  • Love this stuff. Can't get enough jack johnson and his musical friends

  • @Brybrytrudy you are absolutely right! Jack wrote this before he was a famous musician, just a surfer making a movie with the Malloy bros. about surfing, (Thicker Than Water) an excellent film btw. Jack would add little tunes he had written to it, and asked G. Love to play a song on it. Before it was released on his next album.

  • @ChrisCatton G. Love is good, but even better when playing w/Jack. I wouldn't mind see him joining the band, as long as not to take away from Jack himself. Their voices, along with Jack and Zach are great.

  • This was filmed at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, California. I was there and it was amazzzzzing!!!!

  • They rocked it in Mansfield, MA on July 10th!!!

  • "symbolic of change, but thing that is strange is that the changes occured, and now she's just a part of the herd." such a good song.

  • aint it the truth man.. Jack Johnson is beyond believable, honestly.. just a down right incredible lyricist.

  • @Drafter3 lol

  • lol?

  • they play together so unbelievably well. truly a type of talent that the world is starting to lose. bringing back the blues and the cross over. hell yeah great stuff. i can only dream of being as good as this.

  • where was this?

    x

  • Jack must ve gotten really hurt by a woman back in the day.its like the only way he can be so talented and know whats he talks about because this song is very truthfull reminds me of many crazy women i ve been with

  • g love wrote this song dumb ass

  • Jack Johnson wrote this song. He played this song for G. Love after they were surfing, G. Love liked it so he included Johnson on the Philadelphonic record. Look it up, it's true. I'm not trying to be an asshole, either. I'm a huge fan of G, and love Jack, too.

  • I think this song was written by Jack Johnson for G Love

  • you're on the right track.. Jack Johnson wrote it but it was back when he was still doing surf movies then. So G asked him if he could use it for his then upcoming album and they recorded a version together. It wasn't until later on in years Jack re-recorded his own version for his then upcoming album

  • Love these guys...love this song!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Well even if that is so you still gotta give Jack credit cause he is the who found them and put them on his lable!!

  • Actually, Tom Dumont helped Matt become famous, and Matt had already released 2 EPs and Songs We Sing before being signed to Brushfire Records.

  • gotta love them

  • 1:12

  • SO AMAZING

  • Amazing

  • G love wrote it. Gave it to Jack.

  • no:P

g love just loved this song of jack j. and played it very often and he always says that this song is jacks;)

  • i would believe g wrote it and gave it to jack if thats fact or not idono but it sounds like a song g would write minus the guitar solo that sounds like jack.

  • Jack wrote it before he was big and then let G.love use it for Philadelphonic in 1999. This song actually created the bond between them, leading to Jack's rise in popularity since G.love was already pretty well-known.

  • Also, Jack played guitar on the Philadelphonic album

  • G love has an... aqquired taste, but very unique music. Does anyone else view G love , Jack , and Harper like batmans ultimate alliance with all the super heroes, like these guys are always playing together. i dunno maybe just too much dope XD

  • Don't forget Don

  • they both have great voices; what the hell was he talking about.......

  • G or J ....they are just letters , just enjoy what has been offered here.... (o:

  • awesome (H)

  • yea dude there must be somethin wrong with you g love is a fuckin amazing singer!!! and if you dont think that theres somethin wrong with ya... if you dont think so go listen to him sing some blues n hits the notes

  • right on bro g love is fucking nasty, what a great fucking song... mad good combo, jack and g love

  • your annoyin as hell g love is the shit

  • at 2:38 when he whistles everybody shouts !

    EXCELLENT !

  • I think, that if you don't like the video... get off the page. Find something you do. Don't put us down for liking it. Find something for yourself, just appreciate the music. Not everything in this world is a competition.

  • 4 chords and easy melody...and it rocks, and thats the point!

their both awesome btw, seen em live.

  • they both fuckin rock

  • I heard G.loves version back in 1999 on the Philadelphonic album which is far from GOOFY, G. is a better axe man songriter, man the dude is the shit, O.K! JJ is alright just alright, radio freindly for bland people like you. Im glad he is there to introduse new people to the G-Man.

  • jack johnson bland? far from it

  • why? can you specify this?

  • maybe in a way, but his voice is so smooth and relaxing, to me he isnt bland but whatever thats just my opinion

  • Comment removed

  • well if you have ever seen g. love live he actually says that his friend JJ wrote rodeo clowns before he plays it...so yeah jack didn't copy g. love

  • he never did copy g. love, jack just did not originally put it on his current album, after tho he put it on his next

  • yer, jack put the song on g-loves album. jack wrote it but it was too early to release his own album, so he asked if he could put it on g-loves. its one of jacks oldest songs, yet didnt actually turn up again till on and on album. still an awesome song!

  • yea, he wrote the song when he was still just a surfer and got g love to play it for him cause they knew each other before jack was seriously into music

  • rodeo clowns is an amazing song and both g. and jack johnson are great artists, but i prefer g. love over jack johnson and will pick him over jj anyday. just his music is so much more original that jacks and he has his own personal style. jack just plays 4 chord surf songs that girls like. haha no offense to him at all because i have lots of both of their music on my ipod. but jack johnson did show this song to g. love in the beginning and g. love thought it was sick so they recorded it

  • much moistness in the crowd I'd bet.
