This is a kickass school project. Well, you picked a kickass song. I like the Michael Keaton "Batman" reference in the beginning. May I ask what was assigned for the project, just because I'm curious?
@PerformanceLoverC Thank you. It was done back in the 80's. We were learning to use 3/4 inch cameras and the assignment was to create a music video. If I remember right most of the video's in class were concert recording. We were the only one's to do a story based music video.
wish Tim Rice had kept the extra veruse at the end for the 'offical' london concert with Groban, Pascael and Menzal but the concert is still awsome and that song ('the arbiter') without that veruse.....
@Peadarisback Speaking Of Which: " As You Settle Down Behind Your Pawns, Power Passes To Me, You May Play Like Fischer, Capablanca, Tal Combined I Don't Mind Please Feel Free. They All Thought They Were The Big Fromage, But They Don't Have My Clout, I Control The Match, I Start It, I Can Call It Off. Kasparov Found That Out.
This is a pretty great and entertaining video, especially by the factor that it seems to have been made in the early-mid 90's. Specifically what year was it?
I certainly remember this song from back in 1985 where I was lucky enough to get a copy of it. I think it was written by Bjorn and Benny from Abba who had earlier success in Chess with Murray Head and Barbara Dickson/Elaine Paige.
Oh.. the old days... the Library of Doom... when we had time to be creative... I miss those days dearly. Thanks for reminding me that we once had dreams. It's not too late. Can't believe how many people have watched it, though! -B
This has got to be one of the most entertaining viddies I'v seen in a LONG time. I didn't know that anyone else knew this musical, much less would go throgh the time and trouble to make a surprisingly well-staged video for it! You folks really made my day!
well done ... you were Glee B 4 Glee is and the tubby bearded guy is FINE

The British version anyway. The American version sucks. It's like a rock opera spliced with a traditional book musical.
