Actor Arun Sarnaik really seemed to be a good singer. It can be seen in his apt actions and lip movement. To be screened for this song on a close up is not easy. Arun Sarnaik really seems to be singing. Great Artist and salute to him. One suggestion: Nakshatranche dene should cover this great artist.

When I was a small kid, we lived in the neighbourhood where Arun Sarnaik used to live in Kolhapur. He has a house/relatives there, and it is called Sarnaik-waDa. People in that area called him Arun-rao and children Aru-Kaka. Very nice person and a true gentleman he was. He looked really very handsome, a true Maratha personality he had. Always humming a tune or other while walking on the streets. Everybody loved him. He along with almost all his family members died in a tragic car accident...

We lost a great artist and a wonderful human being in the untimely death of Arun Sarnaik. I watched him on Stage in Mumbai and then went backstage to meet him, of course I am a relative of another famous stage artiste therefore was priviledged to go backstage. I remember him joining hands in a Namaskar and making polite conversation.What a shame we had to lose him so violently and tragically. The loss is entirely ours, theatre&movie buffs I mean. Thank you girishvg for telling us about him.

Very few people know, that Arun Sarnaik was a very good singer himself. He had a great singing & speaking voice and was affectionately called "Man with the golden voice". The throw of voice on stage was a very powerful one. I personally loved him and all about him a lot & still do.

I remember, some years back I heard interview of Ga di Ma, in that he told story of how he created this song, when he first saw his grand daughter, first word flashed in his mind was "pratham tuj pahata jiv vedavala" and then he wrote this song for one of film producer.
