This was never made to be a combat suit and they don't have unlimited funding like the American project. This was made for the disabled, elderly and their health workers..

However a lighter augmentation frame for military use, HULC (You can search YT for the videos), is much like the "Helper" suit, allowing a solider to carry their typically 60+lb packs and gear quite easily, at speed, over distance. It is battery operated. The HULC has obvious civilian uses, as well.

While the HAL is made to augment both able and disabled (thus the neural sensor for controlling the suit vs the force sensor for HULC). From the looks of it the Ratheon suit is made to be a heavy lifting suit permanently tethered..but that doesn't preclude secret projects, so who knows..
