  • the one below me is mine :3 (no im not her dad) XD

  • Since my name is Jennifer my dad is obsessed with this song and he requested on the radio so much that the guys at the radio station will not let him call in anymore and request this song. I guess you could say he loves me.

  • nice.i learned something today.so the boyd sisters inspired both layla and this great song.and george's 'something' as well,i'd reckon.not too shabby, girls.

  • great pop song

  • This is such an adorable and sweet song. And he wrote it about his girlfriend. So cute.

  • wow i heard that at the simpsons season 22

  • 0:15 "jennifer, je n'est peur, c'est une vrai estelle " lol

  • i shall cover this, mark my words

  • Donovan kicks so much ass!

:) His music always reminds me of my dad who is absolutely obsessed with him.

  • That was nice. And yes, this was the very first time I heard the song, on Jan 16th on The Simpsons. I had heard the song referred to a book I have called Blackbird from the author Jennifer Lauck. Her Father Joseph (Bud) Lauck called her Jennifer Juniper,he died when she was only nine years old from a heart attack. She was born December 15th 1963. I was born in August of the same year. we're born four months apart.

  • isn't it interesting that all these men who said these women were the loves of their lifes, weren't in the end? As James Taylor sang, "Nothing lasts forever.."

  • I was a kid barely starting grade school at the time the time this song came out. Boy, is this song taking me back to my childhood.

  • Donovan, a great 60's artist!!!! Love this tune as an ode to Jenny Boyd, ace!

  • She left George Harrison for Eric Clapton Im telling you she had the pussy of the century. She was an extra in a hard days night.

  • @7294smk Mmmmm no, that was her sister Pattie, and maybe she had the pussy of the century because it worth it! :P

  • @7294smk .....

Pattie left George, because he cheated on her like CRAZY! And the only time she "cheated" was when they had already decided to breakup, so it really wasn't an affair, certainly not the kind George was having with a lot of girls, including Ringos first wife Mo.

But in the end George and Pattie ended up still being great friends <3 (:

  • @7294smk gross dude

  • @7294smk This one is about Jenny, you're talking about Patti. They were both pretty sexy, though.

  • Delightful video, fits the music well. Very well done.

  • Those must have been fun times... If you were in the right scene.

  • wow, when i first heard this song, I thought it was by Belle and Sebastian

    XD

  • brilliant

  • Heard it on The Simpsons, loved it :)

  • Jenny Boyd what a fuck she had to be.

  • They had a second Donovan track on an earlier episode "Weekend at Burnie's". "Where your love like heaven" is playin while Homer drives off to work high on medicinal marihuana.

  • This song was played in episode of "Simpsons". And there I heard it first time!

  • Bomb tune

  • beautiful song

  • i did hear this for the first time on the simpsons last night. as i was watching i said man does that ever sound like donovan. its amazing how much you hear his music in movies and shows lately. the other guys season of the witch is on. a few years ago on futurama they had atlantis somewhat.

  • Press Like if The Simpson Episode - "Flaming Moe" Made you search this song :)

  • I hadn't heard the this song in ages and suddenly Skinner and the new music teacher were skipping to it. I almost cried. lol

  • Like my comment if you're only here after hearing this song for the first time on the Simpsons tonight (1-16). lol

  • @utahminutemen Guilty. But I love the song anyway!

I love it when a TV show or commercial brings an obscure song out of history for a new generation to discover.

  • @zorinlynx same here. I love finding little obscure classics. this is how you bring back classics!

  • @utahminutemen Hahaa! i only saw that Simpsons episode on channel 4 2 days ago.. :D brilliant song though :D

  • I love this song and I will send it to you until Michael wears a purple coat with gold buttons. Love you both, Steve.

  • Worth a song definitely.

  • Flower power!

  • Really good video. Does the song justice. I always liked this song since i was a kid and had the 45rpm. Besides, it went well with a girl I had a crush on! Good job.

  • Comment removed

  • Damn.... lucky girl to have a song written about you...

  • Where did you get all these photos?

    They are fantastic.

  • presioso video!!

admiro a las 2 hermanas Boyd

pero creo q Jenny hacia un mejor trabajo q Pattie

  • LUVVV THIS SONG!!! LUVV PATTIE AND HER SIS!!

  • i love this song, and this video suits it perfectly! great pics, and graphics. if you do the french version, that would be great! also some pics of the visit to the Maharishi in India, that is where Donovan was with Jenny, Pattie, the Beatles, etc. Well done!!

  • LOVED her! Remember her very well living in Manchester back in 67; This song is precious, suits her so much. Way to go Donovan!

  • pattie and jenny boyd r my favorite woman in history!! they r both so pretty and i read pattie's book, and now i admire her even more!!!!

  • I think the photo at 1:19 (with the "thought bubble" and Donovan in it) is actually the French singer Francoise Hardy.....

Its the spitting image of her.....

  • Excellent. Had heard the story but nothing else. Good job. thanks.

  • god this song makes me weep ,reminds me of my late wife, she thought donavon was brill, oh yeh me wife was called jennifer.

  • I remember tis from "Election"

  • Bubblegum, pure bubblegum -- but delicious bubblegum nevertheless.

  • GREAT video for a lovely classic.

  • great song

  • Such a beautiful song....

  • Happy Birthday Donovan!!!! 5-10-2010

  • Do I love this song; so, so reminiscent of growing up in Manchester. Incredible memories, the pictures describe it all. Thanks so much for posting!

  • I love this song. Irony how this song is technically not named after her (of course its about her without a doubt). Her name is not really Jennifer, she's really Helen Boyd. When she began modelling she used the name Jenny, a nickname that her sister Pattie gave her.

  • @lordalessan Thats what I was thinking...

  • I think I'm in love with Jennifer

    (who wouldn't?)

    : o )

  • LAWL :D

  • I LOVE DONOVAN!!! :0)

  • forgot the song was about layla's sister

  • This is very cool! :)

    Great job!

  • Amazingly imaginatively delightful!

  • avec le "fin" a la fin je sans ke le posteur est francais :P

  • Beautiful tribute to a beautiful lady who inspired songs by legends. I admire Jenny Boyd very much, her sister Patty, and all those wonderful Sixties ladies like Marianne Faithfull-how I wish I could look like them. I love their style in that era. :)

  • @faeryquene Both Boyd sisters were beautiful and inspired beautiful songs but they left all these singers and were both tramps, sorry to burst your bubble.

  • @JJMFB1 You haven't 'burst' any bubble. I'm not in one. They were both tramps? How so? Did you know them personally? Did they sleep with your boyfriends?

  • @faeryquene, looking at your home page you spammed everyone, ones that said nice things about a government leach, you should comment it you are going to spam everyone, I'm still not sure if you are just gay or some dreamy eyed female paper-pusher.I'm old enough to see what the Boyd sister's did to men I can say they are low life tramps,I'm sure George and Eric and the hundred others loved how they were tossed away and broken hearted, get a real job and quit sucking at the tit of the people

  • @JJMFB1 I spammed everyone?? WTF are you talking about?? YOU'RE the one making replies at my remarks. I'd never even seen your username before you made replies at me. And what I am or what my sexual orientation is is none of your goddamn business.

  • @faeryquene Ladies please lets get along.

  • @faeryquene why did you admire them? For being groupies? Don't look up to groupies. Look up to women who were artists themselves not ones who slept with artists.

  • Thanks for song and terrific Jennifer Boyd "Juniper".

  • Would you do her,yes I would so.

  • @limatedmanLMAO! Hilarious.

  • did he slip LSD in her drink too?

  • haha probs

  • What she saw in that twat who thought he wrote The White Album, I'll never know.

  • really cool film

  • Rob with a b, very good insight, time is a powerful thing. They are old now, it is weird listening in the prime of the time here on earth.

  • And they're all old now. Whatever dramas and passions were swirling then are just memories now.

    Weird, that.

    But it's a cool song.

    Thanks for posting.

  • very nice! Well done! :-)

  • Charming :) One of my favourite Donovan songs.

  • Jennifer Juniper vit sur la colline

    Jennifer Juniper assise trés tranquille

Dors t'elle, je ne crois pas

Respire t'elle, oui, mais tout bas

    Jennifer Johnson

  • very nice, pass the wine please!

  • This song is so cool. Any guitar players out there? Very easy to master this song within D-A-G chords. Fun to play.

  • His best song.

  • Nice video.

I named my daughter after this song.

  • Absolutley smashing ! ~ BRILLIANT !

  • The words "Jennifer" and "Juniper" are etymologically identical

  • Loon, what does that mean?

  • means the words come from the same root or origin... probably early latin or greek

  • Great work!

It's a great song, and you really gave life to those stills!

  • this was really cute. you know how to make a good video with just using pictures. that's hard to do. great job. love the song. and no hard feelings about leaving the french out. haha. great job.

  • had to make another comment. this vid was probably done in the late 60's and was way ahead of its time. of course the 'mod' stuff is dated, but the transformation of j. kneeling on 1 knew below 3 standing girls from b&w to beautiful colors was trippy and very well done. way ahead of its time vid.

  • i was about 17 when this song came out and i still love it. i'd never seen the vid, idownloaded it. really good. if only it would continue to the end. oh well.

  • This song came out right when I needed it most. Puberty! :)

  • Reminds me of the 60's all the way. Cool bech song for the time then. =)

  • Those were the days .....! Great number and great clips to go with it.

  • geroge harrison dated her sister patti

  • Correction: He MARRIED her sister Patti.

  • kukskarsson said: "unnecessary post". maybe, but i liked it. i really liked george. it is a compliment to all.

  • This is great! I remember the song (big Donovan fan in my early / mid teens) and this complements it beautifully.

  • Well done. Thanks for putting this together.

  • Me encanta la canción (ahora q me he vuelto fan de Donovan :P), y me encanta cómo te ha quedado el vídeo, es precioso!!! xD

  • Jenny ended up marrying Mick Fleetwood and had a couple of kids with him as I recall. Small world.

  • I love the song. Called my cat Jennifer way back in the 60's - after this song.

I saw Donovan live last year. He still looks the same - hasn't aged hardly at all.

  • I never knew about all these gfs he had wow, his first one was prettier I think.

  • whoa...i never knew that she was pattie boyd's sister!

  • Very, very nice. Actually bloody fantastic. Now do the whole thing with the french bridge. You have talent. Use it.

  • ♥♥Loves it.♥♥

  • Excellent work, man :-)

  • This is really good. Smartly done.

    A big thanks!

  • Thanks to you ;)

  • This is a great song! Everyone was better looking then.

  • Great Song and amazing video.....You put a smile on my face. And I've got a calculus test today and will only get 5 hours of sleep....

  • A truly lovely song and a great vid. to go with it! Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks! I named my first daughter "Juniper" after this song.

  • My daughter is named Juniper too - but we learned about the Donavon song after folks asked if we had named her after it! It's a great song!

  • is your name jennifer or juniper? lol.

  • Thanks.. First of all, It was fun to see pictures of the legend. This is the best audio of any of the postings that I've found. I always sing this to Jennifers that I meet. This is a classic love song from a time when love was more important than success. Thanks for your response and especially thanks for posting this in the first place.

  • Thanks to you :)

  • What happened to the verse in French?

  • Jenny Boyd was a sixties model like her sister... (más)

Añadido: 12 de septiembre de 2007

Jenny Boyd was a sixties model like her sister Pattie Boyd.

Donovan fell in love with her and wrote Jennifer Juniper.

This is a video tribute for Donovan,Jenny and the fuckin' great song she inspired.

I am sorry but I hadn't enough pictures and patience to fill the whole video and I left out the french part, maybe one day I'll do it...

  • Excellent, except you MUST have the French part in there. It's not complete. Make a masterpiece!

  • Love it! We named our daughter Jennifer because of this song. She is 5 now and loves to dance to it. GREAT video to go with the song. THank you SO much!

  • Okay,

This song sounds like it is was written quickly you attract a date. Which, apparently, it was meant to do and didn't work very well. But, the song is good and is very catchy.

  • Always loved this song and never realized that her name wasn't Jenny - it was Helen, I think...Pattie says she insisted that her new sister be called Jenny (after her favorite doll).

  • Brilliant video. Very well put together. Loved the photos!

  • awesome... did you do this with comic life on a mac?

  • No, I made it with photoshop and windows movie maker :)

  • Very evocative of those times. Well done.

  • Jennifer Juniper vit sur la colline,

    Jennifer Juniper assise tres tranquille.

    Dort-elle? Je ne crois pas.

    Respire-t-elle? Oui mais tout bas.

Qu'est-ce que tu fais, Jenny mon amour?

Jennifer Juniper Jennifer Juniper Jennifer Juniper.

  • Jennifer Boyd & Pamela Courson could be siblings1 Thanks for this ;-)

  • Love Donivan's music.cool song written when Donivan along with Jenny Boyd,The Beatles Mia Farrow etc. were in India studying the teachings of the mahjeshi. John Lennon busted him for being a fraud

  • I have loved this song (and all of the legendary Donovan's great songs) since I first heard it on an oldies station-in the eighties! This is a beautifully put together video. Great tribute! :)

  • I agree with you this is a really cool vid :)

  • She looks a lot like Sienna Miller - or rather, Sienna Miller looks like Jenny Boyd.

  • I graduated high school 1969. This takes me back to good memories, and fun times!

  • Well done! Never seen those pics before. You've put it together well--a cute tribute!
