Backlund doesn't really get the credit he deserves from WWE anymore. Sure he wasn't as cool as Superstar Billy Graham (then again nobody was) but the guy was a hell of a wrestler. Great point! Backlund wrestled EVERYONE both in the WWF and NWA. His in ring skills were unmatched, he could sell when needed to, and for his time, had great mic skills. He should be in the Hall of Fame, and his matches should be watched by all up and comers

Sometimes, he looked awkward on the mic. I think he was honest and maybe too excited at times. But you also have to remember, he was one of those guys who really didnt have to talk much, even as the champion

Backlund doesn't really get the credit he deserves from WWE anymore. Sure he wasn't as cool as Superstar Billy Graham (then again nobody was) but the guy was a hell of a wrestler. I only really found this out when I came across some of his matches with Jesse Ventura, Pat Patterson and Stan Hansen. Up till then to me he was just that wierd guy who choked Bret Hart out for the title at a survivor series when I was a little kid.
