAZAL SINGER. MOHAMMED RAFI . MOHAMMED RAFI SAHAB WAS THE ONLY ANGELIC VOICE THIS EARTH WILL EVER HEAR. WALLAHI MEHDI HASSAN IS NOTHING COMPARE TO MY RAFI SAHAB. NOTHING.

  • MEHDI HASSAN KHAN SAHAB IS THE BESt............ And RAFI SAHAB WAS STUDENT OF MEHDI HASAN.......

ok pehle pata kiya karo phr bat kiya karo

  • @515jack : There is not need to compare 2 legends. But I wonder people have so much limited knowledge of music as well as music history. There is a major difference between the career spans of both Muhammad Rafi and Mehdi Hassan. Mehdi hassan was first given the opportunity to sing on Radio in 1957.. Whie Rafi was active since 1945. He sang his first duet with Noor Jahan in 1947. and before the world could know the name of Mehdi Hassan, Rafi had Already sung "Duniya ke rakhwale" in 1952.

  • @KhurramDBG pls don`t compare anybody with the grtest mohd rafisaab. he is the a to z of music.

  • where is the rest of it?

  • @londoniran Perhaps in SAREGAMA`s archives.

  • may Allah give him good health...a true legend

  • @package919 Tank you for your kind comment.

  • Comment removed

  • Ustadon ke Ustad. Mehdi Hassan Sahab. He is one and only in ghazals in all over the world. Nobody can compete him. Salam to his greatness.

  • @gul903 Thank you, my friend, for your brilliant comment.

  • May God keep him in good health. He is and will always be the king of Ghazals!

  • @zsean Absolutely agree with you and I pray with you for prompt recovery of Menhdi Hassan Shaheb.

  • not only that.. stalwart of indian classical music.. Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan saab also sitting in audience...

  • @lakshakarbhaskar Thank you for your kind information.

  • NISAR BAZMI saab tujh ko salam hay aur KHAN SAAB ki kya baat hay

  • @nawabshaukat You are welcome.

  • Sonu is like a kid in the Candy store.Watch how is pays attention to the great Mehdi Hasa.

Sonu will evolve into one of the best singers of all times.

  • @badaustad Although Sonu Nigam is himself an artist, here he humbly pays his tribute to a great Master. Thank you.

  • Mehdi Saheeb truly is a legend both in ghazals and filmy songs. His voice is unique and soul touching. There is only ONE ofca kind. No one has been able to duplicate his voice or style. Great gift from God. Enjoy.

  • @narendralodhia You are right, my friend, Mehdi Hassan Sahab is unique and unimitable. Thank you.

  • no singer in india and pakistan ever had the soul, depth of feelings, control over singing as mehdi hassan had. His movie songs are equally great and soulful.

  • @shadabfirst Thank you, my friend, for adding so valuable information about Mehdi Hassam Sahabs career.

  • Mehdi Hassan has been an institution in the music world elevating Ghazal and Ghazal-singing to a level that no one did for hundreds of years.. He popularised not only the ghazals but also classsical music which he skillfully employed in his compositions.

We pray for his speedy recovery. NO ONE on this planet will ever come close to him.

  • @KDKAPOOR I am honoured by your rich, sensitive and informed comment. Thanks a lot.

  • Sonu Nigam elevated SAREGAMA to the heavens....To get. USTADs on one stage as in this video is an achievement itself..

  • @65naz1 Thank you, my friend, for your lovely comment.

  • The man who was singing basically giving lesson to all in front of him (THE GREAT SIR MEHDI HASSAN).... And every one was trying to understand the magical delivery of his words (observe this video if you can truly judge). But universal truth is no body can even copy to Sir Mehdi Hassan.

We pray for your health. Take very good care.

  • @aqeelnaseer Yuo are right, my friend, Mehdi Hassan Sahab is mesmerizing the assembly, creating the great moment of art when man forgets his condiion and "flies to the heaven on the wings of music". Thank you for your brilliant comment.

  • who's the man that sits the left to Mehdi, i mean the guy with his sandals on?

  • @bateau529 I am not sure but may be a participant in the Saregama contest.

  • @musafir39 thts sonu nigam..famous indian singer

  • @insinkerator Ok, my friend. I thought you were refering to the person behind Sonu Nigam. Thank you.

  • @bateau529 He is Sonu Nigam, the HOST.

  • You know its once in a life time moment when you have Jagjit Singh and Ghulam Ali in the audience, a young Sonu Nigam in the audience and the maestro Mehdi Hasan playing......the only two people missing are Ustad Nusrath Fateh ALi khan and Lata Mangeshkar. Such moments are etched in history. Gajendar Singh the producer of this show has always tried to bridge the gap between India and Pakistan through music, he deserves a Noble prize for peace if u ask me!

  • @volcanictruth 100% agree with you. Yhank you, my friend , for your luminous comment.

  • @volcanictruth ......agreeeeeeeeeed...kasam sy =)...cheers

  • @volcanictruth that is so true, once in a life time experience to watch every body in one video.

  • King of Ghazal MEHDI HASSAN Sab!

  • need videos of the episodes mehdi hassan was there yaar !! want to hear every word he said !!

  • @fuzzy3161 Unfortunately I don´t have any more detail about the presence of Mehdi Hassansaheb on Millennium Stage. Thank you.

  • This is call SaReGaMa show and now a days SaReGaMa Show is more than a Joke...!!! that was the time when Sonu was host of show and all Music Legend used to come on Show to Judge, and today only concentrate on TRP of show & SMS & Money. only Bullshit...!!! going on Show. pardon for my language but it really hurt. :(

  • @ask2ankit Since long I dont watch SaReGaMa, but I agree with you in the sense that, despite of technical and scientific progress, spiritually the worl is becoming poorer and poorer. Thank you.

  • @ask2ankit

    Well said janaab.

    Those were legendary days.

    Now its all commercialized.

    Sad but true.

    thanks for the upload though.

    Regards from Pakistan

  • @ask2ankit 100 agreed...........LOL

  • @intensity1988 nahi yaar, ghulam ali khan sahab ko kon bhool sakta hay...

  • kia baat hay yahan to barray barray ustadon k ustad tashreef farman hain mashalla

  • @petriot512 Mere dost yeh millennium mehfil thi, jahan par shirf mashhoor fankaron samel ho shakte the. Shukriya.

  • bagshitass,

Mehdi Hassan ke galey se Khuda gaataa hain (thus said Lata). Ghukam Ali learnt from Bade ghulam Ali Khan. No doubt these are the best male Ghazal Singers. Mehdi Hassan is No1.

But, Mehdi HAssan is Indian (born in Rajasthan and learnt his music there) and so was Ghulam Ali in undivided India.

If they chose to stay in US does he become American?

Khair...you will never understand what is Indian or Pakistani...Aapka desh bhale his pakistan ho aapka culture Indian hain...

  • @pkhsnl ..nahi bai, india ke culture me mootar peete hai aur ghai etc. ki pooja karte hai, ye hamaara culture nahi..Aap indian kisi excuse me hamare artist ko apna banaane ki koshish karte ho..ghulam ali aur mehdi hassan ke dil mein pakistan ka pyar he pehla, baad me sab kuch aur..india is no match for pakistan in classical music, ye app accept karlijiye..aap log pakistan ko60 saal me nehi accept kia, aur ab humare gaane walo ko indian banaa diya

  • @bagshitass abe chootiye ye Classical music Hindu religion ka creation hai and is part of Hindu and Indian culture , islam mein music haram hai . The music terminologies viz Sur,Raag, etc and names of diferent Raags are Hindi or Sanskrit words. The language in which classical songs are sung is not Urdu or any Islamic language but our ancient Indian Language. Hamare culture ki baat karne se pehle apne culture ko seekh ke aa. pakistan ke ye sare artist hindu culture ko hi follow kar rahe hai.

  • @000kriminal ..are saale, hum musalmano tumh ko yeh sawaal ke bahut jawaab diya he, ye purani bakwaas he aapka.. sufism ke classical me ek apna or better classic hum ne paida kiya..aap ke hindu ki sanskrit zubaan india me ban he, its illegal to use it anymore..ye aap ke sab hindu maante he ke ye jo hindi zabaan, udru ki watered doen zabaan he..jao beta, sau jao ya hamare shaheen missile aap ke mandir me jaayenge..saala kaafir, aangrez ke koote..tumhari history hum jaante he, achi tara.

  • @bagshitass @bagshitass abe kaate lund south asia ka jo music hai uske basic sa re ga ma pa.......... hai these are the alphabets of hindi language and even suffi music is based on the same chk these frm ur suffi singers. abe music se door raho varna tumhara bina lund ka allah tumhari maa chood dega. Aur shaheen...lol roj drone missile thumari gaand main gus rahi hai . urdu was created from farsi and sanskrit . saying sanskrit is ban in india is like sayin jinnah is ban in porkistan.

  • @000kriminal .lol, another diluded hindu piss drinkler, bhai, urdu only contains 10 per cnt sanskrit, this is a universal fact in the world of language, where did you get your pissinformation from..lord shivas anus? lol, go to bed son, muslims rule the music world, you can drink piss and clean your rat temples, shit everywhere in your country, lol

  • @bagshitass music has no language and religion stupid !!!

  • Comment removed

  • @000kriminal music has no language and religion stupid !!!!

  • He is singer of millenium ......Pakistan should be proud of that man

  • @desilva2007 Absolutely agree with you my friend. Thank you.

  • I think ghazals start and stop with absolute beautiful people like Mehdi Hassan and Ghulam Ali. I have their entire collection of CD's. I cannot stop raving about it when I listen at home that my 12 year old has suddenly developed a strong liking to Ghazals....

  • Jagjeet singh doesen't deserve to be there..this raghead muthafucka claimed he was better than ghulam ali, claiming ghulam ustad could not do what he (jagjit) can do..ill say one thing now once and for all.. Indians will never match our artists, not now til the day of judgement, my disrespect is only for jagjit singh, who lives in bollywood dream world..real music comes from pakistan, my thnx to indian public who disgraced jagjit and in end had to apologise for his words.

  • @bagshitass You sound very jealous. I am not surprised. All these are great artists, and so is Jagjit Singh. The kind of language you are using here shows your inferiority complex. More than Ghulam Ali, it is Jagjit Singh who praises Mehdi Hasan on all platforms. He has held concerts to raise funds for Mehdi Hassan, invited his son to perform in India, released fund raising albums for Mehdi sahib.

  • @Hamlet150976 ..inferiority complex? maybe, you should answer the question in hand..i said this piece of shit claimed he was better than ghulam Ali..who is stupid enough to say that? jagjit singh cant even sing ghazal, what are you talking about, theres nothing great or even good about him..as for my issues, you dont know me therefore your propagation of me is bullshit.. you eveidently didnt see the interview in question, so keep your mouth shut, ass licking indian slave.

  • @bagshitass For your information, Jagjit Singh and Ghulam Ali are close friends. Jagjit Singh always says good things about Fareeda Khanum.

I think if you like music, then it is better to spit out this venom. Sometimes artists say certain things about each other, for example, Naseeruddin Shah recently commented on Amitabh Bachchan in a bit negative way.

  • @Hamlet150976 shah and bachan have nothing to do with it..i was talking about what this rahead was claiming..this asshole is anti Pakistani and has showed it before..in this video, look at jagjit singh, he cant even grasp when to nod his head to the beat, thats how much he knows nothing of ghazals, the man is lost in this video footage.. when you try challenging greats like ghulam Ali, you're either an idiot or he's having a laugh..both ways though, he's a fool.

  • @bagshitass It is not for you or me to decide who is right in this respect. We are not music experts. Jagjit Singh's contribution to ghazals doesn't need your approval. Regards!

And I am a Pakistani, so don't confuse my words. Jagjit Singh has millions of fans from three generations in Pakistan at least. Cheers!

  • @Hamlet150976 Pakistanis like you should be kicked out and sent to india, then when they fuck yourmom and sisters infront of you, you'll know the words of respect..my statement was about his statement, so dont confuse my words..you might not know shit about music, i certainly see myself as an expert, so stop chatting shit and get on with your life..my opinion was based on factual evidence, in form of an interview..where is yours? Prick.

  • @bagshitass Sir, what kind of language is this? You love music, know about ghazals--at least more than me--and the kind of language you are using doesn't suit any music lover. Any lover of Mehdi sahib and Ghulam Ali (greats in my opinion) cannot use such a language. We can discuss what Jagjit singh said (I have watched that interview) by criticising it positively. This is very aggressive attitude, and may be Mehdi sahib and Ghualm Ali sahib's ghazals haven't mellowed you down. No hard feelings!

  • that was the show of many stars...mehdi hasan, jagjeet singh, roona laila...sonu u r great man..

  • @raja007rwp Thank you my friend for your kind comment.

  • @raja007rwp yeah you forgot Ghulam Ali Sahib

  • when was this?? I can see all greats here in the video!!

  • @patnaikt This gathering was 11 years ago, in the transition of 1999 to 2000.
