  • With the right arm throw release where are you feeling it.Is it in the hands forearms, shoulders? Also,I am assuming the first move is the weight shift left. Do the hips move or arm is the right unit moving with the hips?

    Thanks

  • @secretogolf - right on the weight shift to the left, that's what triggers the down swing, and the hips moving trigger the arms and hands to drop, then you let gravity and momentum do the work swinging the club through impact.

  • @DJWattsGolf So is the right side or arm/shoulder unit doing anything but following the pivot ?As far as the hands go then I am assuming they just stay somewhat cemented at the wrists?

    Thanks for All The Info.

  • @secretogolf - I myself just try to feel the right shoulder dropping into the pivot of the down swing - and you want the hands and wrists to feel loose like boiled noodles, not stiff or muscular. Let the swing happen, don't try to muscle the club - gravity and momentum will move it.

  • @DJWattsGolf Thanks for the quick reply one other question I meant to include earlier.Austin seems to have his hips pretty open at impact ,really meaning his left.Is this how you perceive his swing at impact or is it just the camera angle or is he facing the ball.Seems to hold true for Mike Dunnaway also, the open left hip at impact?

    Thanks
