Fakefactory redid the shadow effects, Bloom, Weapons, Added ironsights, Added MORE models, Added more to the character changing customization, And redid the maps to fit his new style, And even added more language support. I don't think judging by a 2009 copy of his now updated mod makes one damn bit of sense, But maybe you just wanna bitch about something with no right or reason?

cinematic mod would be awesome if it didn't ruin the soundtrack and characters or put huge concrete bridges where they don't belong.

this kinda ruins it for me.

if it was only updated textures, lightning, HDR, and some new statics that don't change the game too much or look out of place (more destroyed buildings in city 17 ... no new bridges, no chrashed airplanes etc), i'd actually like it.

If I were the FakeFactory guys, I would only revamp the maps and the lighting. If you want to mess with the character models, make them a little more hi res, but don't completely redo them... don't get rid of those familiar faces and replace them with... frickin' barbie. However, you should add more variety to the citizens and rebels. Please DON'T change the music, the music is one of the best things about the game.

Anyway, the maps look beautiful, best thing about this mod.

Why does alyx look like a prostitute? I don't think Alyx was meant to look that stupid. The other character models look dumb as well. Why would they be wearing t-shirts, etc.? They were all forced to wear blue work-suits by the Fascist government. Makes no sense why they have their own fashion accessories.

Moreover there are some textures like the door to when the Combine come in and attack you that looks out of place. I don't think this mod is good at all. So out of place on every step.

Why do women in games need to have belly shirts and/or low-cut cleavage? Part of Alyx's appeal was her badassery, not her immediate outward appearance. You're supposed to like the character, not the model.

@megagangster321 A low polygon model that is suppose to be round like a ball becomes more square shaped like a hexagon and unsmooth. If the model has a high polygon count it becomes smoothly round. The old models in HL2 where very square shaped because of the low polygon count, now the new models with a high polygon count has a smooth surface and are more realistic, just look at the heads, compare the old models with new and you 'll see what I mean. Search for Low Poly on Wikipedia.
