It is so kind of you to teach the whole world how to do what you are doing! Weaving a basket is such a wonderful thing to do, no matter who you are or where you live! I like using materials I can find around me, so I am not familiar with reed. We do have a large ash log we have been hammering to loosen the strips from it.
