  • nice

  • this rocks!

  • Most consistent animation I have seen on youtube. Good work, keep it up, and God Bless.

  • You are the #1 best lego animator of the entire globe of all-time.

  • @TheMetalLasers I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm THAT good. Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy my animations.

  • @TheMetalLasers i would not say he is the best watch type in xxfancypantsxx

  • @TheMetalLasers

No, Keshen8 is the best. Bulldog's good, but Keshen kicks ass.

  • CaptainBulldog has always been my favorite animatior, his videos are creative and inspiring. And affan is a complete ignorant to not see that. Of course, guys like Keshen or Filmyguy do better animation but saying forrestfire is better than him is just ridiculos.

  • You must have used a LOT of goo-be gone after this! Great film.

  • will someone clean this crap off of me X)

  • how did u make a the dog??

  • @kostaapessos I sculpted the dog's head out of a polymer clay called Fimo, which hardens when I bake it in an oven.

  • @CaptainBulldog could u use crayola air dry clay??

  • how did u get the t.v??

  • nice

  • by far 1 one of the greatest lego brickfilms iv ever seen

  • @silents429 dude its BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!try watching forrestfire101, Keshen8 or fancy pants studios

  • @affan423

Sure Keshen8 and xxxFPxxx have better animations action and quality wise, but Jason Boyle has one thing that farly supercedes the rest of 'em: creativity. Look at all his videos. All of them are 100% creatively original and fun. Now look at xxxFPxxx:lego lightsaber battles -_-. Keshen8: Lego Batman -_-

This video is not bullshit, though I don't blame you if you can't comprehend a single word I'm saying.

  • @affan423

Oh, and by the way: forrestfire101 f*cking sucks.

  • @razorxxlego I agree with you all the way. excepti think xxxFPxxx has slightly better animation, although keshen8 is funnier.

  • @Llamasrockz

True, though there's different subcategories of "good animation." Filmyguy1 has amazing animation, cartoon-style wise. Jason has gifted animations, creativity wise. Etc.

  • @affan423 i have seen them i like there films but what you dont see in any of them is the creativity

  • LOL you really know how to use your clay. :)

  • Thanks! I've been working with clay for quite a while now...

  • Nice job it looks like they actually walk by there own.

  • BULLSHIT

  • @affan423 your mean

  • That was great.

  • awesome loons

  • Nice work. The lighting is so consistent. Great film.

  • Oh, you certainly need to check out sony vegas for that kind of stuff to save some time

  • its not an real tv, he used sony vegas to add another layer of video to a certain spot, nice video thoi

  • I don't use Sony Vegas, actually, I use the Gimp. And I don't add the footage as a video, I paste it as individual frames, which takes a while...

  • @CaptainBulldog how did u make that dog plz reply!

  • @legokid2324 @kostaapessos I sculpted the dog's head out of a polymer clay called Fimo, which hardens when I bake it in an oven.

  • a lego dog!?

  • you are really good at working with plastercine

  • Why, thank you.

  • cool

  • this video is amazing and its done with LEGO and a real TV it makes this video eben cooler

  • eben cooler? lol great video

  • Thank you this helps a lot. All the videos you make are amazing!

  • How do you put a video in a picture!? Please respond!!!

  • I download the video off of YouTube, then convert it into separate video frames, and then paste the frames one by one into my film frames with the TV. I use a program called the Gimp to do this, and even though it takes quite awhile to do, I have created a process that is quick, considering what I have to work with.

As I've mentioned before, I intend to make a video tutorial showing how I do this so it will be easier to understand.

  • 2:31 is the funyest part...look at his eyes! XD

  • REPORT TO BiM AT ONCE, BULLDOG

  • Why?

  • It's been a living hell. We miss you, man. :(

  • are you a partner on youtube?

  • No, I'm not a partner. I applied for a partnership, but I was rejected.

  • well apply again, youtube were idiots to reject you for asking for a partnership

  • I've applied three times already, and if I try to apply now it just tells me that my application is still pending.

  • Lol the noobie carver take like 1 hour to make then little kid just does it in like 3 secs

  • Yes the new captian buldog film this is so cool!!!

  • hahah dog watching tv this is better than spirt stompers and hid and suck

  • I love this - i'm glad i subscribed, I like how you did the bits where the pumpkin innards flew about, that was very clever :)

    Very good movie ;D

It makes me want to start animating again.

    What camera do you have?

  • The camera I used for all of my previous films was a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000, but the camera I used for this film was a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000.

  • is that just a webcam?? :o

  • Yup. Just a webcam. And a snazzy one too. :)

  • Haha, you say that - i think i have that very same webcam :]

Its definatly a logitch.. but i don't know what one! :l

  • The end was so unexpecting, its a bit like spidersocks asassin video. You would think the great carver is the man, but it was the dog the whole time, GENIUS!

    so subscribing!

  • LOL

    The dog is CB!

No wonder the dog does it faster!

  • I did the geese effect in the Gimp. I should really make a small video tutorial showing how I did it because it's hard to explain in a post. First, I drew the goose and made the animation of its wings flapping. There are eleven frames in the sequence which are then played backward, so the wing goes up and back down again. Then I resized the goose and pasted it into a file in the Gimp. The animation in the film has eleven geese and each frame in the sequence is pasted onto a different layer.

  • ^ *Mistake* the animation in the film has NINE geese.

With nine geese flying in different parts of the eleven frame sequence, it takes twenty layers before the animation repeats. So I lined up all of the twenty layers in the Gimp file, and moved them frame by frame in five pixel movements. When the kid walks into the frame, I pasted the animation frames into the background layer of the file.

I'm going to make a video showing this. It sounds a lot less complicated when you see it.

  • Thanks CB!

  • "We'll somebody clean this crap offa me?"

    Classic.

  • haha cool arm movement

  • did you use an actual lego knife to carve the clay pumpkin?

  • No, I mainly used a metal pin tool to carve it, but I lost it near the end of shooting so I used a mechanical pencil that was nearby.

  • this has been out for 1 day and already 476 views! I've been waiting for this to come out!

  • how do you paste the video on the tv?

  • I use VideoMach to convert the video into frames and then I paste the frames, one at a time, into the shot with the TV, using the Gimp.

When I have time I'm going to make a video tutorial showing my process.

  • such detail on the carving scene!

  • once again another great animation from captain bulldog!

  • After lik 2 yrs u finally make a new vid

  • That amazing.

  • technically brilliant

  • nice

  • Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • finialy a new captain bulldog film?!?!

  • Aren't your lego going smudgy for that? Always when I use clay with my lego, they are really hard to clean...

  • Awesome, Ive been loving all of your videos since i first discovered you in january 2008.

  • Wow not only was this a great Halloween film, but one of the best made lego films I've ever seen.

  • Ooh, nice geese! :D

  • wow, this video is amazing, the stop motion is also kinda different.

Do you still use 15 FPS or do you use more?

  • I still use 15 FPS. LEGOs are so small it's not really possible to use more than 15 FPS and still look good.

  • Puh, that makes me happy, because one day i want to make so good films than you, and more FPS would make that much more difficult.

  • this is awesome!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! that skeleton is hilarious!

  • This was very well made. The animation was smooth and u made the legoman move in ways that are very hard to do and not done very often. 5/5!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you think the ways that the legoman moved were unusual, just wait until you see my next film. (I've finished shooting it, but there are a lot of special effects I need to do).

  • I can't wait!

  • HA HA! Nice one!

    And Garfield! LOL XD

  • As usual: AWESOME!

  • great video man i loved it i faved it

  • A lot of fun! Thanks!

  • That was awesome! =D

  • 2:58 a master

  • Nice, but in the song where he carves the pumpkin, you should of put a drum beat in it. That would make it really good!

  • Adding drums is a good idea. I wish I'd had more time to work on the song, but I just learned how to play it last night, and I don't have immediate access to any music samples.

  • Oh right, I didn't know it was actually you, I thought you created it from a sound thingy. lol, that's really good then, nice work!

  • Yes you've got the Quickcam Pro 9000. Its awesome isn't it.

    Awesome video Jason.

  • It is awesome, Homerball. The lighting, colors and sharpness are amazing. However, I've been having problems with keeping the lightning consistent. Sometimes when a minifigure is moving, certain movements will drastically alter the lightning. I think it's the camera automatically adjusting, but I can't figure out how to stop it. It happens most often when a figure walks into or out of the frame.

  • lol, he went pumpkin carving crazy

  • ROFL!!

  • Bro, nice job.

  • One of you best All hallows eve brickfilms.

  • nice!i like the ending.! :DD

  • Nice work.

  • Really good vid and animations!!!

    5 stars and Happy Halloween!!!
