So, is Curse of Darkness a small & linear game? Or is it long, non-linear like Symphony of the NIght with a lot of exploration & secrets to be solved?

I can’t say I liked GOW, so if this the same deal, I think I’ll pass…

And most importantly is this actually a “CastleVania” game?

For Dracula, I had the laser blade equiped since it's the strongest of the one handed swords (takes many different weapons to create, but very much worth the trouble...it's the sword Issac uses in the 2nd battle against him), a cross helmet (took me several hours to get an angel halo), and Maximillian Armor. I let my Corpsey ID do alot of work with bone storm. I also used my Phoenix's Big Bang to deal massive damage to Drac's final form (at the cost of sacrificing Phoenix, but worth it).

here's a challenge if your not up for crazy mode but still want a real challenge: try beating the game with no armor equipped, accessories still can be equipped but there's no point equipping em unless you wanna reduce the damage taken from elemental attacks by 10% tops its designed to make ya rely on natural defense alone since my first file is max lvl with all weapons available i decided to challenge myself with no armor.

were you using the force glove? I never figured anyone other than me would use it on Dracula for the fight since there are more powerful weapons out there like the Laser Sword. oh and a tip for you, next time you face Dracula, stock up on potions and other healing items, those should help you stay alive all the way through the fight apart from that you did real good.

another tip I would recommend is to use the pumpkin ID for its insane attack and other status boosts on the last form of Dracula, it should make your hits much harder.

use the pumpkin mace on the statue of pumpkin.

create a pumpkin mace, then go to where you saw pumpkin's statue thing, equip the mace and attack the statue with the mace, pumpkin will revive and fight by your side from there, but take heed, pumpkin is easily 1 hit by even the weakest of opponents so dont expect it to pack a lot of damage by itself, what you should be worried about are the boosts to your stats, pumpkin boosts them 3 or 4x better than the devil type and pumpkin only evolves through certain weapons alone.

it can be but its highly recommended since pumpkin can give insane status boosts mainly attack and luck if your into rare item hunting or hitting insanely hard or both. getting the pumpkin mace for me the first time was a pain in the ass like stealin from death which I only pulled off once without getting killed soon after that.

well, I highly advise it since the pumpkin ID can be used for both offensive and rare item hunting like those pesky miracle eggs from the dark cores took 5 hours to get one with the rare ring equipped, havent tested with pumpkin id yet but I can bet ya anything it would be faster.

hes not the hardest one to steal from coincidentally, Death is actually the hardest to steal from now the second form of dracula is pretty hard to steal from since fast reflexes is very much needed to avoid that punch that opens his steal window which remains open for a brief second.

Death has an attack that you DO NOT wanna be in unless your either inside the Magic Circle or under the effects of Invincible Jar since the attack does tons of damage and the timing is very crucial, Death's steal is only open for a split second so you have to be right next to him, oh and dont worry about jumping, its not required to steal from Death. the trick is you want invincible jar to wear off right at the end of death's supernova attack by activating the vase at the start of it.

another tip: equip the best armor you can get, in my case it was the Maximillian armor which took several hours of grinding kills to get an angel halo to get.

When hector punches dracula it looks slow
