@skirtsilike Thanks! I don't know about the best? But I haven't tried looking up other covers of it. But I did have a couple bad notes when I did this you can hear at 2:21 and 2:56 with the wrong harmonic? But I learned it in and shot the video all in one day. It just wasn't enough to try and redo the entire video over again, that I "very rarely" ever do anyways. lol! Besides I let people see my mistakes as well when doing videos. But I am glad you like it!

@vitokool There is only 3 different notes there you are using its the way they are picked though. 1. On you're first and second string on the 7th fret is the first two notes hit. 2. next is second string 7th fret and third string 6th fret 3. Second string 9th fret third string 6th fret. On this third part you alternate picking kinda like so?

hey i have a line 6 spider III 120 watt i need a guitar tone that is based on the tone used on the def leppard album adrenalized do u think you can message me with some settings and maybe the exact settings on ur line 6 for this song. BTW my guitar is an epiphone sg G-400 limited edition

Who's tone are you going after? Phils or Steves? With that guitar I would stick to more of Steve Clarks tones. He is more of the Gibson one with this style guitar. I mean you can kinda get close with some of the tones even with the Gibson styles as long as it on the bridge pickup? Ill write yo the rest, too long for here! lol!

Try to set your distortion as minimum as possible! Just enough to sustain the notes being held. To much is too much with many of Def Leppard tones. They also use very little chorus, reverb, just enough to enhance he tones but not enough to kill it. They also use slight delays in some songs. You need to set up a few different tones that you can switch to fast! Clean, Clean w chorus, Semi Dist, Semi dist w effects. Its how I set mine up to recall at any given time needed for the songs I play.

hey dude what effects do you use cause def leppard is like my favorite band and this my favorite song. I just need the basic kind of def leppard tone. I have a Fender Strat an Epiphone Les Paul and a Laguna with a Line 6 Amp any tips?

Well I would go with your strat for Def Leppard tone. Strat still has a sound of it own though? Hard to break that tone of a strat but staying on the bridge and bridge middle pickups would be your best bet. The Laguna I never heard before? Now what Line 6 amp do you have? And are you able to model tones with that amp? Some I here are pre set tones only on some models of like 15 watt amps. Can you use L6 Edit?

Thanks! Its never too late! I started playing again the second time about 5 &1/2 - 6 years ago? I had stopped for along time!!!! Had a accident and lost everything the 1st time. Music was the only thing I really loved that got me back living again and wanting to move on.

Thanks, yes I created the tones with the podxt. It also has model packs installed in it. dont know if you know what they are? Incase you dont they are extra amps, cabinets, and effects purchase to add to the collection! Awesome stuff man!

Sorry I crashed out early last night. On my cover of Love Bites or Hysteria is the basic setting I use for Def Leppard Songs. Minor adjustments are rarely needed from those 3 tones I created. Your guitars pickup arrangement like my Ibanez is another key factor for there tone. If you watch there videos Phil always has 3 doubles in most of his guitars. Hope this helps. dude great job, totally perfect as far as i can tell, effects are dead on! but i have a question, i just got a pod xt and i have a guitar that has the phil collen guitar pickups but its not that actual guitar, and im tryin to get that phil collen vintage leppard tone, i was jus wondering what you did with the pod xt to get that leppard tone cuz you have it dead on, if you could jus send me a messege or comment back on how to get that tone with the pod xt that would be great, thnks a lot man!!!

Thanks , I like there early stuff when Steve was still with them. I think they were the best band of the 80's as all around music. I think every generation relates to there musical stlye. I seen these guys so many times live and they were NEVER disapointing to listen to or watch. Kick Ass stage shows and performances always!
