Thelonious Monk With Paul Jeffrey "Blue Monk"

I don't remember ever seeing video of this group, it must be some of the last footage of Monk. I like Jeffrey in this group (he's excellent here), and have a very nice record he made on his own back around this time. Wish he had remained more visible on the scene, and I understand he has unreleased tapes of a very late engagement by this group recorded in, in think, Raleigh. PLEASE share them, Mr. Jeffreys!

I sat in on a session with Mr.Paul Jeffrey about twelve or thirteen years ago at a community center and we "kicked" it as he was teaching a high school jazz group. I just happened to be there playing key board and he told me to : "keep it goin' . WOW what a most memorable occasion that was for me !
